Hi Ana,

This, like all of your other works, was nothing but stunning. I feel like you write with a certain purpose. Your writing is concise, words made to hit at a specific moment in time and no a moment too soon or too late. Every scene is written so thoroughly and vividly, it feels as if for a second, I’m not aware of the things in my bedroom, but rather the world you built in its entirety as it lays behind my eyelids. 

The part at the beginning about religion and God was very well done. There’s something about that section where it feels as if there's some type of darkness in the light, and I don’t think that it’s coming from Yoongi. As a matter of fact, I think that he was one of the purest souls in the chapel. He’s so self-aware of not only himself but the people involved in his life, and I think that is a component of purity. I’m still trying to understand what all of this means to create something cohesive, but that’s the feeling and thoughts that I gathered while reading that part. 

Another part that I really enjoyed reading was the first meet up with Yoongi and the main character. It felt...raw. Intense, but also calm? It was a conversation in the waiting, but the way you built up to this moment throughout the chapters was so astonishing and fluid. The small hints of their personalities woven in, from this by the main character:

“Look, Doc,“ he starts, sighing deeply. “What I do -- it’s not that simple to explain.”

“Turns out, I’m very smart,” you fire back. “Try me.”

To something so deep and thought-proking by Yoongi:

He turns back to face the full heat of your frustration head-on. “Do you think good people sometimes make decisions they’re not proud of?”

It was just a moment that I felt so comfortable reading, even though there was this fog of tension lingering in the background. Also, I enjoyed reading that how, through all of this, you could still feel, still know with absolute positivity that Yoongi cares for her. Know that the intense “weightless feeling” in his stomach was something more than that. And all of those emotions were emphasized and heighed up to the moment where he was urging, yearning for her to just stay and listen: 

“Doc, just — just wait a minute.” The words come out in a rush, clumsy off Yoongi’s thick tongue. “Please. Just give me one more minute.”

I could feel my breath catch here. The desperation, the landing of each of every word, and its impact were written so well and so beautifully. And it felt as if you were in the moment there too, listening to him say:

“Say something, Doc,” he murmurs. “Anything. Tell me I’m right. Tell me to fuck off. Just tell me what you’re thinking.”

It’s just...I really loved that scene a lot. 

Oh, and oh my goodness, the coffee shop scene. The feeling that I got when you mentioned how Yoongi dropped what he was doing to go visit her with no hesitation made my heart melt and cheeks warm. That scene was so raw, so intimate. And the kiss that followed after made me gasp a little. It was something that felt perfect for them and I wouldn’t be able to imagine it any other way. Though my heart did crack just a tad when she said that she was scared to like him.

The cliffhanger at the end??!?! I always knew that there was something fishy going on with Mr. Lee. I didn’t know what, but I always knew that something wasn’t right when he kept going off to these strange places. There are so many theories in my mind now, and I can’t wait to finally know who Mr. Lee is (if that even is his real name. He could be part of the underground stuff for all we know). I’m also wondering what the one thing Yoongi truly possesses is, as you said.

I actually decided to read this today because of everything that's going on within the U.S. and I just needed a moment where I didn’t have to worry or think about anything else, so thank you for providing me this comfort. Sunday morning – come hell or high water – Yoongi’s butt had to be parked in a pew.  

Church was absolutely non-negotiable for the boys of Shing Ma.

Yoongi would tug at the collars of his ill-fitting hand-me-down shirts and sit through hours of preaching in his too-tight shoes.  He would stare up at the carved wooden figure of Jesus mounted just behind the altar and Jesus would stare right back.

I see what you’ve been up to, Min Yoongi, his face seemed to say. You’re not fooling me.

Jesus always won the staring contest.

So Yoongi would spend his entire week fucking around in the streets of Daegu – skipping class and sneaking cigarettes – but on Sunday, he’d have to sweat through a sermon, trying his hardest to avoid the knowing eyes of the Lord.

He looks like original sin, a deadly mix of relaxation and that sharp gaze, devouring every single detail of the scene before him. And yet, despite the mask of control, you watch as each beautiful sound out of Jungkook’s mouth shoots straight through him. 

I know that I keep saying this, and you probably already know what I’m going to say, but I’m still going to say it: You and the way you do intros and lead-ins into each and every one of your chapters is phenomenal. It felt like the beginning of a movie was being played out and I could envision everything so vividly. So dowsed in intensity and heated moments. How are you able to make something so erotic and lewd so artistic and poetic. It felt like there were stars beneath my eyelids as I imagined it, everything so dreamy and enticing. But yet, the things that they were saying, the things that they were doing, were so carnal and sensual. 

It was beautiful.

And, this is small but, yay for aftercare and peeing after sex! I don’t know why, but just reading that part made me happy as I was reading it. 

