I want to say that it's even more insane than that.
You have a conceived notion of what your body is, and it should match that. The body, on the other hand, disagrees.
All it does is follow instructions written in proteins and acids.
So if your body changes, it will adapt.
Added or removed limbs are a good example. Amputated limbs still have phantom sensations because your brain disagrees with what your body is. So if you stick a bionic limb on that stump, the brain suddenly gets happy again, because your form fits what it thinks you should be.
But the whole body is so malleable.
Hrt will make you change drastically, working out will make your bones change along with your muscles, injuries will change the way you move and feel, and so many more tiny things that we never notice. But your body is not just born one way. You CAN change it. It isn't a monolith. It's just your brains meat sculpture in whatever shape you let it be.
hrt really be like "disregard previous instrustions. grow a body in this style instead" and the body just complies

Communism sucks. ask anyone who escaped communism into a safer country and they can tell you that. it's not exactly a controversial opinion. but for SOME REASON there's been a resurgence of communism (yes I know it's because our corporate overlords are tightening the vice again and starting new blood feuds to profit off)
so let me be clear here; communism WILL NOT SAVE YOU
a communist society will always fail, a communist society will always turn fascist and it will always end in pain. the entire core of communism is repressive, like it or not.

communism asks everyone to put aside petty differences, to lift each other up and cast off our chains, but some of us need chains. human nature is not good or evil, it's natural. nature is built on competition, and greed is innate to the human condition, just as the need for conflict is. so no matter what we do, there will always be someone trying to hurt others, whether for personal gain or because something went horribly wrong in their life and it brings them pleasure.
"cop mentality" is not something to be celebrated, but guys, please, stop being so naive. we need some form of law enforcement, because without it, there's nothing to stop the greedy, the hateful, and the monstrous from just having their way.
that's what happened to the USSR, after all. it was a good idea on paper, but the people who led it were all still human, and still made mistakes and reached for more anywhere they could get some. Lenin killed millions, Stalin killed more, and it all collapsed eventually because it was never viable to begin with.
but ignoring all that, the glaring flaw in communism is that it DEMANDS loyalty. under communism, you are loyal to the state. you submit yourself to its rule and have faith that it does what's right for you
and that's always, ALWAYS going to attract cruel, spiteful people who believe that they are right, because nobody will have faith in someone who seems too human and fallible.
so no, communism won't save you from this hell. capitalism has hurt you, but communism will make it worse
instead of decrying anyone who dares try to fight for what we have, try just... considering it? just lstening for a bit and trying to understand them?
because I promise you, average security guards are still going to feel the pain of capitalism as much as you do. shop attendants and minimum wage employees are still feeling the pain of capitalism. but at least they can feel at all, because my god, under communism anybody who dares not obey will die in misery.

As someone who has been to Europe, yeah. Coffee there is so different to Australia. Especially in Italy, you pretty much only get a straight shot of coffee in a tiny cup and drink it standing up, which sucks ass. Paris, take fucking notes, your shitty little cafes need to have REAL COFFEE AND NOT EITHER PODS OR FLAT BLACK
I initially opened this article, actually an interview with the director of the Olympic Village and its senior executive chef, because I thought it might be interesting reading for the Shivadh novels. I don't think I'll use it, if only because I don't intend anyone in the books to ever perform this level of food service, but it did make my data loving heart go pitter-pat and it's genuinely interesting reading.
Highlights include the millions of bananas they'll be serving, the fact that all the coffee grounds will go to growing mushrooms, and the information that the Australians brought a barista with them and turned part of their zone into a cafe. What a baller job, IMPORTED OLYMPIC BARISTA.
