So What? - Mini Teaser

Pair: Hybrid Cat Yoongi x F ReaderÂ
Summary: Running from a past that foreshadows him, Yoongi is adamant about ever turning back to his human counterpart form, in hopes that nobody would recognise him and take him away. You worked at a cafe with your best friend. As a more-than-normal day seemed to go by, you discovered something amidst your housing block. Perhaps - just perhaps, the nighttime is where the angels arrive.Â
Genre: Angst, Fluff, Hybrid, non-idol au
Warnings: Contains explicit language, abuse
Mini Teaser:
âHmm⌠Hybrids have such a thing called mates. It is similar to what humans like to call soulmates. But for hybrids, due to our genetic hypersensitivity, we feel more. As such, when mates are marked, we are able to feel our mates.â
âFeel what?â You had questioned.
Jimin shrugged. âEverything. Everything is heightened. We are hyper-aware of what our mates feel. Human counterparts don't get anything, of course.â He smirked. âBut hybrids feel a lot more.â
You tapped the counter. âWhat if you arenât marked?â
The question had thrown him off guard as he placed the box of pastries and tongs on the table and turned to you. âFor what reason⌠Are you asking for?â He eyed you suspiciously.Â
You shrugged. âJust curious.â
âI can sense that this is beyond curiosity but I shall leave it as that for now. Whatever youâre scheming, faster finish it. I donât want to be helping you aim for something that would hurt.â Jimin stated.Â
âI swear, please just answer that. Itâs the last question.â
Jimin sighed, giving in. âOnce the mate bond clicks into place, everything is already heightened. The hybrid-â
âHow do you know it clicks into place?â
Jimin gave you the stink eye. âI thought you said that was the last question!â
âIâm sorry!â You raised your hands in surrender.Â
âThe hybrid,â he emphasis on the word. âKnows. It is genetically impossible for the human counterpart to know. You do not possess what we possess.â He gave a look that shuts you up from asking any more questions. âAs I was saying earlier, it is possible even when the human counterpart is not marked nor mated. As long as there is a connection and the hybrid acknowledges that you are its mate, it will start to show off acts of mateship.â
âWhich isâŚ?â
âI shouldnât have come!â Jimin groaned. âWhich is extreme scenting, nesting, increased clinginess, and more. It depends from hybrid to hybrid. The list is non-exhaustable.â
âink under your skinâ chapter 2 | jungkook x reader

summary: Getting yourself a tattoo of your ex-fiance's name wasn't the best idea, but getting it removed by the most talented tattoo artist was the best decision ever. And it feels like a brand new start for your love life. warnings: strangers to lovers, push/pull relationship, tattooist!jungkook, brokenhearted! reader note: I hope you like kind and polite Jungkook in edgy disguise đ¤ trailer/masterlist | chapter 2 | next chapter

It felt like your body still needed another few hours of rest to recharge the batteries before starting off the day, maybe because of lack of sleep or maybe because you nodded off on your couch holding one of your random things from the boxes. You managed to organise half of them, but it wasnât enough for a celebration as you were still expecting another delivery in the near future which got delayed. You just made some space for another boxes filled with useless things, but at least you wouldnât be drowning in them when they bring them back to you.
You rubbed your cheek trying to wake yourself up a little, but in the end you had to do it by splashing some lukewarm water on your face. Loose clothes you had prepared during yesterday's evening were waiting for you on the top of the washing machine. It was a simple set - you choose oversized sweatpants and white sleeveless shirt to feel comfy while laying on the couch in the studio. The image of yourself getting another tattoo in a few hours made you feel relieved as you were completely ready for a brand new start, but also anxious knowing it's your final decision to cut out the men who didn't deserve your trust. It was a strange mix of emotions, you could tell.
When you were about to take off your pajamas pants, your eyes landed on your right hip.
Every time you looked at it, preferably not but it was quite visible thing on your body so it's not like you had other options, you just confirmed your conviction it should have never taken place primarily. You were just so in love with the guy that you couldn't stand your ground because of him, always running after his ass. The worst part in it was that it was your fault for letting him make you so depended and insecure. You should have known better, but it was easier said than done. Just another cliche you could say to yourself when you weren't able to find appropriate words.
Your fingers started to wander on the permanent letters on your skin drawing around some circles.
Yunho
This name had crept even in your night dreams not letting you sleep through the night calmly, but tossing and turning in your bed with bitter tears on your cheeks for the first few months. You had wondered during this hard time what had gone wrong in your past relationship trying to find the reason of its fallout, often blaming yourself. It was so harmful.
You scratched them with your short trimmed nails which made your skin turn red in that area.
