The music vibrated through the club so hard you could feel it in your chest, replacing the heartbeat that was supposed to be there. Wanda had dragged you to another house party, though lord knows you hadn’t done anything else with your weekends since she met Sam in her biology lab.

He and his friends were known on campus as stereotypical party boys, and they fit the description perfectly. Even in the few weeks you’d known them, you were amazed at their ability to attend class and maintain their grades when they were blackout every weekend. It was something of a talent, if you were being honest.

Though that wasn’t their only talent, you thought as a flush creeped down your neck, remembering just last weekend how one of said friends had managed to get you alone in their hall closet and drop to his knees to worship every inch of you.

Bucky’s flirting had started out as just that - simple flirting. He had a bit of a reputation for being a playboy and, even though you weren’t looking for anything serious, you also weren’t looking to be a notch in his bedpost. But he was relentless, from the very first night Wanda brought you around, and soon drunken makeouts every couple of weekends turned into secret dates and a weekend getaway that you still weren’t sure how you had managed to keep your friends from finding out.

And you were sure your luck was running out, because every weekend brought a new place in the house to hookup, a new opportunity for the two of you to get caught in a very compromising position. And it didn’t seem like Bucky had any intention of stopping any time soon.

You never really stopped to wonder why the two of you had decided to keep your situationship a secret; it had started out as nothing serious, but the more you fell for him, the more you wondered what it would be like to have his intense focus on you not only in the comfort of empty apartments and hotel rooms, but in front of your friends as you sat in his lap at a party or next to him in the library.

Every thought left you anxious, scared that Bucky didn’t want the more that you did, scared that he would laugh in your face and leave you for the next person, even though you all but knew for sure that he was just as taken with you.

With more than a little liquid courage in you, you decided that tonight would be the night to risk it all - you couldn’t take not knowing anymore.

Eyes searching, you followed Bucky’s movements across the party, moving from the kitchen and serving drinks to the living room, partnering up with Steve for a round of beer pong. You sidled up to Wanda and Sam - playing opposite Bucky and Steve - and she looked at you knowingly; it was like she could read your mind.

You waited as the game went back and forth, sipping on your drink but trying to maintain a relatively straight head, and took your chance as Bucky sunk the last cup, winning them the game.

He threw his hands in the air, high fiving his friends all around, before his gaze fell on you. He pushed through the small group of people that had gathered to watch, halting right in front of you. Your eyes met his, not sure what his next move was, as he reached for you. He moved slowly, giving you a chance to push him away, to stop whatever decision he was about to make, but you wouldn’t dream of it.

You let his hands run gently down your arms, caressing the exposed skin and leaving goosebumps in his wake. His eyes searched yours for any sign of hesitation and, when he saw none, he hooked a finger in your belt loop, pulling you flush against him. His other hand came up and rested at the nape of your neck, tilting your head up until your mouth met his.

It was as if the rest of the world melted away; even the cheers and whoops of your friends were muffled as Bucky’s lips moved over yours.

When you finally broke apart, Steve was begrudgingly shoving a twenty dollar bill in Sam’s outstretched hand, a smug smile on his face, and Wanda looked on ecstatically.

“Took you long enough,” you teased, leaning into him as he wrapped an arm around your shoulders and guided you towards your friends.

“No kidding,” Sam said. “Another week and Stevie here would have won, and I just couldn’t have that.”

Steve grumbled under his breath as you laughed, feeling happier than you had in a long, long time.

“No,” Bucky replied to Sam, though his attention was still solely focused on you. “We certainly couldn’t have that at all.”

yeah i turned your boyfriend into an unreliable narrator. sorry. yeah, he's exaggerating aspects of the story to cast himself in a better light. he's obscuring the narrative he doesn't want to think about. he's misrepresenting others to further his own ends. yeah, i think he's doing it as some sort of emotional defence mechanism. his story cannot be trusted. sorry.

