Monster High Live Action movie headcanon

Viperine and Deuce are the same person. He is trans. Viperine is his deadname.

this only came to mind cause I was looking at promo art and wondering why deuce has normal hair and snake hair. Cause Viperine has that, Deuce just has full snakes. Answer: one and the same in the live action

I honestly really hate the narrative that Daring Charming is selfish in Epic Winter. Like, Daring has never been selfish before. He might be a bit vain but he has always thought of others before him. For examples, he didn't tell on Lizzie despite the fact that he would lose the bet. He turned into a dog in one of the books and had stayed to protect Briar who had turned into a patch of roses.

Idk, I hate that they make him sooooo yk

possible explanations for Baymax being able to get 10 bags full of menstrual products:

Hiro updated his programming so he can have a bit of money linked to a debit card or something

Baymax has no money but found an employee instead. Baymax politely and calmly told them that he needs to get a small city's worth of pads and tampons right away, you see he has a patient and it's very urgent, and the cashier who does NOT get paid enough to argue with or explain the concept of capitalism to an 8 foot tall crimefighting robot was like "man, just go"

Baymax knows exactly how money and capitalism works but thinks it has no place in medicine, and regularly just straight-up shoplifts in the name of free and effective healthcare

Jokes aside, I think a proper, serious monster high/ever after high was due, since the underlying messages to both toylines are closely aligned <- insane sentence to say

Monster High says to not be afraid to be different. It asks you to uplift those that are cast aside and embrace diversity as a positive thing, even if the system has been built to reject you. It tells you to make your own choices, to choose to live your life however you’re happier, and to always offer kindness in the face of adversity.

Ever After High says that there is a reason why those that are different are cast aside in the first place. It asks you to question the mechanisms that have put discrimination in place. It tells you that those that don’t want you to follow your own path have a vested interest in keeping certain types people under their heel.

Monster High asks you what can you do about discrimination. Ever After High tells you who benefits from it.

That video of Alex Hirsch reading S&P notes for Gravity Falls conveys a few things to me:

1) the U.S. entertainment industry (especially animation) is run by older conservative types who make up offensive terms and get really mad about them.

2) the people who run Disney would be the first to fall in line with a fascist regime.

3) most of the media we consume is tailor-made and watered-down to appeal to the tastes of older, deeply religious conservative audiences.

4) conservatism, not the left, is and always has been the biggest voice of censorship in American culture.