But you were so glad it was all over now and removing it from your sight was just a cherry on top. A sign of your small victory over your inner battles and the only thing you could say now to yourself that you were proud. Proud of yourself to the extent that even disappointment of your family didn't stand a chance with damaging your happiness.
"Fuck you, Han" you murmured with one of the corner of your lips going up "You won't disturb my peace ever againâ.
Hyping yourself up in front of the mirror could be psychotic but you didnât care as long as it helped you smiling till you got back to your bed. It was all good now, you put your clothes on and squeezed your wallet and keys into your small bag. The moment you had everything you needed, you locked the doors and went to the city centre. The trip was even shorter than previous time as you didnât have to check where the studio was on the map in your phone. It was twenty minutes to twelve so you got a perfect timing.
âHi thereâ you saw an unfamiliar male face that welcomed you right before you stepped into the studio â(Y/F/N)? Jungkookâs client?â
âCorrectâ you nodded willingly knowing it was about time to start the appointment.
âYou're a little bit early. That's goodâ he offered you half of a smile while juggling between typing something in and trying to navigate you "Jungkook is already preparing. He's at the backs".
âRightâ you got yourself thinking why this time green-haired guy was in his place, but you guessed they just switched from time to time "Thank you".
It wasnât until you saw the actual station with all the tools that somehow looked to you scarier than you had imagined. Despite being aloof towards needles, it wasnât the worst part of it. Even more terrifying thing seemed to be disclosing the tattoo to a complete stranger, which put you in a position where you stood in front of the stand paralysed from sudden fear that you had thought would be not as perceptible as it was. Exposing yourself to a man. You couldnât help, but worry occupied your mind in a short second. The problem was definitely bigger than it seemed to be and, in fact, you didnât trust him, but you had to. Otherwise your dream coming true would be postponed another couple of months and you wished it to be over.
"Just don't ask questions, please" you mumbled under your breath trying to calm yourself down by exhaling the air âNo biggieâ.
Thank goodness, it was just a hip. Not the middle of your butt or something. Despite it being a consoling thing, it failed to boost your confidence.
âYou cameâ the sound of swivel chair running on the panels woke you up from thoughts âHalf of a success, huh?â
Jungkook gave you encouraging smile seeing you standing in one place perplexed and apparently lost in your head. He knew well that face expression. A lot of clients had one when they werenât sure if coming to the studio was a big mistake or the best idea they could have come up with. Uncertainty and anxiety, he could let somebody cut his hand off if he was wrong. But he wasnât wrong, you were uncertain and anxious. Just the reason behind it was completely different than what he thought.
âDoesnât even feel like one fourthâ you were completely honest with your statement.
âThey say that showing up is the first step to achieving the goalâ he carried on while standing from his chair âI donât see any reason for you to feel that way since you are here, right?â was he always so positive?
âFirst step, not half of the journeyâ you pursed your lips standing your ground like a kid, watching him taking out his pad and papers from his bag.
âWhy so negative?â Jungkook seemed to be indifferent to your attitude âSome people change their mind while heading to the studioâ.
âI knowâ your lips were still formed in a thin line realizing you might have been too harsh ands stiff with your ways âItâs just a little bit⌠overwhelmingâ and he just tried to de-stress you in some way.
Jungkook stopped what he was doing and stuck his eyes at you. Tattooing was his method of unwinding besides of going out with his friends for a drink and the most effective one. So it could be guessed that he liked his work because it didn't feel as a job he had to do, but a thing he wanted to. However, seeing who he was supposed to give a tattoo right now kind of made him nervous.
He was right you were attractive which kind of make him nervous too and he didnât want it to be too visible as he was at work and Mina was surely watching him from the corner of her eye.
âEasy. Iâm not going to sting you with needles straight off. Not until you choose your tattoo at leastâ he pointed at his desk with his head âCome on, I prepared some projects for youâ.
The amount of time he spent on preparing such a small tattoo could be staggering, but when he came home yesterday his mind went blank as if every idea he had on his way back just vaporised. Still, he was adamant to come up with anything good enough to present it to his new client. He just hoped nobody could see his dark circles under his eyes and slow moves which he tried to minimalize by drinking coffee in the morning. Mina didnât gave him much details so he was really frustrated until he checked the texts which helped him to grasp the idea of what could possibly fit you. He knew right away you desired something feminine and delicate which was quite a challenge since he had completely different style from Minaâs and just wasnât really an expert in girly, aesthetic tattoos that were in vogue this year.
âI heard you want to cover your old tattooâ he tried to make a conversation with you going.
âExactlyâ.
Which wasnât an easy task right now as you just nodded without oversharing so he just showed you his work, waiting in anticipation for your reaction. And you gave it right away with your eyes immediately sparkling at the view of beautiful feminine touches.
