This quip is in fact based off the 2010 Alice in Wonderland live action!! The Mad Hatter so PERFECTLY fits Ruin, I couldn’t help it. UGH THIS EPISODE DARK SUN CALLED HIMSELF ‘SOLSTICE’ AND WAS LIKE “NAMES SUCK. JUST CALL ME SUN IDIOT????” AND IT MADE ME EXPLODE!! But also giggle because thats the second time me and my bestie have snuck that name into the show. mwahahah 😈😈😈 guys use hashtag # solsticeisthebetternameuseitnowpleasepleaseplease2024 (DON’T ACTUALLY DO THAT IM JOKING.) I call him Solstice and he will be Solstice forever in my heart, but I EQUALLY love the fact that he’s just so…original?? He prefers just being a Sun, he doesn’t WANT a new identity, he wants to be seen for what he is and what suns can become— and in a way, he’s a Sun Liberator. Which is…insanely cool.
also the fact Ruin is his own person and not a sun or moon makes me..so happy.

New Moon/Nexus says he's doing ~all of this~ because he doesn't want to be "controlled" by anyone anymore.
Wait until he realizes Dark Sun has been the one controlling him the entire time. Dark Sun has been pulling Nexus's strings every step of the way, all those months ago when he stalled the family long enough for Ruin to kill the dimensions, and every nudge he gave since then. Every decisions Nexus THINKS he's made has been orchestrated by Dark Sun, who is using him like a tool.
Wait until it hits him just how EASY IT WAS for Dark Sun to do it, too; Dark Sun predicted the exact reactions New Moon/Nexus would have to various things, and only needed to nudge and manipulate a few events here and there. Wait until he realizes how EASY it was to make him abandon his morals and family, it was just like pressing a couple buttons and he reacted EXACTLY the way Dark Sun predicted and wanted him to. What Nexus thought was him taking control of his own destiny, getting rid of his emotions, "finally doing what he wants without anyone holding him back", was actually him dancing along like a puppet on a string with Dark Sun as his puppeteer.
Wait until the reality hits him; that when he embraced Evil and went with Dark Sun to become Nexus and "not be controlled", he has NEVER been free for even one second -- he was just an easily-manipulated tool for someone far smarter than him, who knew what tricks and tactics would get him to trash everything he had, and he fell for all of it like a damn SUCKER?
How do you think he'll react?

An overanalization of a 3 second clip of the Ruin DCA for drawing references.

UPDATE MAY 28:
I've been reading people theorys and ideas.
I think the eyes simply has a LED ligth that alternates between yellow/white and red.
I don't think they could ever blink, if you take a look to the original pre-ruin design there is no space for eyelids.
I've seen people talk about their mouth moving. I personaly think that if their endo was supossed to have a moving mouth then, those teeth are actually holders for more polished teeth, and the mouth wouldn't open but the teeth would move to make it apear they are moving their mouth.
Those shadows behind the teeth, I toke a better look and I do think they are holes! There are some positions they don't make sense as shadows so it must be some kind of rack or grating, posibly for the voice box.
A few people have comented about the shock absorbers in the legs, I didn't thought about that, it makes so much sense.
UPDATE JULY 26 (after dlc release):
So, I got right that the teeth moved, just wrong with the direction lol, why do they move to the outside and in that wave animation?
Also, there are no holes behind the teeth, they were actual shadows (I still think that it would have been cool if they were holes that faintly illuminated when they talk)
The spring of the broken leg is hanging without the support of the foot, that's why it was so hard for me to figure out the shape in the trailer (I'll put screenshots when I get to the pc)

And the eyes aren't completely broken like I thought, just very dirty.
Do you remember that theory that relates the Mimic to the DCA? weird right? I never get it…Well, this idea about Jackie/Mimic being the DCA's mom just popped into my mind when I remembered it and I just couldn't ignore it :P
And I bet Jackie would be a proud momma 💖🥰☀️🌑🤡💖