 OUR LUNCHBOX

you’ve known seungkwan for years, since the last year of middle school and frankly, you’ve never been lucky enough to be in the same class as him. each year you would see all your friends be put in the same class as his but never you. over time you learned to deal with it, but secretly you still hold a grudge against the school.

in your last year of highschool, luck finally waltzed over to your side, making you and seungkwan share a class. it was only one class and it was math, but at that point, you weren’t going to complain.

besides the very few classes you shared with him per week, you would still see each other in group hangouts, directly greeting each other when arriving at the place of rendez-vous.

but exam season has arrived and that means one thing, no group hangouts anymore for the time being.

you had a hard time going from almost daily group hangouts to weekly group hangouts to monthly group hangouts, all your friends busy studying at home or at the library in their free time.

but you simply couldn’t lock yourself up in a room and study all day, you need fresh air and other people around! so because of the lack of group hangouts, seungkwan proposed something; weekly hangouts for the two of you, one on one.

so every thursday after math class, the one class you share, you two meet up at your favorite table bench near the cherry blossom trees and behind the science building, away from prying eyes.

you often share snacks then, greedy hands picking another grape out of your my melody lunchbox seungkwan gave you for your middle school graduation, or gossip, sharing the latest secrets and news about your peers or acquaintance and giggling loudly about your teacher’s third husband or your classmate jongsu’s obvious crush on his deskmate, mikyung.

it’s always a nice moment, spending time with seungkwan– one you cherish, and you always look forward to it, passing little paper notes to each other in math class in excitement, pens scattered over your joint desks.

there was not one time you recall where you weren’t happy to spend time with seungkwan, where you didn’t have a big smile on your face, where you didn’t joyfully run over to the table bench and take the spot in the sun, always claiming it was your favorite spot but really letting seungkwan sit in his favorite spot right under the cherry blossom trees.

so when you two walk over to the table bench and you don’t run towards it and you don’t call out his name as you throw your bag on the wooden table, seungkwan gets a bit confused, eyebrows furrowing as he watches you slowly and quietly take a seat on the other bench, the one in the shadow.

he doesn’t really know what’s wrong and he’s scared to bring it up, scared that he’s going to look dumb for asking. because then you would find out he notices your little routine and maybe you would find it suspicious, and maybe you would finally realize that the glint in his eyes when he looks at you isn’t malicious but full of love.

seungkwan knows he’s staring so he looks away, eyes lingering on the way your fingers play with the elastic pink band from your lunchbox. it’s pretty quiet for your usual afternoon hangout, but to his surprise, seungkwan doesn’t find it that unpleasant.

if he didn’t know you weren’t your usual self, the silence would have probably been very comforting.

“so, did you hear what happened to jieun? i heard she tried to steal the test papers for english class.” seungkwan’s voice is soft as he speaks, eyes slowly peeking at your face.

you smile a bit, taking off the elastic band around your lunchbox and seungkwan chuckles, nodding as you glance up at him.

he continues, “apparently she didn’t show up for tutoring like she usually does because she was out with a boy from another highschool..”

your eyes widen a bit in curiosity and he knows you’re starting to become more like yourself again, more like the yn he knows. “-so she stole the papers because she didn’t study?”

the boy grins, “tried. she got caught by the gym teacher when he came by our class during lunch break.” seungkwan shakes his head at the information, a chuckle leaving his mouth. “i knew there was something going on between the gym teach’ and english teach’, he’s always hanging around her class and she even steps out sometimes to talk to him.”

at this point, you’re full on smiling, biting on the straw of your favorite cardboard juice box. “wow, i didn’t think jieun would ever even miss a tutoring session– she always said she could never take her eyes off the hottie who tutors english.”

seungkwan blinks, throat running dry. he snatches a slice of apple out of the lunchbox, eyes following your every movement as you fiddle with the strap of your bag.

“you think the guy is hot? how old is he even, 35?”

seungkwan sounds way more jealous than he wished he would but luckily, you don’t pick up on his bitter tone, arm stretching out towards him as you offer him another apple slice. the boy takes it eagerly, a blush creeping up on his cheeks as you continue to behave oblivious to his obvious attraction to you.

you tilt your head back, body leaning backwards as your hands keep a tight grip on the edge of the table. seungkwan gulps, he can see the wind blowing through your hair, sending you shivers.

“mmmh, not sure. he was cute before, but then he cut his hair.”

your tone is one he could describe as unbothered, and he’s glad that you don’t sound regretful or upset.

“yeah i’ve heard about the hair thing you girls talk about.” he starts off, genuinely curious about the whole ordeal. “i didn’t know a bad haircut could change your opinion on someone so quickly.”

for the first time since you two left math class that day, you lock eyes and you smile at him. a beautiful smile that makes his heart flutter and his cheeks heat up, ears reddening.