âOh, they are⌠they are just amazingâ you look at them in awe carefully observing every detail âI need to choose one, right?â
âWe could combine them together in some way if you want or change them completelyâ he offered "It's up to you" you smiled at him thankfully.
âNo, they look totally perfect apartâ you just couldnât decide which one.
âOh, youâve started the appointment. Just checking out on youâ Minaâs head stuck out from the curtain that separated the stands â(Y/N)? I see you agreed to switchâ she faked being surprised at your presence which made Jungkook roll his eyes.
He knew that you would be here, he told her before and she was just playing stupid and innocent, which got him thinking why she even cared. Mina hadn't behaved like that ever. He leaned on the desk with his arms folded on his chest.
âI had toâ you laughed lightly âAnd I donât regret it, yetâ.
Mina gave you a cheeky grin and then her gaze headed towards Jungkook who was truly annoyed by her interrupting, which she was aware of but she didn't care that much about that.
âNo surprise thereâ she smirked at him âOur new gemâ Mina kicked his shoulder playfully, but he didn't even react at her childish behavior.
âI can see whyâ you nodded with his work still in your hands âIâm not an expert, but he's pretty talentedâ.
Jungkook tried to hide his smile while hearing this. He worked hard for the position he had right now. Trying to find a place he would feel good wasn't easy, but then he came across Ink It Studio and they were in the middle of searching for a new worker. Both of them Mina and Yoongi were satisfied with his portfolio which was quite outstanding among other candidates, but hearing it from you was quite different. And it felt weird as it never made any difference before.
âThatâs why we hired him. We would never take a random guy, right?â Mina shrugged her shoulders carelessly âOkay, so⌠I better get going, I have a client in fifteen minutesâ.
âYeah, you betterâ Jungkook sighed and closed the curtain before she managed to move away from his sight âSorry, she can be noisy, sometimesâ.
âNo, I mean, sheâs coolâ his apologies were unnecessary âI bet sheâs the funny one hereâ.
âMore like annoying one, but yes. She can be funny from time to time" he smiled at you trying to look less irritated "Have you chosen already?â he waited for your response.
âYeahâ you replied and gave him back the papers showing him one of his projects "That's the one".
âGoodâ he said taking them from you âYou can lay on the couch, weâll start in a few minutesâ he turned around to prepare himself near to the stand.
"Could you please pull down your sweatpants a little bit lower?" he asked you after you had laid down as he told you already wearing the gloves, while you poked the inner part of your cheek being hesitant.
He turned away sensing you needed some privacy and free space which kind of made your heartâs weight lighter than before. You did what he asked pulling the material uncovering your butcheek and the hip area since the tattoo reached in a strange way to the back.
The silence was loud, almost booming in your ears, which nearly made you cringe and want to dig yourself a grave. At least you didn't hear anybody sneering or making any remarks which made it more bearable to lay there exposed. Still, you were glad you didn't have to look into his eyes due to being on your stomach with your head. turned towards the floor.
"Will you manage to cover it all?" you gulped down trying to relax yourself by starting a chit-chat.
Jungkook sat down on the steel brining himself closer to you thinking about your question. He must have admitted he was expecting something different than a male's name on your butt, but he was able to keep his face neutral in case you watched him. The last thing he wanted to achieve was to make you feel uncomfortable on his watch. He had seen worse ideas people came up with, but this was quite personal. Maybe that's why he was taken aback. Additionally, it got him thinking. Were you free? It seemed like it, but he didn't want to jump into conclusions.
"Of course" he broke the silence with his usual tone of voice "It fits perfectly, no alterations needed".
"Uh-, that's good then" apparently you were ashamed of what he had seen. It wasn't difficult to sense it as your body tensed while he try to copy the tattoo on the place on your skin where the old one was located.
"Sorry, I should have warned you" he reprimanded himself in his head after that.
"That's okay, just keep going".
âDo you want to look at it one last time?â he asked not being sure if he was being disrespectful towards you, but somehow he felt he should ask this question before covering it for good. Not every day a woman came to his studio wanting to remove the tattoo that depicted a name of some guy.
Moreover, it was another permanent decision so putting a question twice wouldn't do any harm, actually he did that with every client just to make sure everything is clear, but with you it seemed like asking even five times would be appropriate. After having seen what you had tattooed on your he didn't feel comfortable himself. Therefore, he could only imagine how nervous you might feel in this situation, plus he had to remain professional.
"No" you said softly closing your eyes and laying your head on your arms "Just make it disappear" you chuckled bitterly.
The idea of watching it for another seconds or minutes was a complete waste of your precious time. You had stared at it too many times before, you knew all the lines, all the letters and you knew the name. There was no need to endure it any longer.
