watching nimona as a trans person has me rethinking how every oc i've ever made with a power of some sort has been a shapeshifter...like some subconscious connection to that ability to change with a thought what i will never be able to
**spoilers for last episode of Good Omens 2**
I was getting so worried as episode 6 went on that the whole season would pass without Crowley and Aziraphale ever having an explicit romance and like. I'm all for subtle romance but it felt dangerously close to queerbaiting in my opinion, especially since Crowley kept saying "it's not like that, we're not like that". BUT THEN the confession and the kiss scene happened and even though it ripped my heart out I'm glad they actually addressed it explicitly, it felt validating that it wasn't just a ship the fandom had come up with and would never become canon.
the sheer pain i felt on crowley's behalf watching gabriel and beelzebub go off to alpha centauri together, just like Crowley always wanted. it broke me. they could have it, why can't crowley and aziraphale have it.
i've been thinking a lot about how neil gaiman has said that season 3 will be based on an unpublished sequel to the original book. i can't stop wondering if that means that he and terry pratchett had always planned for crowley and aziraphale to be romantically involved. because their dynamic was different in the book, and i felt it was more of an "unlikely friendship" story rather than "secretly pining for 6,000 years" like it is in the show. whether it was originally planned or not, i'm obviously very happy that neil chose to take it in that direction for season two, but i can't help but be curious about it, especially since the book was originally published in 1990 and obviously it was a different time where having queer representation like that was rare.
totally not obsessed with the way Crowley went from calling Aziraphale "angel" in the way one would say "kid" to "angel" as in "my love". feeling totally normal about it, actually (i'm clawing at the walls)