“you don’t have to worry about something like that, ‘kwannie. nothing could ever change the way i feel about you.”

his heart skips a beat, eating up every word that falls from your lips.

you don’t seem to notice how serious what you just said is. how important it is to him. how much it made his love for you grow. and if you did, then you’re really good at hiding your true intentions.

he doesn’t really know what to say, shuffling in his seat on the bench. suddenly, his favorite spot now feels like it’s closing down on him, nonexistent walls trapping you both inside a bubble until you’re inches apart and the tension breaks.

it’s again silent for a little while, the wind being the only one disrupting it. promptly, he starts to look around again, finding comfort in the most mundane things. he finds himself staring at a bird on a branch of one of the cherry blossom trees surrounding you. the bird hops towards the end of the branch before flying to another one, chirping and hopping again. out of nowhere, a second bird arrives and flies over to sit next to the first one, chirping too.

it makes him smile a bit.

seungkwan doesn’t know how much time passes until he decides to finally break the silence. he also doesn’t know what to say, so he opts for the safest option– something that’s normal during your weekly hangout; gossip.

“so, do you have an update about the prank those three freshmans are trying to pull on your chem teacher– what’s her name again, miss jung?”

you hum but shake your head. “no, they are still working on it. apparently, one of them got scammed while buying the bugs online.. tsk, i don’t think they will be able to pull it off before summer break.” you audibly sigh, biting one last time on the straw of your drink before placing the now empty juice box on the table.

with the way you frantically look around, seungkwan knows there’s something you’re not telling him, so he keeps quiet and waits.

“but, i heard something else. something interesting.”

seungkwan almost immediately gives you his full attention. normally, when gossiping with him, you would always blurt out the information or tease him about the new things that you heard. but never before had you done this, avoiding the subject until it was impossible to run away from it. was what you had found out really that bad?

the wind picks up a bit and he leans forward, arms crossed on the wooden table as cherry blossom petals slowly succumb to the sudden breeze, landing on the fresh ground and creating a realm of light pink clouds.

“moonbin told me something he wasn’t supposed to.”

his breath hitches in his throat. his body stills. his palms begin to sweat. seungkwan just watches you from across the table, a surprised but worried expression on his face. his hair flies with the wind and suddenly, he’s cold, even with his uniform jacket on.

he doesn’t notice it at first, too busy panicking internally, but then he sees it, the light red hues appearing on your cheeks. as if roses bloomed beneath your soft skin. it’s only visible for a fleeting second but he noticed, mind going blank. it wouldn’t be…

seungkwan doesn’t know where the sudden confidence even comes from but he finds himself looking you right in the eye and asking, “what did moonbin tell you?”

now there’s no going back, for the both of you.

you fiddle with your fingers, the words almost not being able to leave your mouth. “he told me that we always talk about other people’s crushes when instead, we should talk about our own.”

he knows that it was probably an accident, a moment in class where moonbin didn’t think twice before blabbering, but it doesn’t make him feel any better. “what else did he tell you?”

“he told me you had a crush, and that i know her.”

you don’t look at him anymore and the air feels almost suffocating. you could slice the tension between you two with a knife.

“you do know her. quite a lot actually.”

the knife took its aim, slicing through the thick cloud of tension.

you smile, heart eyes evident. “well, then you should know that i have a crush on someone too, and that you know that person very well too.”

this time it’s seungkwan’s time to smile, his short hair falling elegantly around his eyes. he leans forward a bit more, elbow and palm supporting his head as he stares at you, trying to remember every part of your face.

“my person always brings grapes to school, and she always shares.”

you grin, popping a grape right in your mouth, glossy lips gaining seungkwan’s attention.

“well, my person likes apple slices, and he always steals them from me.”

a chuckle leaves seungkwan’s mouth and he beams, unable to stop himself from blushing, again and again.

you decide to tease him a bit, absolutely craving to see his love-struck smile again, even if it’s only for a second. “you’re lucky your person brings her lunchbox to school then.”

seungkwan doesn’t mind the teasing, a sweet smile adorning his face as his shoulders relax, a cherry blossom petal falling next to him.

you stretch your arm out again, one last time as the lunchbox is now empty, holding up the last apple slice for him. the boy– your friend, crush, lover, you’re not sure what to call him yet, takes the piece of fruit from you, happily munching on it while keeping his eyes on you.

“my person, our lunchbox.”

HI LOVEEEER

I have a blurb for inflection point 👀👀 SOMETHINT MORE HOLY BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE EVERYONE HAD A SHITTY ASS WEEK!!

Jeonghanio and Seungcheol are just chattin away on their couch and reader comes home hella annoyed bc of work even tho jeonghans like "🤨" and then its just comforting bc reader just drops mega f bombs everywhere to a point where both men are terrified.

