I'm working on the character designs of a DND inspired covid-related Zombie Apocalapse comic I'm in the beginning of fleshing out

Joesph currently has the most backstory. Despite quarantine restrictions and the dangers, he wandered into the city where all the players meet because that was where gas was currently cheap and he needed to power his mechanical heart.

＼( ｀∀´)／ I was actually going to make the whole world when I was planning on DM this near the start of COVID-19, but I have literally never played before and was unprepared to do a campaign with 6-7 players. And we didn't stay in contact much longer after I got some basic character info from everyone. So I guess I'll be doing all this heavy thinking/lifting (｀ε´)

Dnd Character concept 3/7 (?)

Last of the easiest characters I've had the pleasure of working with. Although Beatrice was going to be a player's playable character, they needed my help to put a character together that they wanted to play as

I'd didn't have as much info or directions for remaining characters...

Beatrice just got into the workforce outta school when the pandemic hit and after years of this sh*t she finally exhausted all of her humanitarian passion for nursing. Not that she had much while she was still in school... she was pushed into healthcare by her parents.

She'll later have access to cleric's brand of magic, but she still plays the role of the group's medic early on. Mains machete.

Personality wise, I'd had Linda from The Edge Of Sleep in mind when my player wanted to fill the cleric niche but wanted to play into their Evil alignment. I always thought she was too practical on the podcast but she's a true survivor in my opinion. She scared me a little. ( ⚆ _ ⚆ )

Anyways, the podcast was thrilling, if too short in my opinion (¬､¬) I can't wait for the adaption. I personally recommend you check it out!!!

Beatrice readily cooperates with the group because an idiot would have to have superpowers in order to survive this ruined world, but she won't let her attachments to them stop her from breaking off from or betraying them if their she doesn't like what the group has decided as a whole.

Not afraid to torture, not afraid to kill humans, but doesn't have the nature to kill and torture for fun. She would've started the campaign with a bat and later gotten a machete that she would have taken a shine too

Beatrice is also the only girl in the campaign (¬､¬)

Don't have a lot of info on the character, but I have a lot of stories from when the original player was still designing him lol

Daryl Ngo was always going to be a monk class character, but E was fucking around with his backstory every time he tried submitting it to me lol

First, he gave me a story that must have been madlibbed off of a wuxia light (loonnnggg) novel

Main prot bs. 凸(¬‿¬) Must've truly just meant to mess with me because I know he's done campaigns before he was planning for this one. He put a little more effort in the second one to hide the fact that his backstory was exactly like Sasuke's from Naruto, and his main motivation in this ruined world was to hunt down his brother who in a covid induced rage murdered their parents and extended family ✖‿✖ Good laugh there, but we cut off contact before I got a good answer from him.

I had to give Daryl his name. He's also a proper martial artist with a career as a stuntsmen before Covid. I just realized the party is mostly melees, and he is one of them, but he is the most proficient in the group at using firearms.

I have no current plans for him to have any magic related to the magic system in my campaign-turned-comic, but I also never learned how to be a DM properly so I'll have to think about it. Someone was gonna get magic guns later on in the campaign tho...