"And be delicate, please" you made your wish hoping the pain wouldn't be too severe.
"I've already told you I am. I promised you that" he laughed quietly taking tattoo machine in his hand "We can take a break in the meantime if it will be too much for you, deal?"
"Deal" your shyness came of out you as your behavior felt childish due to his soft talk, you shouldn't have panicked like that, but it wasn't like you could help it "Thanks".
"I'm starting then" he warned you and brought machine closer to your skin "Just let me know if anything happens, okay?" you gave him a small nod to confirm you understood.
"Mhm" your hands formed in a fist waiting for first signs of pain.
It was startling how Jungkook turned two opposite traits at the same time into one which came out quite magnetic. His nonchalant behavior and politeness happened to be appealing in your opinion even if these two didn't match or at least people didn't compare it together. Yet, it hadn't changed your viewpoint - no dating till you figure yourself out. You needed it much more than filling empty place in your heart by finding another man. You had become more cautious even to the point of being suspicious. Simply, you didn't trust them. You didn't trust men. It was something you picked on during the road of your love life which you hadnât had the time to get rid of.
"You need to relax. Your muscles are tensed" he made an apt remark "It may intensify the pain".
You didn't respond verbally, but you tried to take some deep breathes to calm yourself down.
"Can I ask you something, (Y/N)?" your head turned automatically hearing your name.
"Yes?"
"Did you think about removing it with a laser?"
You almost smiled to yourself being asked this question. You couldn't even count how many times your decision had been changed before making a final choice to only conceal Yunho's tracks in your life. As much as you hated the idea of him being one of many pieces of the jigsaw called '(Y/N)'s existence', he was undeniable part of it. In the past, but still was. It would be difficult to say you don't know this person and you didn't know how his name and your body happened to be connected in one. This tattoo showed you were capable of giving love. A living proof of being deeply in love. Yet, you weren't greedy. You didn't expect to only receive it all back, but when you couldn't take the bare minimum from your fiancĂŠ of two years, you just knew something was not right. It couldn't be right.
âI did" you felt how he put some pressure while wiping your skin out from the amount of ink "but I realized it's a part of me, after all... It was for a long time so I just couldn't simply erase it, you know".
"Sorry if it was too personal" he stopped running the machine for a moment "You don't have to answer me, I'm just curious and... maybe I should have just quitted it".
"That's fine, I like it" you said it hesitantly.
"You like being asked personal questions?"
"No" you winced at unpleasant feeling of needle being pushed into your skin, you had taken a deep breath before opening your mouth again "Your curiosity, I think it's quite refreshing".
"Is it?"
"Yea-, I mean" you stuttered trying to string some words together to make your babble more understandable "People tend to talk about themselves whenever they have a chance... It feels like you care. Maybe you don't, I can't know it for sure, but you're giving this kind of a vibe" you stopped yourself being aware it might have sounded too friendly or casual "From a client's view, of course" you added.
"First time hearing that, to be honest" Jungkook chuckled stretching your skin more in order to draw some thin lines "That may hurt a little" you tried to relax after his warning as he recommended you earlier "I think you've just made my shift better" your heart almost did a flip in your chest.
"Glad to know it" you hided your head in your arms while laying stiffly "You're saving my ass, literally" you murmured against your clothes material so the sentence came out slightly muted.
"You're welcome" the corner of his lips going up betrayed him as he tried to remain serious about the remark you had made "Again, sorry for that question" but you couldn't notice it anyway because of your eyes glued to the floor.
"That's fine. It's not like nobody knows about it" you tried to decrease his anxiety for making you feel uneasy "I just don't want to look at it anymore, but at the same time I don't want to make it gone".
"You had to compromise with yourself then" Jungkook paraphrased you letting you know he was listening even if he was preoccupied with tattooing.
"Exactly, a golden mean" you pursed your lips quite embarrassed about what you would say in a second "And I wanted something pretty".
"Everyone does, right?" he chuckled at your response.
"Yeah" you hesitantly turned your head to the back seeing Jungkook holding the skin on your hip to put the ink more precisely "How is it going?"
His hair were slightly getting in his sight with some strings stuck to his forehead. He took his time before answering you as he wanted to finish the line he had started which belonged to the petal.
"Smoothly" he send you a cheeky smile as he caught you starring "Half way done and you've flinched only once".
"Cause it isn't as bad as I thought" you admitted with inquisitive expression "Can I see it?""
"Sure" he put away the machine for a moment so you could have a full view of your hip and his work in progress.
"That's exactly what I wanted" your cheeks became full and pained a little from smiling "Maybe if we could take care of it... faster?" you said excited at the image of beautiful Orchidea's petals covering your body.
