so far ,, your week had been extremely hectic. your parents were making you do a bunch of things ,, left and right - up and down - and it worked you to the bone. frustrated with how they had been treating you ,, a decision to take a break had been made.

going out for a nice stroll ,, to get some fresh air ,, you passed by the burns’s place. you were good friends with the chief’s daughter ,, dani ,, and she had also been busy this week. though ,, since you’ve known dani and her family for ages ,, they had trusted you with their secret of the rescue bots.

so you knew about heatwave ,, chase ,, boulder ,, and blades. you would often talk with them as well ,, listen to all their troubles and their desires ,, their interests and dislikes. it was wonderful talking with them ,, they had made you feel like you belonged somewhere in life ,, unlike how you felt at home.

“ hello cody ,” you waved at the kid ,, hearing him give a greeting back to you as well exchanging a wave. a soft smile spread across your lips ,, walking towards where the bots were at the moment.

“ hello !” blades greeted ,, excited to see you ,, as you havent been around in about a week. it was routine by now ,, visiting them once a week or so just to sit down and talk. “ hey blades ,” you replied ,, feeling his servo wrap around your body and pick you up.

“ greetings ,, (y/n) ,” chase gave a nod in your direction. boulder gave a small wave and heatwave didnt say anything. he doesnt say much ,, only when its needed or necessary. you didnt mind that though ,, only happy to be around in his presence.

“ how are you ? are you doing good ? i hope you are ! oh ! we got finished a rescue not too long ago ,, you shouldve seen me !!” blades was quick to start blabbing about how great he was during said rescue. it only made you giggle at his behavior ,, patting at his finger. “ i wish i couldve seen it ,” your smile soon fell ,, remembering why you werent there to see him in action.

“ hey ,, what’s wrong ?” blades asked ,, his conversation with himself starting to die down. “ ah nothing ,, just ,, some stuff ,,” you let out a sigh ,, letting out a small smile as you gazed up at the bot. though you had tried to convince him ,, blades only pouted and held you close to his chassis. it was something he would do commonly when he realized you were upset. it was like his own version of giving a hug.

you hummed softly ,, giving his chassis a pat before looking back up at the bot. “ its okay blades ,, i mean it. im quite fine ,, just needed a break from home is all.” you said ,, which had caught the attention of boulder. “ oh ! we can spend some time together ,, (y/n) ! i do need help with something !” he gave a soft chuckle.

and after boulder had spoke up ,, chase was next to add in. “ and when you are done with what boulder needs ,, i would like for you to accompany when i go on patrol. it would not only be beneficial but also educational for you.” he remarked.

“ what ?!” blades gasped ,, holding you closer and away from the other two. “ no way ! i was going to do something with them ! you cant just take them away !” he huffed and pouted. heatwave sighed ,, easily grabbing you out of blades’s grasp. the autobot held you gently in his own servos ,, keeping you away from the rest of his team.

“ there is no need to argue over them ,, theyre not a toy .” he reminded them ,, rolling his optics are their fussing. “ of course ,,” he casted his gaze at you ,,“ i am available if you wish to spend some time with me .” he muttered under his breathe.

you only laughed lightly at them all ,, shaking your head as you looked towards them. “ how about we just do something together ?”

Pride headcanons: S/O that is out and proud

Optimus - He is happy for them and accompanies them to any events he can. Might find a way to get his team to be a part of the security, or stay on the outskirts of the events. If there are any workshops or seminars, he'd love to go and listen. His S/O getting them both history books and sitting down to discuss and learn together is what he loves the most. If he gets a sticker, he is putting one on the inside plating of his chassis. And the other on the inside of his windshield.

Ratchet - He is happy that they are able to express themself and tells them to enjoy the festivities. He isn't much for the crowds, and while he'll say they didn't have to get him anything, he'll keep anything they get him safely stored away.

Bumblebee - He is joining them on any events they end up going to and will find a way to keep a flag in the base. If he can't hang it above the tv he will have it on the wall of his habsuite. His alt gets a permanent decal.

