I stated that it is frowned upon, and that is fundamentally the issue. For example, inviting ponies to a picnic and instructing them to sit within the circle of sensors so you can take readings of the interactions is not considered appropriate.

That doesn’t mean such readings would not be beneficial, on the contrary they could be quite illuminating. But as it stands, the act of measuring is not beneficial due to the observer effect. Taking measurements disrupts the thing you are trying to measure, thus you won’t have any results.

However, it is socially acceptable to observe things without instruments, and in some instances write them down. You just have to make sure it doesn’t seem like you aren’t paying attention (even though the study requires you to pay attention ponies still assume you don’t if you’re taking notes).

New Nephew

I realize that most of you guys are expecting more than anything is a new Star Wars movie, from all the buzz going online. By the way, between the new ideas and the schoolwork to swamp me, my new nephew turned a week old today and am happily anticipating the day I get to meet my brother and his new family in person, whether it be next week exactly or Tsagaan Sar in a couple of months. My new nephew's name is Ishizue/Suuriin Chuluu. I am happy to hear that he's strong and healthy after 9 seemingly long months of my sister-in-law's baggage. It's not to say that I'm not waiting to see it too when it comes out with subs. I love Star Wars. I hope to bring new updates soon.

How I chose the theme

Some of you guys are wondering how I chose the Ainu as the main theme for this page. Well here it is: You guys probably remember wen I said I am Mongolian, right? Well, my mother's Japanese, -meaning I'm half & half-, & my brother's living with his wife in Hakodate in Hokkaido, where fair sized communities live. I would like to thank him & his wife, who is 5 months pregnant, & my parents & 2 sisters, who live in Bayangol. They all helped inspire me to do this project along with my stories, which you can check out on Fanfiction.net under Zenhersetgel. I also work with a few other people on a bunch of things, who I'd also like 2 thank. I am working on a bunch of stories outside this blog on various themes.