"Let's not take a break then" Jungkook woke you up from admiring his work.
"Why?" your voice was kind of suspiciously trying to make him change the idea.
"Because you're handling it well" he put a new disposable gloves for safety issue and waited for you to lay in the same position as before "Plus, the faster the better for you as you already said. Am I right?" you analyzed his words.
"You have a point" you gave him a nod "Let's do that".
And the pain was somehow bearable when he was the one who was causing it.

"Done" Jungkook stopped the machine running and put it away while you lifted up a little to take a look at your hip. "Good job, by the way. You haven't fainted" he teased you with a small smirk formed on his lips, but he didn't look at you since he kept being busy with reorganizing the stand after having finished his job.
"Did I look like I was going to faint? you watched him searching for something in the drawers in chaotic manner and murmuring something under his nose.
"You looked a little bit pale, yeah" his attention was drawn to you again as he chuckled at the picture of your face showing in his head.
"Am I that funny to you?" you leaned on your arm as you pulled yourself up from the couch seeing he came back this time with transparent foil in his hands "I must have looked like a terrified kid" you laughed at yourself with distance.
"More like a damsel in distress" he corrected you taking a sit so he could have a better lower position to place a folic material around your tattoo.
"Uh-, no" you said it with 'duh' tone of your voice "No way".
"Just saying what I saw" he shrugged his shoulders.
"Are you sure you don't need glasses?" you scoffed in a friendly manner as you were in this game too.
"Looking at your tattoo which came out perfect... No, I donât think I need them" Jungkook replied confidently pin-ponging "Stay like that. We need to wrap it up" you froze in your place letting him do his work on your reddish skin. You tensed again this time because of warm touch of his fingertips which ran smoothly through the foil. How did you manage to hold still for two hours with your anxiety being on a high level? You didn't know.
"Hey, Jungkook!" you made out the guy from earlier shouting "Come here, you have a client".
"I haven't finished yet. Told them to wait" he didn't even turn his head while he was too focused on wrapping the area with transparent foil "I'll be in a minute" he added when all he got was a silent treatment without a respond.
You observed floral art that covered the name of your ex-fiance. The sensation was almost freeing you, taking away the burdens of your world. Was healing from the past issues that easy? Was it about just covering them up and leaving them underneath? You weren't sure, but it felt like it was enough right now.
"I'll get a special cream for your tattoo" he said after getting rid of gloves and throwing them into trash bin "Follow me to the reception when you are ready, please" he closed the curtain after him allowing you to take the time to fix your sweatpants.
"Sure" you began to pull up the material trying to avoid the contact with your tattoo. Soon after you took your bag, you made your way to the reception with intention to pay for his amazing work.
"How much do I owe you?" you searched in your bag for your wallet when you heard a sweet voice that stopped you both from having further conversation.
"Sorry, could I cut in?"
You automatically took a step back to get out of the way when a beautiful blonde girl got closer to the reception desk where you and Jungkook were about to close financial matters.
"Mhm, yeah" you had spoken out before Jungkook could have a word.
"You don't have to..." he snapped his eyebrows together rather confused how people had the nerve to break in in such untactful way. Moreover, it would last only few minutes till you calmly pay for the service.
"Thanks" she had given you a bright smile before she stood in front of you showing you her back "I was waiting to make an appointment with you for so long. I was told you weren't free, unfortunately. Could you please check if you have some time? For me?"
"Uh-, are you sure you can wait?" he put a question towards you ignoring the girl, you gave him a nod as you weren't in hurry and you knew better not to quarrel with people about some insignificant matters "Hi, I'm not free. They were right, but I can find some time in two months" Jungkook hesitantly started conversation.
"Doesn't matter, it just have to be you" she was adamant "I found your work on the website, it's amazing".
"I get it" he smiled awkwardly and pursed his lips writing in his digital calendar "November, sixteenth?"
"Perfect".
"And where it would be?"
"Between my boobs".
Jungkook quickly raised his head with perplexed expression on his face which didn't slip by. He hummed under his nose and took a glance to check your reaction - how much he would want you to lose you hearing for a moment. Your eyebrows were lifted up together with surprise at her straightforward reply, but so were Jungkook trying not to grimace in his client presence.
Not good, not good, he pursed his lips averting his eyes towards the blonde, perfect timing as always.
"So on the upper body, right?" he repeated after her trying to lead the conversation in more professional way.
"Yes, that's what I meant" she shrugged his shoulders and leaned towards him and playfully checked what he was writing on the screen "Kim SooMi".
"Sure" he typed her name without remarking her off-putting behavior "Send me your ideas through this e-mail" he gave her a business card.
"I will, thanks".
