Under appreciated character of the day: TWD’s Gabriel

This man was introduced to the show as a preacher that holed up in his church and locked out his flock to ensure his own safety when the Walkers came. He listened to his people die in order to keep all the supplies of the church to himself.

But he didn’t do this out of malice, he did this out of fear of death. And fear, well that can bring out the worst in people.

In the end, he changes. He’s no longer afraid. He stands up for himself even when the end result might kill him. He stands by the right thing to do even if the wrong thing is easier.

People change.
