For some weird reason I was singing 24 to 25 and reading Christmas fic in early February (-_-') Anw if someone is as Weird , this fic is REALLY UWU CUTE <3

✧ NOTES/WARNINGS: mild language + very brief mention of alcohol. confident!reader has pipes that the writer can only dream of. jisung is a fratboy that gets easily (and adorably) shy. speaking of fratboys, wingman! + fratboy!felix knows how to make a party interesting (max and i have this headcanon that jisung and felix are both fratboys but in different fonts and this fic basically fueled that agenda). short appearance of bestfriend!ryujin. yes this imagine was inspired by a certain iconic ‘00s disney movie, yes i was a disney kid, and yes i royally fucked up my sleep schedule for the sake of writing this imagine so pls don’t let it flop :/

you let out a shaky breath, shivering lightly as you leaned against the railing and admired the city lights. the ski lodge that your university’s student body had rented out for the annual new year’s party was absolutely gorgeous. the main rooms inside looked like something out of a movie, and the back area outside where you stood featured hot tubs, as well as a breathtaking view of the city that stood miles away from the venue. definitely worth the $80 fee to rsvp a spot for the trip.

you looked around you, and it seemed like you were the only one outside. a group of boys had come out to grab food from the grill earlier, so you only assumed they went inside.

after a minute, you decided to do the same, entering the ski lodge through the glass door and shutting it behind you. you figured you could find something interesting inside. after all, you were here for a good time. it’d be a waste not to seek it while you could.

as you stepped in, you found yourself back in the common room, the largest room in the resort, where the majority of the other students on the trip were gathered. most of the people formed a crowd around the middle of the room, eating and chatting amongst themselves as music blasted from the surround speakers.

at the center of the room was a small karaoke stage, right in front of a vacant dj stand. you watched a girl standing upon the karaoke stage, slurring the lyrics to “all i want for christmas is you” off-key into the mic as you navigated your way to the front of the crowd. you bit your lip to hold back a grimace; the university had banned alcohol from the party due to some students being underage, and it was painfully obvious she had snuck some in anyway.

what caught your attention the most, however, was someone else singing the same song. a male voice carried amongst the chatter, and you could still hear it from your spot towards the left of the stage. he was singing circles around the girl with the mic. and god was he loud.

“he’s good, isn’t he?”

You knocked on the leader's door remembering how nervous you were the first time. However now you walk in a bit more comfortably noticing how everyone's attitude is changing into something more softer something...warmer.

"hey come in yn, sit ." he gestured at the chairs opposite him.

" are you feeling better?" he inquired showing his dimples and you wondered if it was for making small talk or genuine care. It seemed the latter.

"yep much better" you returned the smile.

"you're main job is being our personal doctor give the list of medical stuff you need to seungmin. You can start keeping our physical records and checkup as per your comfort. I ll trust you on that."

"wow this feels really real"

"it is and here's your schedule"

He handed you a paper with horizontal table printed on it

"strength training , member’s check up, firearms training, defensive training?”

you raised an eyebrow at him and he knew exactly knew what you’re thinking

everyone included in our organization from are drivers to S.Is everyone is trained .S. Is are-”

" secret investigators...this is harder than I thought.” you nervously smiled

" hey no worries i’ll have our best people to train you. you start officially from tomorrow but before that you’ll need to sign some forms you can get them from either seungmin or innie.” 

*knock* *door opens*

"Hey chan, hey yn If you're done here we'd like to show you around "

"remember to behave lix"

"yeah it's me and 00s"

"why did that worry me"

"just a minute lix. Chan what about my previous job?"

"oh yeah I forgot here's your new card and I already told them to look into it. You can go over and sign the cancellation of your contract there."

"okay-"

"yn! "and han pulled you away.

"Hyunjin! Han!" you laughed at their unexpected enthusiasm

"what's the code you said in there lix 00?"

"It's no code it's us and now it's you I. N said your 00 liner"

"oh so that's what it is"

"So I think you already know this entire hallway leads to everyone's room and chan's office so let's skip it."

"wait although remember the rooms are in our age's descending order"

"first one is the gym there are alot of equipments I don't think we use all of it"

"yeah the last one doesn't even work Changbin lost a part so it's just for storage now."

"next is the shooting range... Then the training area."

"but do you know what's the best thing in skz House" felix asked a glint in his eyes.

"the pool!" screamed Hyunjin and han high - five each other

"no?! It's obviously the underground escape"

"wow you guys have an underground room?!"

"let's go down it's the last room.

" welcome to the chamber of secrets yn there's a password to go in the year of stray kid's establishment "

"thanks han but can't we go in?"

"not unless someone breaks in. And that's probably never?"

"well that's sad"

"no its not sad Hyunjin shut up" and han Hyunjin started arguing.

And so you left them there down. Honestly not going in was a bummer

"knock knock"

"get in"

"that was lame"

"no that was lame" he pointed his finger at you

"I'm guessing you're here for the contract"

"Yep"

"Here" he spread out the sheets on his desk and gestured you to come closer

"This one says betray us like a traitor and you're in hell. This one, betray us like a fool and you're dead and this one says your death your responsibility ofcourse we save each other's ass but you never know."

"okay..." you said a bit no alot hesitantly but seungmin didn't seem to mind.

"hey seungmin-oh are you registering her" Lee know sat down on seungmin's bed.