âSince you became a part of our team we have more and more appointment for tattoos on ass or boobsâ Yoongi sneered loudly with his eyes glued to the screen as he checked the list with clients from previous month "How you fucking do that?" he watched pretty blonde leaving the studio through large windows.
"Are you serious right now? We have a client still right here" Jungkook hissed towards him with a low tone of voice so you couldn't hear them bickering "You and Mina are giving me hard time today, let me fucking breathe".
"Chill, Jungkook" he winked at him with a short laugh "Or you will scare her off".
"Thanks for your precious advice" Jungkook squinted his eyes at him and knelled down to open the cabinet "Next rounds at Sogo's will be on you. Thank yourself for the stupid shit you said today".
"You wish" Yoongi spat immediately at the thought of paying for their favorite expensive drinks "I had worser month, math isn't mathing on my bank account".
"As we all did" he reached for a small bootle.
"No, not all" Yoongi disapprove with Jungkook's statement "You had additional ten female clients so rounds on you this time"
"Because I'm working overtime. And what's the difference? Male or female clients?"
"And it was your choice" he raised his hands up in defense and then he went to the explanation "Female are more eager to get tattooed by your golden hand" Jungkook shook his head dubiously.
"This is rubbish..." he was about to add something, but noticed you took your card out from your bag.
"How much then?" your voice sounded more stiff and guarded which baffled him out a little bit.
Jungkook sucked on his lips feeling metallic tase of his silver ring looking in your direction. It was a bad habit that allowed everyone to figure him out - he was pondering something. Heavily.
"I'm sorry you had to wait" he apologized but you just gave him a forced smile that made him slightly loose his confidence, nevertheless he took a risk "I was wondering... How about a date?"
"As a... payment?" you weren't sure whether you understood him correctly feeling ashamed of the words coming out of your mouth. You were timid as you thought you could get the wrong idea of what he wanted to say.
"Mhm" he nodded once slowly "I'm just finishing my shift in fifteen minutes so I thought..." he observed your face trying to hunt for any reaction that could possibly save him from embarrassing himself in a right moment "Would you like to grasp some coffee with me? I mean you can't have coffee yet, but I will gladly order anything else you want. Something sweet, maybe" he tried to ignore a strange feeling forming in his stomach "Everything is on me".
You stopped breathing for few second trying to find some tracks of a bad joke or just wait for his laugh indicated he was just kidding so you could rush and pay, but it didn't come. Worse, it just made your mind go blank not knowing what to answer. Your brain stopped working for a moment, but your unconsciousness didn't, helping you handle the situation safely. Guarding you from every possible side.
"Uh-, well..." you were beyond stroked by his proposition "It's so nice of you, Jungkook. I mean it, but..." you took a deep breath again 'I think I'm gonna pass this time".
âRightâ he gave you a week smile which made you feel guilty straight off.
âUh-, maybe another time?â you managed to utter almost trying to put a plaster that was supposed to fix this sticky situation "I'm sorry".
âYea-, another timeâ he replied a little less enthusiastically which made you slap yourself in your head.
âSo⌠How much?â you had asked wanting to escape from awkwardness before he gave you a bill, confirmation and leaflet that covered the matter of tattoo's aftercare.
"We have to observe how it heals" he had mentioned before handing you a bottle with black label "You can come back in a few days to check it out. I'm sure either Mina or Yoongi will be here. You may also send me some photos of your tattoo if you won't have time" he carried on and passed you a card "Here is my business number and my e-mail address".
You wanted to ask why not him and what was the reason he omitted his name, but you stopped yourself from doing that as you shouldn't have been interested in such information. Maybe he would not be physically at work, maybe they changed the schedule. Who cared anyway?
"And this cream?" you asked Jungkook right before heading to the front door ready to leave. You were completely certain it should have been on the bill since it had their brand on it so they must have been selling them, but you couldn't find anything but charge for the service itself.
"Free".
"Actually, it's not..." Yoongi tried to intrude when he heard your question, but his workmate didn't let him finish the sentence as he kicked him under the table which resulted in Yoongi loudly hissing through his teeth from pain.
"It's free" Jungkook corrected again not even taking a glance towards his partner who was cursing him out under his nose.
"Are you sure?" you weren't convinced.
"Don't worry about it, really".
"Yeah, don't worry" Yoongi repeated after Jungkook and started to massage his feet with a grumpy face.

OMGAJDSKKZMDAKX A LATE NIGHT SNACK?!?!?? Yesss plaseeee ninny
Aight aight but just a small unstable snack..

The moment you slip under the covers isn't as awkward as you thought it might be.
Sure, it's new- you're now sleeping together in a proper bed, but it's not as new as you thought it would feel. It's warm under the covers from his body already having been laying underneath for a bit, your naked legs finding his equally bare one's causing him to flinch a little.
