So, On Twitter A Post Was Made Asking People What Theyre Hot Takes On Obey Me Are And Most Of The Responses

So, on twitter a post was made asking people what they’re hot takes on Obey Me are and most of the responses were valid criticisms. But then people started tweeting about how all the criticisms were mean and weren’t valid and we’re just being hateful to be hateful (I looked through every response and that wasn’t the case). Then the OP was essentially forced to delete the tweet because people were being mean to them.

Is this fandom really so sensitive to criticisms about their precious little gacha game that they deem any criticism bad? People are allowed to be mad about the way Solmare is being and the direction they’re going with Obey Me. I know I’m mad about it. They way the ditched the OG, never publicly told us that they were, never told us about daily chats ending in OG, never told us that birthday events would stop, the way they’re putting so much shit behind paywalls in NB, the way they forced players to start over from square 1 just to milk more money. These are all valid criticisms and were all mostly shared in the responses to the original tweet. If the fandom can’t be vocal about all the things wrong with Solmare/Obey Me there won’t be any improvements. If Solmare can’t hear these criticisms because fans are being harassed into deleting their hot takes from the internet, then Solmare will continue on the path they’re on and Obey Me is going to crash and burn.

I love obey me. I wouldn’t have dedicated every day of the past 3 years of my life to playing it, collecting merch, writing fan fic, and being apart of this community if i didn’t love it. I want to see it flourish and thrive for many more years. But Solmare HAS to understand what they’re doing is wrong and that the fans don’t like it. Otherwise, Obey Me might as well have been dead on arrival when Nightbringer came out.
