I'm in a point I ship all about them.

Out of the 3 Forgers, Yor was the one who made the most good first impression to a Desmond.

Hi, I love your Spyxfamily analysis! There's something I want to ask you to analyze. Does Yoru feel attacked to Twilight? Her office "friends" think he's good looking and I think he knows he's good looking as well, but so far, Yor hasn't said anything.

In my opinion, currently she's fallen in love with the family, but I'm not sure about her feelings for Loid.

What do you think? Any predictions on how this might develop?

Oh! Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoy my analyses! Precisely, I did an analysis of chapter 35 of the manga where I talk about that topic.

But if I have to give my conclusion, it would be:

If I had to define the relationship that Loid (Twilight) and Yor currently have, it would be two people with a "romantic attraction"= They like each other, they have chemistry between them, respect and admire each other, and genuinely care about each other's well-being, and they find in each other the support and the desire to be better to see themselves happy.

This for me is the clear definition of "love". It is a relationship that is being built and from which they are constantly learning.

But, we must keep in mind that Twilight and Yor have not been "conventional" people. Their lives have been plagued by a lot of pain and abrupt changes that have prevented them from living stages of their lives. So it's natural that their perception of "being in love" is low.

Obviously, the state of their current relationship is very complicated, there are too many lies and conflicts surrounding the life of the Forger family. They are two strangers who agreed to a deal for convenience, started a relationship by cohabitation, and both think that their jobs are impediments to having a happy and peaceful life.

For one, the other is an ordinary person, and both want to protect the quiet life of the other. The two are willing to do anything to preserve the peaceful world where the other lives. Without having any idea, that they both pursue the same ideal, and share the same feeling.

Twilight's problem lies in his fear that the world could descend into war at any moment. Reliving all the traumas that accompany him from childhood. This prevents him from wanting to accept whatever feelings are growing for Yor, Anya and Bond. If he does, it would be admitting that he has become attached. For someone whose ideal should be peace, having personal longings becomes selfish. He feels that establishing any relationship will end badly, whether he dies during a mission, or has to fulfill a mission that takes him away from the family.

Just like Yoru, she clearly expressed fear of receiving a wound that would make her move away from them. For Yoru, his ideal of "protecting the peaceful life of others" is important. Because if the ambitions of people unleash a war, the people she loves will be harmed.

It is normal, that they have not openly admitted any feelings. For them it is not easy to do it, because falling in love wanting to start a family can currently have many implications and would only confuse them more. The romantic feelings are there, but they are not ready to accept them.

So it's easier to justify everything by saying "I do this for my mission", or… "I do this because I love being in a family". They are barriers that both use so as not to deal with the implications

Regarding the development....

Well, it's hard to predict the direction Endo wants to take. So far each plot twist is more surprising. In addition, the actions of the Forger family are subject to antagonists. It is still a mystery what is the cause behind the war and the plans behind it.

Let's keep in mind that SxF is a dramatic comedy. Endo's main focus is to explore "the consequences that war produces", and how love can heal and give a second chance…. And not so much a plot of love

But, none of that prevents Twilight and Yor from getting together. Especially when the entire plot strives to create that bond full of feelings, learning and tension… The two are fools when they are close to each other 💜

However, I think that Endo is individually and collectively developing each of the Forgers. Developing Anya, Yoru and sometimes even Bond

Twilight's development is more complicated. Because even though he is constantly changing, breaking all those implicit rules in his work, worrying about making his wife and daughter happy. He's not ready to admit it, and live in denial

So I assume that at some point he may begin to recognize it, or… an event forces him to accept these feelings.

But I think that for the moment, we will have to wait for the plot to develop

I also want to know why monkey king wanted to retire in the first place. He, in the show and the novel, loved fighting, praise, and actively benefiting his troop.

I’m just don’t know why he would give it all up, or choose to have a successor when he is still fit.

This has been bothering me for a while and one of my main gripes with the show.

