oh look it’s another comic. wowza. i did like half of it on a plane while watching random sitcoms

part of the process of making this was menacingly holding a pencil over my head and thinking really really hard about how long my arms are. luckily i was alone

i always felt like the corruption had a handle on in obsessive love, especially in episodes like nesting instinct and love bombing

it also makes it an interesting similarity to the web that is also about manipulation which connects back to those toxic relationships.

i have lots of thoughts on how all the fears work together, truly colors that will kill you

does the corruption also cover a fear of toxic relationships? because i know a lot of the other fears have a much more conceptual/nebulous aspect to them, like how the flesh represents both a fear of physical disfigurement and represents things like dysphoria and dysmorphia.

i ask about the corruption because

a) it literally represents illness, festering, etc.

and b) jane's whole thing about "consumed by what loves you"

One of my hobbies is listening to the tma q&a with jonny and Alex and clipping out bits that I'm like, this is just martin and Jon bickering. The girls are fighting. This conversation could happen in season 5 and I would not bat an eye.

Alex repeats, "The Corruption is a Power that can be kicked. I have-- I have no time for it." Jonny hums argumentatively and says, "Disagree," making Alex laugh. End VD]

Thoughts on the trans Alice (mtf) and Sam (ftm) headcanons? :)

I tend to steer clear of canon discussion and avoid head-canons as much as possible since I don't really believe in the author-as-authority thing. That said, just to be clear, the character Alice Dyer is canonically trans.