"did you tell her about our code?"

"no I was about to. this is the most important one omerta, the code of silence. We rely on this code — in which no one speaks about Mafia activities to anyone outside the family — I mean our mafia gang to protect themselves and the family from the law."

"do you understand?" asked Lee know and you nodded.

You seem to still be scared of him.

"y-yes" you cleared your throat.

" so there's no blood oath of any sorts?"

And they chuckled well seungmin did while Lee know laughed like a witch.

"no? That stopped like decades ago if you really want to show us your loyalty bleed while fighting for one of us"

You shrugged. Chan said you won't go out alot. Isn't that a good thing?

"where are you going?" seungmin questioned as you took off.

"out"

"well that's really vague" Lee know said to which the other male replied "she's always vague. But when are you leaving"

Should you really ask the mafia leader to get your personal items from your house?

Yeah you don't think so. You only realised you were still standing outside seungmin's room when it's door opened.

"hey Lee know... Do you know who could take me home I need to get my stuff you know"

" well if you're thinking to take I. N you can't he and seungmin are busy today. You don't wanna go alone?"

"it's not that I don't I can't I don't know the directions you guys don't really live in a popular landmark "

"here's beautiful and you know it you can just take chicken or Changbin I'm sure he' ll like to go out"

"but where is... He? And he's gone. Age wise right? So seungmin.... 3 rooms ahead "

"hello? Changbin? Nope" you enter his dark room as soon as you leave.

But you meet Felix outside

"hey I need to go out do you know Where's... Chicken? "

"I won't take you!" he says running away towards his room "you're one of them! " leaving a very confused you. "oh so Felix is chicken and you never tease him that. Noted."

"seungminnie "

"what do you want, be quick we need to report chan?"

"do you know Where's Changbin?"

"where do you think he is. He practically lives in the gym"

"oh thank you! Do you want anything from the city I can get you. "

"not really the hyungs go there all the time but I'd like a sugar glazed Krispy Kreme"

"gotcha see you later"

And both of you took off your separate ways

You pushed the metal door revealing the person you were looking for

"Changbin? There you are I've looking for you"

"what's up"

"I need a ride"

"where to?"

"my house and then the hospital"

"fine but only if you buy me lunch" he said smile tilted probably from trying to smirk

"well good thing I got paid today" you showed off your new card grinning

"we ll leave in 10"

"okay! I ll wait"

You settled in the passenger's seat of the blue sedan while Changbin was prepping to drive.

"yn remember nobody should know our base's location. So always take one of us or when you're alone take the bus and call us we'll pick you up from the stop."

"because people may break in?like you broke in nct?

He nodded finally starting the engines" "understood."

"how much do you think this card is worth? Should I ask chan"

"ask him when it's empty but I don't think it will" he said smirking

"is it that much!"

"thank god I didn't lose my key" you said as you fidgeted with the lock of your house

"do you really think only keys can open a lock?"

"no. Teach me later. Come in. I didn't come home alot so it never got dirty"

"do you need help" he asked laying on the sofa

"nope I ll just dump everything in boxes"

"cool. Cuz' I really didn't want to help"

You both chuckled. And just like you said you really did dump all of the clothes.

"hey I'm ready to leave"

"do you not need to bid goodbye or whatever to your house?"

"whatever. Bye."

"hey you can go ahead I ll Park the car and meet you in?"

"Alright"

You nervously walked into the hospital making beeline to the Administration floor. You really don't want to meet people or get asked you were still officially on a leave. Thankfully either of seungmin or I. N did your work easy and you were good to go after signing the cancellations. You stepped out to see Changbin reading the hospital board.

"I'm done. Let's get some food " you stood beside him looking up at the board too.

Skz POV

The eyes he was feeling on himself weren't the ones who any normal citizen would give. His appearance was that of normal black tracksuit. Nobody would recognise him here right? Starting to get conscious by the weird feeling he pulled up his mask covering my face. He looked around trying to keep up with the facade but he noticed none. Just patient's family waiting and a few doctors standing. That's when he noticed the familiar name on the hospital's board.

"this hospital's owned by the parks"

He said putting on his seat belt.

"yeah I know the owner's nephew"

Do I pry?

"Jay Park?"

"that's the man"

"wait - was he the one who bombarded your phone with messages?"

"he didn't bombard it was a couple like 5-6.how do you know him? "

"I just... Know him" he shrugged

However before you could pry he changed the subject

"you don't have people to bid goodbye to?"

"no not really. I mean Jay Park was one but I contacted him earlier and somehow convinced I'm a private doctor of a really old rich woman which he totally bought for some reason. He's in LA right now so yeah I wont meet anyone for a while. Oh yeah there was my ghost friend "

" ghost? "

" yeah I don't know of I can call him a friend but we were on good terms. "

" a crush perhaps ? he teased giving a knowing look but you shrugged.

"not really I don't know. It's complicated" he pulled over to a pizzerie putting a halt to your thoughts.

"well then forget about it. Your with us now"

"yeah I am" you laughed.

Changbin's giddy thoughts were broken by the ringing of his phone.

"hello chan!" he greeted happily. But the smile on his face fell instantly.

"is everything okay?" you asked looking at him as he turned pale. He looked at the message chan said and rushed to his room shutting the door loudly leaving you alone on the couch the sound of TV fading in the back.
