Rule one of fandom: there are some things that only exist for us.

Don’t send actors fics

Don’t give them explicit art ever

Don’t tag them in rpf questions or theories

Don’t try to bring them into fandom drama of any kind

Don’t hold them responsible for what the producers and writers decide

They’re still people.  They have private lives, which do not include fandom.

My mistake is always in thinking I'll be able to stop myself at a reasonable point of tiredness, go to sleep, and continue the next day.

The lie detector test determined (over and over and over again)... that was a lie.

Also, while I'm here, to every reader, please please please comment (if you don't usually). What takes you one exhausted night to read can take an author months or even years to labour into the world, and we are SO FUCKING NEEDY FOR VALIDATION. A single comment. A single “I loved this!” Or, even if you didn't, a “thanks for sharing!”

That's where the crack is for us.

I just knocked back a 70k wincest fic over the course of an evening. You know what else is 70k words? The fucking novel on my desk I've been wanting to read for weeks that makes me go "ohh no that's a lotta pages :(" every time i look at it

Uh, what was– Right, yeah. Fic writers have always been hesitant to get into the nitty gritty of realistic anal sex and the hygiene prep and practices it involves. That 'sanitisation', along with lack of education in the area can lead to a lot of misconceptions and the rise of taboos. Well, lucky for us, that's what the Fact Versus Fiction series is all about!

Even if you don’t post fics on here- they clearly got my fic from my AO3 since it includes the AO3 tags and summary. You can report it as copyright violation, as the DMCA protects intellectual property.