Bulkhead - He's happy for them and will keep on the outskirts of the festivities. He offers his help in decorating the Community centres and painting murals after the events are over. If he gets a sticker or a small flag, he's putting it somewhere safe as a memory.

Prowl - He will be observing from the edges, content with seeing his S/O being able to enjoy themself so much. His holoform will be wearing a pride patch during and after the month is over, and if he is given a sticker he will think hard about where to put it before he does it.

Jazz - He's a DJ at the events his S/O goes to. If he wasn't able to get the spot, he'd go walk with his S/O in his holoform and coax them into dancing. He gets a sticker first and sticks it on his windshield, and gets a flag to hang in his hab later on.

Sentinel - He would not go to a gathering of organics, and would instead drop them off near any events. If they got him some kind of merch, he'd be a real tsundere about it. He'd put it on the inside of his altmode, or in a secret drawer in his habsuite, where he keeps all the trinkets his S/O ever gave to him. He secretly gets incredibly flustered and hates it.

Jettwins - They put on the most amazing air show for their S/O and any other spectators at the event. The humans can express themselves freely because they chose and fought for it, and that is admirable! They'd both want a sticker and would wear it proudly. Jetstorm would put it on his face and realize his mistake when it wouldn't come off.

Arcee - She is delighted they are expressing and sharing who they are with the world. She does worry somewhat at first, since she has reviewed the history of Pride, the reason why it exists and what the community at large is facing. She does join the festivities and educates participants on different subjects, agreeing to become a regular part of the local Community Center. She wears a permanent decal after working with the humans for half a year or so, and makes each Pride especially fun for her S/O. The parades and protests are always a place where the two of them can be found.

Blurr - He is happy for them and after doing research on the history of it, he accompanies his S/O to events. He finds a way to become a yearly addition to the security team, and occasionally joins his S/O in the festivities while in his holoform.

Pride headcanons: S/O that is questioning

Optimus - He tries researching with them and Sari in between missions and free time, but has a hard time separating the different terms. Is very supportive and takes special care in paying attention to what his S/O says.

Ratchet - He researches things with Sari and on his own, so he can talk with his S/O and see what they’d be comfortable with trying. Is reassuring and gentle to them and yaps at anyone who makes mistakes/hurtful comments aimed at his S/O.

Bumblebee - Is excited for them and helps make them feel pumped and excited about their search. He's quick to adapt when they want to try a new name and/or pronouns, or a new look.

Bulkhead - He gives his thoughts and suggestions when they explain some terms for identities/sexualities, based on what he’s seen of them. He has an eye for details, and let’s his S/O know that they are loved no matter what they discover about themself.

Prowl - He's very supportive and wants his S/O to feel good and comfortable with who they are. So he does research as well as

Jazz - He is supportive, but tells his S/O that they don't have to rush into figuring it out right away. He is also really good at taking in information and using it, so he's good with keeping up with his S/O's research.

Sentinel - He understands the need to know where his S/O stands, but is baffled that they don’t have it figured out already. Is frustrated alongside them and doesn’t do research with them, because the information is confusing and he’s got important things to do. Not more important than his S/O, he lets them know that, but he IS leader of the Elite Guard and that comes with responsibilities. Is going to be insufferable to anyone who so much as looks at his S/O weird.

Jettwins - Individuality is not something celebrated on Cybertron, so they are very excited about their S/O figuring themself out, and absolutely want to learn alongside them.

Arcee - Offers support and lots of love and reading materials. Makes the discovering of different identities and sexualities and anything her S/O wants to know about the community in general fun, and always reminds them that there is no rush or need to feel pressured to stick with a label if they find out it doesn’t quite fit.

Blurr - He has the info that is relevant to his S/O saved and stored away so he can offer suggestions to his S/O on where to start looking if they don’t know what exactly they are curious about/only know they are different somehow.
