so this is a way for you all to get portions of each boy’s backstory prior to Sleeping Dogs; don’t be fooled though, there’s more to these stories than you think, and the scars, oh they run deep.

They are one of the most feared gangs in all of Seoul, their names spoken only in hushed tones. Nine brothers with an unbreakable bond thicker than blood, who will kill all those who oppose them.

But, in order to understand how these boys’ stories and hearts are intertwined, one must first know who they were as individuals.

NAME: KIM SEOKWOO

ALIAS: ROWOON

D.O.B: August 7th, 1996

STATUS: Alive; Soldier

NOTES: Seokwoo had been the star son, with the perfect grades to get him into Seoul’s policy academy as soon as he had graduated high school. But stars die and fall, and in time, so did he when he failed to save one of the most important people in his life. Baek Juho.

D.O.B: January 17th, 2000

STATUS: Alive; Engineer

NOTES: Chanhee was exceptionally bright. He could make anything out of nothing, and fix the unfixable. But the one thing Chanhee couldn’t do was put back together the broken pieces of his life.

STATUS: Alive; Negotiator

NOTES: Taeyang had always been an observer, watching the world pass by like a movie. It wasn’t until the world threw him into the wrong place at the right time that he would come to understand that in this city, it’s do or die.

ALIAS: ZUHO

D.O.B: July 4th, 1996

STATUS: Alive; Collector

NOTES: Juho had always been a good kid, aspiring to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a detective, but it was a fool’s dream and Juho realized he had been played as the fool the day his father died at the hands of the one man he thought he could trust. Though, his father wasn’t the only one he lost that day, but it would be much, much later before he saw his best friend, Kim Seokwoo again.
