This one hurt. And it hurt alot😭. It's been a while since I've read a hanahaki story. Mainly because these are the ones that usually have me staying up later than usual at night, contemplating everything and letting the hurt and angst sink in over and over.

“You know, I’m finding it more and more difficult to not blurt out my feelings.” A dark chuckle escapes from his lips. "Well, more like difficult to not blurt out flowers."

Another round of painful laughter erupts from Taehyung only to be interrupted by the bloodstained rose petals exiting his mouth.

Yoongi's grimace gives Taehyung a good idea of how he might look right now. A tear-stained face and bloodstained hands with crumpled rose petals. Taehyung can't do anything but scoff at the irony of the red petals in his hand.

Love. Roses mean love.

Taehyung loves you, but you love Jimin. You're with Jimin. His best friend.

Despite the fact that he's secretly been developing feelings for you for years (he's just been better at convincing himself he wasn't before) he knew that he couldn't have you.

Especially given the recent announcement.

"We're getting married!" You and Jimin had announced excitedly to your group of friends earlier today.

Taehyung had felt himself choke on his drink a little bit as the rest of his friends were quick to cheer for the couple. A smile plasters itself onto his face as he pats his best friend on the back.

"Congrats Jiminie," Taehyung said sincerely, making his best friend's crescent moon smile appear.

"Thank you," He pats Taehyung on the back. "Do you want to be my best man?"

As hard as it may be for Taehyung not to blurt out his feelings, he could never take away that happiness from Jimin.

“Of course.”

His morality and self respect jump right off a cliff with no parachute in sight, succumbing to your every wish like a dumb little puppet for you to play with. There’s just something about the way you call him over, your saccharine lies wrapping him around your finger so beautifully he almost doesn’t hate it.

I’m so glad that my brain decided to bail out on me and make me take a four-hour nap instead of only a one-hour one today because this was the perfect story to read after I gathered my bearings.

We’re back we the squad again, and it’s better than ever!! Right off the bat, I giggled at Taehyung’s big brain energy and the fact that he found a loophole in their bets:

“You didn’t say which window!” He shot you a diabolical grin. “I could just tumble from the first floor and make a fortune.”

This is honestly something I'd do....if I had the energy for it. And Gina and her love for Klaus and Alaric?!?!?! The two best characters in the TVD??!?!? I wanna binge the show with her now because there’s a lot to talk about and she’s such a cool character. So funny, so supportive too and I feel like you could honestly rule the entire world with her around.

Namjoon popping up behind Tae on the bus: *insert ‘hey how yall doing meme’* This part honestly shouldn’t have made me giggle as much as I did but bless him and his timing. Also, major applause for Uncle Dohwan striking again with their hotel room. I’d like an Uncle Dohwan because he really is a true savior.

Okay, but onto a more serious note, I really love the way you write. It’s almost as easy as breathing the way you just capture attention and keep us yearning for more. The slow insertion of angst to keep you wanting more, reading more to find the underlying cause is a beauty on its own. And with each and every story there are layers before you truly get to the bottom of the problem and sometimes things aren’t what they seem. But if they are, it’s different because there’s more to it, and that’s the gold coin for each and every one of your stories. It’s like a mystery on its own to truly uncover what’s really happening and feelings surrounding everything and everyone involved. 

The longer he looked at you, the more your face heated. Jungkook had a way of looking which set fire to your veins, which made you feel seen and wanted and heard. 

This is just beautiful. I really have nothing else to say except for that.

I’m also really in love with the banquet scene. There are so many variables happing around this: the mix of sexual tension and blooming angst between Jungkook and the reader (I’d like to quickly add here that I love Gina’s comments about understanding that only you are in control of what you do and don’t do, creating your own future, and learning how to express the feelings that you have for someone. This was honestly needed even though I’ve heard it thousands of times, but it was still nice to see), the comedy with being iced and the steak (I’m still chuckling about that now☠️), but also the angst between Jimin, her, and Jungkook.

Something that I noticed was that you brought in two different instances for and usages “self-preservation”. At the beginning of the story, we see it when she is biting her tongue to say those three words, but we also see it again with Jimin and the fact that he also held back his feelings for her. They have their own unique forms of self-preservation both wanting to love and be loved. And that's so beautifully tragic. On the one hand, we see what happens when you do hold back your feelings, but the other we see what happens if you don’t. We see the one’s who have loved and the one’s who have lost. It’s a small note to make and a very subtle appearance within your writing, but it holds so much power, and it just goes to show that no matter what, you should always try to be forward with how you’re feeling. I can also understand the reader’s feelings for not being able to trust Jimin the same again after what happened, and I’m glad that she understands her own feelings and the fact that she pointed out that there are three variables within this situation and not two. 

Now, did my heart leap to my throat when Jungkook said that he needed more time to make her fall in love with him?!?!? Possibly. I may have sniffed once or twice because wooooowwww. WOWWWWWWW!!! We’d have to get married right then and there.

Also Jungkook within the next 2 seconds: "yes, please 🥺 I wanna see you🥺🥺🥺"

The smut was soooo hot oh my goodness!!!! And I really liked the fact that they had that layer of trust between them in order to do something as intense as using handcuffs. That just shows that they’re in it for the long haul and I adore their relationship. Really.

This story was so beautiful. So perfect! I'm glad that she can love fully and without any regrets or panic or uneasiness. They deserve it after everything that they've been through together and I’m wishing them the best whether or not Jungkook decides to go to the NHL or not after all of this.
