Seriously, thank you all who have read and loved Microcosmos and Worlds Collide so far! I appreciate every single one of you ❤️❤️ I promise to try to have more works published in the next few months - I have so much planned, but I just need to find the time to sit down and write

I have literally read fan fiction that is BETTER than actual published novels…and we are so blessed that they choose to give it to us for FREE

You ever read a fanfiction so, so fucking good that when you're done reading it, you're kinda disoriented? Like the place you were reading it in seems unfamiliar because the story sucked you into the fucking fifth dimension with how good it was? Unparalleled feeling.

Fanfic writers are an absolute gift to humanity.

I’m so sorry for the 3 people (and multiple bots) who might have been eagerly waiting for my Jin fic, but I think I’m gonna table The Season for now…I just can’t seem to work out how I want this story to go, or why I’m writing it. Microcosmos was so much easier (although it took 7 months to write) because I had a clear vision of what message I was telling - it was about connection and healing from something that hurts deep inside. I could easily picture myself in the story (which makes writing dialogue and reactions so much smoother), Jungkook’s and Hobi’s characters were also so fleshed out and I was able to show how friendships are just as important as romantic ones.

But The Season? It feels like a series of words. I have nice moments and good ideas, but I can’t figure out why I need to write this fic. Why Jin? What narrative am I trying to tell? What should the reader feel? What am I trying to say about this world? I just lost my inspiration for it despite all the rewrites and changes I made to it over the past couple months

Maybe later I’m gonna go back to it with a clearer mind, but for now it’s going to the back burner :(

I think one of the lowest lows I’ve experienced recently during my extensive job hunt to get out of retail is getting a rejection email 10 minutes after I applied for a job this afternoon. I hadn’t even gotten the application confirmation email yet…

So The Season takes place in a fictional country, in modern times, because I couldn’t get the tone right for a period piece…then I changed a side character because it made more sense for him to be someone else, and NOW I have rewritten parts of it for a 3rd time because in the original context of the story Jin would have to be Seokjin Kim (since I have named original characters as the western based First Name Family Name style) and I hated it. It just sounds so wrong in my brain. So now there are TWO fictional counties and the one Jin is from in the story is in the Family Name First Name style so his name is the proper looking (and properly said) Kim Seokjin…..my brain hurts and I’m tired 🤣🤣