ANAGWAYS U DONT HAVE TO RESPOND I JUST HAD A IDEA 🫶🏼🫶🏼 LOVE UEYEYEYE

⟣ when you're having a bad day ⟢ wc: 1.8k words tags: fluff, sooo much fluff, cuddling

HI LOVEEEER

All you could think about after this shitshow of a workday is your wonderful cloud couch at home.

Not only does it provide maximum comfort during your...more risqué activities with either or both of your boyfriends, but on days much like this one, you can just sink into the plush cushions and let them swallow you whole. Almost like you're floating on a fluffy cloud—hence, the namesake.

You were mortified when Jeonghan finally spilled just how much money Seungcheol invested into that sofa. It was probably three—no, four times more expensive than the king-sized mattress he'd gotten for the three of you a year ago. Then and there, you realized that your first love has developed quite the eye for home furniture, and decided to make good on his paychecks by purchasing only the best of the best.

But the net worth of your cloud couch isn't the issue here.

When you shut the door behind you, the idle background noise from that sitcom Jeonghan has taken a fancy to these days flits to your ears—somehow easing the tension in your shoulders. He had to stay home because of a fever that's been running since yesterday evening. While that resulted to you having to cover for your boss' responsibilities for the day, you were glad to know he's been resting up just like you insisted all morning.

Jeonghan was particularly stubborn about using up a sick leave because one of the company's more insufferable clients scheduled a meeting with him today—one that apparently can't be pushed back a day since he's flying out of the country tonight.

So, like the outstanding employee and girlfriend you are, you reassured your boss-turned-lover to just relax, and that you and his secretary, Joshua have got it covered.

Besides, you've been in this business with Jeonghan for years. How bad could he possibly be?

"Whoa," Seungcheol pipes up from where he's buried under a fluffy comforter with Jeonghan on the couch. "You look like shit, babe. What happened?"

"Seungcheol," Jeonghan kicks his leg, and you don't miss the nasal quality to his voice. Your lover's miffed expression then morphs into something more hospitable. when he turns to you with a smile. "Hey, sweetheart. How was work? Not too difficult without me?"

You answer their questions by collapsing on the vacant spot right next to Jeonghan, a whine caught in the back of your throat as you buried your face his sweatshirt. He smells like laundry detergent and Salonpas—a far cry from his usual expensive colognes, but it fills you with a sense of quiet satisfaction, knowing you get to see him this vulnerable.

And Jeonghan can also see how vulnerable you are right now.

"He's so..." you trail off for a moment, the words lost on you because of how pissed off you are. "Why are we even considering doing business with such a fucking creep?"

Seungcheol tenses from the other side, rising a little to furrow his brows. "I know I don't usually ask about the specifics, but is this about that new client of yours? Did he do something weird to you? Am I going to have to beat someone up?"

Jeonghan sighs, easing a palm across Seungcheol's thigh over the comforter. "Cheol, calm down. If Mr. Seo has a type, it's definitely not our princess over here."

"What does that even mean?"

You huff before tucking your legs to your chest and shifting your weight into Jeonghan. You know you probably shouldn't be putting too much strain on someone who's sick but you can't help it!

"That weirdo wouldn't stop eye-fucking Joshua during the entire meeting! I bet he was even happy that Hannie wasn't with us today 'cause there was no one else that could tell him off. Joshua isn't exactly the confrontational type either, so..."

Jeonghan presses his lips together before making you rest your head on his shoulder, stroking your hair to placate you somehow. "But you're the confrontational type, right? Why didn't you show that asshole his place, hm? You've seen me do it dozens of times."

"In case you're forgetting, I'm just a regular employee, Hannie." You roll your eyes. "If I talk back to him, he might just have me fired."

"Who gets to hire and fire people in the office again?"

"...You."

"And do you seriously think I would fire my favorite employee?" Jeonghan teases, leaning down to plant a kiss on your nose. "You give the best head underneath my desk, love. What makes you think I'll let you go so easily?"

Your reaction is immediate, and Jeonghan lets out a soft chuckle when you peel yourself away from his embrace to relocate on Seungcheol's side—glaring at your boss as you grab tightly onto the football star's arm.

"Look what you did," Seungcheol laughs before nuzzling your hair affectionately. "As much as I want to know what that feels like, there's a time and place for everything, Han. Don't her feathers look ruffled enough?"

You let out a petulant noise, making a show of tilting your chin up with indignance. "Yeah, Hannie, haven't I gotten enough shit today?"

