can we just talk about how august is one of the most well-written antagonist characters in modern media? he’s done some unforgivable things but you still see him as human. he’s not just an evil person to make the storyline more interesting, he’s so much more complex than that. from a writer’s perspective i absolutely love his character and his storyline so much. also props to malte gårdinger for playing him so well. wow. just. wow.

rb young royals august horn of årnäs yr s3 spoilers young royals season 3 Based SO BASED hes such a well written antagonists see here it’s easier to write a “ho ho I’m so evil my personality is evil I exist to make the pro tags life miserable” antag And it’s easier to hate on Mr. Ho Ho evil antag that way but it also makes the antag flat and boring and where’s the fun and realism in that im happy that they gave august way more depth You can sympathize with him through the shit he went through but you can’t (and shouldn’t) defend any of his actions This adds depth and realism in the story Young royals is such a good show
