Ditching Those Bad Habits!

Reflect on your triggers! What causes me to start these bad habits? What kind of impact do these habits have on me? Journal questions like these and then think of ways to stop these triggers.
2. Remind yourself who you are! You have been with yourself through your highs and lows. Therefore, you can get through these bad habits. You know what you’re truly capable of, so say those affirmations and push through.
3. Slowly start healthy habits! It may take a while, and that’s ok. You aren’t going to be able to get rid of those unhealthy habits overnight. It takes time and that’s perfectly fine. In order to get to your dream routine slowly start healthy habits. Think of healthy habits that will get you to your goals. Then, start them as soon as you can!
4. Take a full reset day! Take a day fully to yourself, reset your mind and soul. Do some meditation, skincare, take a shower, do your favorite hobby, sleep early, etc. The day of, wake up as if you’re a new person. This person doesn’t go back to those toxic habits, negative people, or triggers. Also, I recommend you plan this day out ahead of time so you can make it detailed.

Anyway I’m done mourning the sad stuff. Back to being an overachiever and keeping my face stuffed in books. I made a list of my biggest priorities for the next 6 months or so, broke it down into what needs to be done daily vs weekly. What distractions to cut out to avoid losing track of what’s important to me. I’ve picked up a nasty bingewatching habit so I’m cutting it cold turkey for at least the next 6 months but I might make it a full year thing, depends. I switched over to TickTick (desktop primarily but I use the app as well when my mac is out of reach) as my new task manager and I planned out the rest of the year on it. Second half may be subject to change as I reassess once we get there but from now until summer is pretty locked and loaded. I’ve simplified my beauty routine, my cleaning routine, my meal plans, everything. They’re more streamlined and have the excess fat trimmed off. Less to worry about, less time spent on them, less products. I’m hyperfocused on a select few tasks and going all in on them.
I’ve been getting lazy lately and that won’t do. No more playing around.
