Artemis fowl is such a good character because he just fucking sucks. He’s just a little cringefail loser who gets winded going up the stairs. If he’s in any even remotely physical situation on his own than the books don’t even pretend that he can hold his own at all. Other books would teach him like martial arts or something but the one time they tried he got bored and created a weapon of mass destruction. Literally perfect representation of men who are just bad at things forever
