Summary; Cole finally realizes he loves the reader when she’s the one he looks for during an attack.

Warning(s); None that I can think of

It happened very quick. First Cole looked at you as a simple caregiver for baby Wu, the next he wondered- “why am I feeling this?”

When the storm hit the bounty and all thrusters were damaged that sent the bounty hurling towards Earth, Coles first instinct was to look for you and baby Wu. He hadn’t seen either of you for nearly two hours, so his body had went into both defensive and panic mode,

His feet are quick to slide into the room baby Wu was placed for his nap, the rough rocking of the bounty having caused Cole to nearly slam into the wall beside him.

Then he sees you, curled into the corner with baby Wu wailing against your front, head ducked to protect the infant.

Which results to you not seeing the shelf sliding in your direction. Cole is quick to rush forward and slide in front of you, both arms out to catch the shelf, thankful to the elemental gods for his super strength in that moment,

Cole kneels down to get a better grip on the shelf, turning his body so the shelf laid against his back and his eyes could scan your figure and the babies, “You okay?”

You nod, quickly, and flinch at the loud crack of thunder that erupted through the patter of the rain.

“The bounty’s going to crash land,” Cole breathes, rushed as your eyes flick back up to his in terror. At the rough jerk of the ship, you pressed yourself further into the wall, arms tightening around Wus bundled figure,

Cole grunts and shoves the shelf to the other side of the room, moving forward to curl his own arms around you, the sudden impact of the bounty meeting the ground causing you and him to both yell out, Coles body pressing you into the wall enough to know neither you nor Wu would get thrown around.

At the stillness and silence of the ship, you slowly lift your head from where it pressed to Coles chest, Cole leaning back enough to look down at where Wu peered out from your uniform, then up to the ninja of Earth.

Cole exhales, breathlessly, forehead knocking against yours as his eyes shut, then he completely pulls back, standing up with slow movements before helping you to your feet.

“Oh, good!” Nya relieves when you and Cole appear in her vision, Kai taking baby Wu, “You three are okay,”

This is when the team (Family) have a movie night for comfort, and yes bumblebee is the one giving her all the cuddles 🥰

The next day tho the team goes off at the “partner” and that was the last mic saw them. The team made them move away, because the bots (*cough* *cough* mainly bumblebee) threatened him to never hurt mic or anyone else, or he is dead.

The whole team/Family cares for mic because the team sees her as . . . According to

He had been on a patrol when he caught you with your partner. You had been reclusive, lately, so he had intended on catching up to you two to talk and catch up.

When he saw you accidentally bump your partner’s arm, spilling their coffee onto their own shirt, he was surprised when their expression turned so sour.

“Are you stupid? Watch where you’re fucking going,” they had yelled, shoving you to the side. You tripped from the force of it, landing on your ass.

“You better clean this shirt when we get home-” “Is that any way to talk to them,” Optimus asked as he pulled up beside you two. He transformed, giving your partner a harsh glare. They paled.

“I-” “You… were apologizing,” Optimus offered, making their jaw snap shut. The Autobot grunted, reaching down to help you up.

“I think I’ll be taking them home, instead,” he growled, transforming and opening his driver’s side door for you.

You looked between the open cab, and your furious partner. Hurriedly, you ran into Optimus’ cab. The door slammed shut behind you, and Optimus took off as fast as he legally could.

“Are you alright,” he asked, tone immediately going to the careful one he always took with you. You sighed, running a hand through your hair.

“… Can I stay at the base for a while?” “Of course”.

I like to see TFA Optimus as a father figure and nothing more sooo fluff headcanons for a fatherly TFA Optimus if that makes sense?

(Both of these were in the inbox so I’ll just combine these two)

When he finds out you view him as a father figure he’s a bit confused but also super honored.

He’s a little nervous at first because he’s never raised a sparkling/kid and he’ll try to read up on Earth parenting (even if you’re an adult).

He becomes pretty protective and will scold you in a very fatherly manner if you do something wrong/something that could hurts you.

Best hugs! If you tell him you need a hug because you’re feeling down prepare yourself for the warmest hug.

If you need a ride to school/work he’s happy to drop you off and pick you up and then listen to how your day went.

If people hit on you while he’s around be prepared for papa bear mode to kick in. He’ll pull them aside and ask what their intentions are and try to judge if they’ll treat you right.

If he finds out about dad jokes be prepared for him to make a couple of those occasionally.

Always gets you a gift for your birthday/Christmas (usually something you mentioned wanting/needing).

If you have a date with someone he’ll insist on meeting them to make sure they’re safe (he’s just worried his new kid might get hurt).

The first time you slip up and call him dad he’s confused and a little bit panicked but once he gets used to it he’ll just smile.

Will definitely help you with school/work projects as best as he can (if you’re both stumped he’ll take it to Ratchet).

Weak resistance to puppy dog eyes. You wanna keep an animal that followed you to the base and he says absolutely not? Puppy eyes and he’ll give in.

Will often praise you for the stuff you do and tell you he’s very proud of you.

If someone bullies you at school/work then he will confront them at their own home, they apologize the next day and don’t bully you anymore.

If you get a pic of you two made he’ll keep it in either his room or in his subspace.
