Anyone consider that Bill might spend most of his time intoxicated? It occurred to me the other day while writing that he may be one of those people who's basically always drunk, high, or hung over. This is just speculation on my end without a whole lot to go off of but he's drinking when he goes to talk to Ford. He tells his cronies to hide the "time punch" when the cops show up, implying it's some kind of illegal substance. He pressured Ford into drinking with him and gets him wasted. He gets sloppy drunk after the breakup and causes havoc.

I know these are only a few references to alcohol but Bill himself doesn't have a ton of screen time as a character in general. Still, he's established as a nonstop party animal and he clearly likes to drink at parties sooo.... you connect the dots there.

Honestly, I think this headcannon makes a lot of sense. It fits with Bill constantly trying to avoid any sort of self-reflection and drown out his trauma. What better way to avoid thinking about your past than to be perpetually too intoxicated to remember half of it anyway. Hell, his manic behavior could also be partially a result of often being on something. Not just alcohol but, knowing Bill, he probably tries all kinds of crazy shit.

Furthermore, this headcannon adds an extra layer to him losing his mind in the theraprism. On top of everything else, this is possibly the first time he'd been sober (for any prolonged period of time) in thousands of years.

I don't know maybe I'm stating something obvious that other people already picked up on. I guess I picked up on this implication a while ago but it just dawned on me yesterday that he might have been various degrees of drunk or high in most of the scenes we see him and that's a bit of a wild thought to me.