"How are your feet this cold?" He grumbles, and you giggle, turning over to face him in the dark of the room. Only his eyes are faintly glowing, occasionally reflecting some light from the door like a cat.
"Its, I don't know?" You shrug. "A human thing. I think we females have cold feet and hands because you know, our body focuses most on reproductive organs? I think I read that somewhere at least." You rant, before yawning.
"Well, I care about more than that." He hums, legs pulling yours closer. "I'll warm you up." He says, and you nod, leaning a little closer to cuddle up to him.
Only when you look up again at him do you notice the faint glow of his irises showing that very distinctive shade of pink again.
"I'm not letting myself be interrupted again." He growls faintly under his breath, before he leans in to place a kiss to your lips, so sudden you get no time to prepare. And you don't need any anyways- because he seems to know exactly what to do, as he slowly moves to crawl over you, getting lost in that specific way of offering affection.
He's dizzy. He wants to keep kissing you.
You don't even realize how heated it becomes until his tongue seeks you out, one of his hands carefully roaming your body. You're so warm now, as his palm runs over your bare skin, before it sneaks beneath your baggy shirt, finding no underwear beneath to shield you from his touch.
And you don't want to be, either.
"Can I.. see you?" He wonders, and you nod, because what's there to lose? You like him. You'd even go as far as to say you love him.
"..but it's dark?" You wonder, as he slips your shirt over your head, eyes roaming you with a now very noticeable glow.
"You forget we're not the same." He chuckles. "I can see you just fine." He informs you, hands running over your exposed skin before he gropes at your chest, soft and warm in his palms. "You're so... delicate." He mumbles, hands moving to hold your hips. "Fragile."
"But you'll keep me safe?" You tell him, and at that his gaze snaps up at you, soft and warm, as he leans down to rest his forehead against yours.
"Of course." He answers. "Forever."
So What? - Teaser 1

Teaser 1:
"Hello." He started, hoping that you won't shut down his attempt to make things⌠Less awkward.Â
"Yes⌠Ah, hello Yoongi." You led the way into your house. "I hope your room is okay for you. I don't know what colours you like but I hope that the green doesn't throw you off."Â
The both of you entered a room that he was at least seventy percent sure was originally the guest room. The newly painted monochromatic walls, the fresh sheets of linen, the new and old furniture. But most of all, the black cat stuffy caught his eye the moment they walked in. It was placed on the left end of the bed, in a laying position.Â
Yoongi looked around in wonder. âAre - Am I - Can I really stay here?â He turned to look at you. âYou want me?â
You nodded at him with a soft smile gracing your lips. âOf course, I want you, kitty. What do you even mean?â You went over to the curtains, seemingly distracting yourself. âI told you that whatever the circumstances, youâll always be mine as I am yours.âÂ
You stuck out your hand for him. âSo what do you say, Yoongi? Would you like to continue to live with me?â
Yoongi nodded frantically, shoving his head into your hands. Your laugh is the most melodic thing he heard in his life.Â
âThen may I,â Yoongi walked over to the bedside. âTake this too?â
You nodded at him. âOf course, everything here is yours. Theyâre all yours.â
He walked over and picked up the stuffy by its paw and brought it to his nose, scenting it like he would with any of his belongings. He was happy, really, really happy and he hoped that this time, the happiness would last.Â
Since you had found out that Yoongi was a hybrid, you had changed many rules around the house - for one, no more kibbles, only proper human-sized meals from now on; two, no more sleeping on the same bed. The second one had caused a bit of spark in his eyes, lips protruding out into a pout.Â
âBut - but why? I promise I wonât take up so much of the bed.âÂ
You shook your head, standing firm. Although you would admit that the bed now felt empty since missing a fluffy bed buddy, Yoongi needed to understand the boundaries. âYoongi, no. You are a hybrid, not a cat. I canât just let you sleep in my bed, come into the room whenever you want anymore. There are boundaries.â
âBut we never had such issues last time!â
You sighed. âThat was because I didnât know that you were a hybrid.â
And oh god, you didnât want to know how many times and exactly what he has seen and heard by just being in your room. His presence is now an awkward one, all the thought so so many possibilities.Â
His pout stayed permanent on his lips as he trudged back to his room, realising that you werenât going to budge with the rules.Â
You sighed, turned your back to the door and closed it. You had work tomorrow and whether or not you wanted to stay up arguing about this topic, you still needed sleep. You trudged over to your bed and flopped face-first, groaning at the cold that encased you. Sleep lingered at the edge of your consciousness when you felt a small dip on the bed, eyes too heavy to open and brain too murky to fully register that there was someone else on your bed.