One thing I love within each part so far is that embedded along with the smut are really cute and wholesome moments. That even though characters have begun to establish sexual relationships with each other, there are just scenes where it’s just them being them and expressing the love that they’ve shown pre-cabin escapades. Another things that I’ve noticed along with that is the constrast in relationships between the main character, Jimin and Jungkook, and the one that the main character has formed with Hoseok. It feels deeper when it comes to Hoseok, more “grounding”  and soulful like you said. It makes me wonder if they’ve been harboring feelings for each other for a while…

Hi Nana,

This is the first work of yours that I read, but it’s so good. I can honestly say that you had me hooked from the beginning and now that I’m done reading this extravagant story, I will be a forever fan and praiser of you and your talents. The way you were able to build this story, create characters that had such dimensional personalities and emotions, and read about how they all conveyed that their actions in different settings was so picturesque. It felt like I was watching an entire movie play out flawlessly in my head.

I love how you put your own personality within this story too. The song references, this part:

"Ugh! I just want you to teach me the basics. That's all, Jungkook. Why are you making this so hard?."

"Because there's a lot of boys on campus you can choose from! Why don't you just pick any of them, like everyone else does!?" you pull your hands back from Jungkook's and grip your cup of coffe instead, finding the belt of your bag much more interesting than his eyes and much less intimidating.

"Because... they're... you know..." there's silence before you speak again Jungkook raises eyebrows, waiting for you to ellaborate. "...men."

When I tell you I SNORTED! I felt that a bit too deeply and in my mind, I was just like “Yep!” But I love how you made this Jungkook. Even though he’s created his own identity amongst the population, the way he treats the main character is so wholesome and you can tell that he genuinely cares about her. The emotions that you pulled out of me during the makeout scene at the party were hot and intense and soft in how he treated her and wanted to do it (or do her hehe) right. The slow ascent into falling in love. The conflicting emotions of “do I keep this FWB relationship or aim for something more”, “do I keep trying to make a relationship with someone I’m questioning or go with my gut” was all so beautifully done and well crafted. 

Even more so were the deeper moments. The moments of sincerity. When she speaks about how she feels "broken" and "pathetic" for still being a virgin. For focusing on school rather than learning how to become more sexually cognizant. I can kinda relate to that. For me, I know that at times I can seem like a prude and I know that I’m picky whenever it comes to trusting people on the lines of relationships which makes it difficult to put myself out there, but I also glare down any male figure that looks in my direction so...😗

Anywho, I actually really enjoyed this. More than I thought I would, and I finished it faster than I wanted to. This story gave me things to think about and ponder over while also just being such a good read and something that I’ll always think about. Thank you so much Nana for this. This really made my night. I’m sending you lots and lots of love.💕

The dialogue, the witty texts, the smut scene that was just...WOW. And the ending?!?!?!? I would have felt so embarrassed omg!!! As you sigh and settle into his embrace, you realize he feels like a new man. 

There is a quiet kind of confidence to him that you hadn’t noticed before. An ability to sit still and silently and find comfort in that. 

God, it’s sexy. 

I shouldn’t be reading this...No, I most definitely shouldn’t be reading this right now, but I peeped into the discord chat and saw the header for chapter 3, and that’s what sparked this. YOU are what sparked this, Willow.

First of all, you are a menace in the most favorable ways. The way you are able to just hook our attention from the beginning and keep the momentum, building it throughout, and even when the story is finished (not just for this one, but for all of them), you make people yearn for more. You and your writing are like a siren because you will most definitely be the end of me by the time I get finished reading this series.

Also, may I say that the depiction of the cabin seems so damn nice. 

The room is surrounded on two sides by entirely glass walls. The light that spills from the lamps that have already been lit makes it so beyond the walls, everything looks pitch black. Lush, fluffy carpets are scattered around the room, and in the corner is a small personal library, a little couch, and an armchair. And in the very center of the room is what you can only imagine to be an indoor fire pit. 

Like screw them, both literally and figuratively, but I wanna live there!!!! What the hell??!?! (Also, side note, the things that you could do in that glass hallway….😗)

Also, I love Hoseok’s playful sexiness. He’s cocky, entertaining, and dynamic, and it’s beyond charming and I love his character so much already. 

And *bangs fist on table* Willow, why’d you have to make Jungkook so, so sexy? Hmm?? That entire kitchen scene had me reeling. With a capital REELING. I was so breathless by the time I was done, and then I had to go get dinner as if all of that did not just happen. As if you didn’t make me go “Oh…” by the end of it all. As if you didn’t know how much your writing affects me, and yet, you do something like this.

Okay, now that I’ve calmed down a little...Um...I’m not sure if you’ll see me later tonight, tomorrow, next week, or during my break that’s coming up, but you’ll most definitely be met with a reaction of me screaming to the heavens because of you.