My current theory is that he saw that there really wasn’t any other large evil or opposition after trapping the bull king so he decided retire and spend a lot more time with his family/subjects. He probably was also the one that had a game made based on his journey to the west and some brand deals or something, considering his lawyer, his tv series and his merchandise. I don’t know if he contributed to the novel about his journey though.

Saying that, I hope we actually get to see wukong spending more meaningful time with his troop as in the novel he is shown to care about them a lot and really upholds his title of being the monkey king. In the show he is shown with some other monkeys sometimes but they really put an emphasis on the friends he had during his journey to the west when they should also at least acknowledge the importance of the family and friends of his troop he had prior to meeting his other friends and going on a life changing journey and after. We know that the show changed some events of the novels so I don’t know if they’re keeping the part where monkey king was trapped underneath a mountain for his bad behavior for a lonely 500 years before the monk came to recruit him to his journey as atonement for his sins.

I am thinking that the reason why monkey king started becoming more active and looking for MK as his successor was because he somehow was made aware of princess iron fan and red boy’s plan to release bull king.

But I still want to know why he wanted a successor in the first place when again, his is still fit for fighting. Obviously later on with the help of his friends (more accurately mk’s friends) they defeat lady bone demon, but that still doesn’t explain his initial actions and reasons for why wanted a successor, more specifically for MK to be his successor.

I also don’t understand how this naturally overpowered, who had continued to gain more powers, magical monkey was able to put a copy of his powers into his staff so that MK, an ordinary human with an ordinary body could absorb it.

I know some of this stuff would probably not get a big explanation or screen time, and that some elements would probably be looked over for the sake of this children’s show. But at least they could incorporate some scenes and some explanations somehow from what I’ve mentioned above.

A POSSIBLE EPISODE KINDA IDEA FOR LEGO MONKIE KID THAT I HAD AND I WANNA SHARE!! OBVIOUSLY SEASON 3 SPOILERS!

OK! So we all know that at the end of season 3, we finally got the talk between Wukong and MK about how the King left the kid behind and also his apology. (God I love that scene qwq).

BUT!!! We never talked about how MK feels like he's not good enough and how he thinks that Monkey King chose wrong. Which brings us to the idea I had!! What if, when and if we get the episode where they talk about his insecurities, we also get a backstory with how Monkey King ended up choosing MK as his successor?? Cause from the pilot, if we exclude the theory that Wukong was the one that called the noodle shop to get MK to go to the construction site where the stuff was, we also had that small scene where Monkey King was a ladybug, looking at MK sleeping. (not creepy at all >w>)

That pretty much confirms that he had his eyes on him BEFORE MK even went for the delivery. I for one am DYING to know how that decision came to be! X3 Not to mention, did MK manage to lift the stuff because he was "the chosen one" in a way, or because Monkey King let him lift it?? Idk BUT I SERIOUSLY NEED THIS IN MY LIFE I'M BEGGING FOR THIS TO BE EXPLAINED AT SOME POINT PLSSSS!!

Btw, to everyone calling Twilight a tsundere, you guys clearly do not know what that word means. It means being cold and aloof or just plain old mean-spirited while having and denying warm feelings for someone, whether that be platonic, familial, or romantic. Damian is actually a good example of this.

Twilight is not.

Yes, he's probably in denial of his feelings for his little makeshift family. Yes, he is actively rationalizing his every little move with them because with his occupation, he will have to leave them eventually and getting attached will only hurt everyone more.

BUT.

He is not cold or aloof or mean toward them in any way. He's the exact opposite. He's warm, willing to go to lengths for them that could be detrimental to his mission, using said mission to excuse his attitude for them, claiming its all an act, but not being able to help himself. He's constantly complimenting Yor for being herself and lovingly spoiling Anya every chance he gets.

He's, at most, gently stern with Anya, sometimes, maybe. And only once did he even question Yor's innocence, and he immediately felt guilty for it.

Twilight is not a tsundere, and this fandom needs to stop misusing that term.