"Aside from the not-so-discreet Mr. Seo," he starts before getting up to pad over to your side so that you're sandwiched between your two lovers, "what else has gotten our baby so pissed off today?"

You puff out your cheeks, face souring at the mere thought of recalling everything that happened since you walked out of the door to your house today.

Since Jeonghan was sick, you convinced Seungcheol to stay at home to take care of him, despite the latter insisting that he drive you to work. You promised that you could manage, and that you sort of missed commuting to the office anyways.

That's your first mistake because you had no clue that the trains were down today, and you had to stand in a long line at the taxi bay, since none of the city buses pass by any areas near your workplace. You were already running a bit late as is, so you couldn't afford to walk either.

Today, you were an hour late for work when you've never been tardy your entire life (except for that one time your boyfriends tag-teamed you too intensely on a Monday morning, damn these men). In your attempt at apologizing profusely to Joshua—bowing a full ninety degrees and everything—you ended up knocking over his iced americano in the process.

The drink splashed all over an important document Jeonghan's secretary had been going over before your arrival, and that was honestly the first time you saw Joshua look like he wanted to strangle someone in the years you've worked alongside him.

It certainly did not help that you were supposed to meet that creep, Mr. Seo immediately after that altercation. Even if you managed to strike an acceptable deal with him after a few compromises, you could practically hear Joshua silently pleading for god to just kill him with lightning right then and there.

He must've been having just as bad a day as you are.

Your domino effect of misfortune carried over until lunch time when the nearby taco joint got your order mixed up. That happens pretty often though, and on a regular day, you wouldn't have minded, but with how terrible things have gone today, you ended up breaking down in a public bathroom.

As you animatedly recount the day's events, your two boyfriends listen intently. You're completely oblivious to how they slowly and quietly eased you into a more comfortable position on the couch—your back resting against Seungcheol's chest while Jeonghan props your legs on his lap.

"It was just a shitty fucking day," you complain, tears stinging the back of your eyes. You're not sad. You just tear up very easily whenever you're too stressed for your own good. "I hated that Hannie wasn't there. I hated the commute. I hated ruining Joshua's day. And I hate Mr. Seo even if he's bringing us a ridiculous amount of profit in the next few months."

Your rant makes you sound like a kid who got denied the toy she wants at the department store, and you hold your tongue at the realization. Seungcheol shakes his head before grasping your chin with his hand, turning your head so that your eyes would meet.

"Baby, I'm sorry we weren't there for you." He wipes the moisture from your eyes before pressing a long kiss on your lips—one that you immediately melt into. When Seungcheol pulls away, you even find yourself pouting.

"Trust me, I would've filled in Jeonghan's shoes for the day if I knew his absence would take this much of a toll on you," he reassures.

Jeonghan shakes his head at your lover's admission before nuzzling the crook of your neck. "Mmm... I don't know about that, Cheol. You might make the company go under within five minutes of talking to any of our clients."

Seungcheol scowls at him, and you stifle a quiet laugh. Can't argue with that. You and Jeonghan know very well that the way Seungcheol deals with problems is a bit too...aggressive for a corporate setting. He's better off channeling all that frustration in the field.

You jolt a little when Jeonghan circles his arms around your waist, peppering your neck, jaw, and cheeks with kisses that have you laughing at his ridiculousness. He only stops when his face is directly in front of yours, and you can't help the way your heart flutters when his lips curve into a handsome smile.

"Thank you for covering for me today, princess," he breathes, nuzzling your nose with his. "I can't kiss you on the lips 'cause you might get sick, too, but I hope you know how much I love you."

"I don't mind getting your cooties," you tease before leaning closer to kiss the corner of his mouth. "I love you, too, Hannie. But god, I can't imagine how you deal with our clients firsthand. It's one thing to watch you talk to them, but it's another to be the one making the important decisions on the spot."

"And you wonder why I make so much money," he chuckles.

Behind you, Seungcheol taps your thigh to call your attention, and you glance back at him with curious eyes.

"Jeonghan said he wanted to watch a bunch of Land Before Time movies when you got home, but we haven't decided on where to have dinner delivered from yet," he explains, leaning forward to press his lips to your temple. "You got any ideas, beautiful?"

Just like that, the day's stress has gone up in smoke. Though your beloved cloud couch certainly adds a degree of comfort you direly needed, cuddling with your two boyfriends is what ultimately quells your less-than-stellar mood. Even if the stream is lagging a little, and Seungcheol is getting crumbs and grease all over the comforter...

You wouldn't have it any other way.