âOkay, itâs the zombie apocalypse,â You started for the third time that afternoon, shifting to face him where he sat next to you on the bench. âAll we have to eat are mint chocolate protein bars.â
âThat sounds absolutely disgusting.â He said, scrunching his face up at you.
âItâs all we have left!â You retorted. âWould you eat them or not?â
âNope.â He responded immediately, sipping his coffee.
âSeriously?! You would rather starve?!â You asked in disbelief.
âI would leave them for you, so you could survive.â He said, shrugging.
âThatâs sweet, but also very stupid.â You commented.
âWell, I guess thatâs just me.â He said, smirking at you.
âUgh,â You cringed, making him chuckle. âWhy do I even bother with you?â
âBecause I buy you coffee?â
âMmm, not sure if thatâs good enough.â You replied dryly, reaching over in an attempt to flick the brim of his ballcap, but he leaned out of your reach, making you nearly wobble off balance before shifting back to your original position.
It felt nice to hang out with him like this again, ending the day just sitting together in the park as the first leaves of autumn skittered by on the breeze. Things had been slightly off between you the past couple weeks, following a slightly drunken evening out together with some other friends had resulted in you both sharing more than you maybe should have.
âSo, I have a question.â He drawled, leaning slightly closer than was necessary for you to hear him. âWhat would you do, hypothetically, if I told you somebody was into you?â
âIt depends,â You replied, giggling slightly at his focused gaze. âIs it you?â
âMaybe.â He said, raising a brow as he stared at you, feeling yourself suddenly sober up a bit as you realized he was being serious.
âThen I would say, hypothetically, that I like you too.â You answered, pulse picking up as you noticed his eyes flicker down to your lips, leaning in a little more.
The sound of a glass being dropped somewhere else across the room had shook you both out of your trance, reminding you that you weren't alone, scooting away quickly before anyone else noticed what had happened, or almost happenedâŚ
Neither of you had directly spoken about your conversation from that night, but there had definitely been a noticeable shift in your dynamic.
When you were out together, he would briefly catch hold of your hand as you wove through the crowded streets to keep you close. You always claimed the seat beside him, which had earned you a few curious glances from a couple of your other friends.
You werenât exactly dating, but you definitely werenât âjust friendsâ anymore. Due to the nature of your limbo state, however, there was also a slight sense of uneasiness, not quite knowing where the line lay between what was okay and what wasnât anymore.
It had grown quiet as youâd gotten lost in your thoughts, contemplating whether or not to just bite the bullet and ask the dreaded âWhat is this?/What are we?â question, but before you could decide, you felt a sudden droplet of water hit your hand, quickly followed by another on your cheek as you glanced up at the darkening sky.
âAw, shit.â You grumbled, fumbling to pull your jacket hood over your head as it began to rain properly. âI thought it wasnât supposed to start till later.â
âI told you.â He said, grinning as he sat back, not bothered in the least by the sudden weather change.
âYou know, youâre one of the only people I know that actually likes getting caught in the rain.â You commented, watching him in amusement.
âRainâs nice.â He said tilting his head back to let it fall on his face.
When he sat back up, something seemed to shift between you again as you made eye contact, feeling that familiar tense flutter in your stomach as his gaze flickered down to your lips.
Seized by a sudden surge of confidence, you leaned forward again, not breaking eye contact as you caught his shirt collar before pulling him down gently, connecting your lips.
For a split second, everything else seemed to fade out, the only thing you were aware of was the feel of Namjoonâs lips moving softly against yours.
Too soon, you pulled back, no more than an inch, feeling you and Joonsâ breaths slip out in shaky exhales as his eyes slowly fluttered open to look at you.
âDo that again.â He whispered, hands coming up to hold your waist firmly, pulling you closer to him. âPlease.â
At his plea, you immediately leaned in again. This time, the kiss was much more intense, teeth clashing and tongues moving against each other as your hands fumbled to find purchase on his shoulders, only breaking apart when your lungs started to burn from lack of oxygen.
âFuck,â Namjoon sighed, leaning his forehead against your shoulder as he tried to catcht his breath. âIâve wanted to do that for weeks.â
âWhy didnât you?â You asked.
âNo idea.â He chuckled, pressing closer to you as a sudden breeze made you both shiver.
âItâs raining a lot.â You noted, taking in your dampening surroundings.
âMhm.â
âWe should probably head home.â
He groaned, pulling back reluctantly. âI donât wanna let you go yet.â He said, pouting slightly.
âWho said you had to?â You asked.
He tilted his head at you questioningly.
âI said we should head home, I didnât say it had to be alone.â You said, winding your hand into his.
âOh, Okay.â He grinned.
