Another couple of pages of sketchbook.

Watercolor painting of a basset hound. Watercolor and I have always been mortal enemies; however, I’m not content to say I’m never going to be interested in a medium or that it’ll never be worth my time.
This is what I’ve spent my spring break this year doing instead of the multitude of other things I had planned. A last minute prop commission for a theatrical production, and six days later, we have a dead half-plucked goose and a literally fluorescent canary with a breakable neck. I like fabricating props. It’s been years since the last time I’d done it, and I am thinking that I want to do it more. Coincidentally, you can see the show if you’re in Grand Junction for the 30th or 31st of March or the 1st of April. The play is called Julie (25f); it’s a premiere of a new work by Dianne Nora, and the director is Maridee Slater. More info on that can be found on the Colorado Mesa University Theatre Arts website.
