I got a very nice ask from @charsimsalot asking about my process for taking screenshots, but before I get to that I wanted to share some of my favorite pre-Simblr screenies. These were stories I was making solely for myself, and I feel like I owe a lot to them. I didn't know it at the time, but they were my practice runs for everything I'm doing now! I'm very glad I can always look back at them. Yes, there are things I would have done differently, but they mostly fill me with warm and fuzzy memories. I love all these pixels very much and would like to return to their legacy eventually. 🥰

I'm always reluctant to share links because I feel like it's a little embarrassing I was doing so much for almost no one to see. But it's an important little piece of me, so if you're curious, here's where you can actually read their stories. You can even see how dodgy my graphic design skills were in the banners, lol!

Context for this post:

Alec is very stern on becoming friends with Greg. She feels in her heart that they have a connection. The dreams that feel like memories from the past are the reason why Alec is in Moonwood Mill in the first place. On the other hand, Greg doesn't want anything to do with Alec (is it because shes annoying? or is it because he feels something? idk).

Alec's words send Greg into shock because they remind him of someone from his past....someone...special to him.

Greg begins to hallucinate his dead wife, Avelina and passes out in front of Alec.

[ TRANSCRIPT ]

first scene

Alec: Hey, Greg! Can we talk about yesterday?

Greg: *sigh* no.

second scene

[Alec out of frame]

Oh come on, we clearly got off the wrong foot. We can be friend! I dont care what people say about you.

greg: Just...leave. I have nothing to say to you nor do I intend on becoming your "friend"

third scene

alec: but--

greg: ugh, Just get out of my sight Alec. You've been nothing, but a pain in my ass.

fourth scene

*these are the words that trigger Greg*

Alec: *pouts* Im not giving up on you...

*greg in complete shock hearing those words, he hears another voice echoing inside his mind...*

fifth scene

alec & avelina: Greg, you're scaring me, are you alright?

sixth scene

greg: avelina? *passes out*

"maybe their place will be good for parties."

"yeah, don't hold your breath. that lot is in shit shape." they say that the devil works fast, but not a damn soul spreads gossip quite like a bored teenager. despite only having been enrolled for a day, rumors about willow and wisteria circulated the halls of their new school at sonic speeds. everything from their family lineage to their method of means was called into question while the explanation for any of it only became more and more outlandish with every iteration.

"what are we going to do?"

"do about what?"

"all the gossip, will! can you not hear what people are saying?"

"I hear them."

"and?"

"and I'm grateful they're so far from the truth." willow shrugged. she inhaled deeply and glanced over at her half-sister. "just embrace the new infamy, babe. you will never be this intimidating again. did you hear we burned down our parents house for the insurance money?"

"cute. so then why are we still so poor?"
