bucky was really confused more than anything when he started disappearing. he roamed the dust realm in the stone for days just confused as hell surrounded by strangers also confused as shit. a few times he’ll think he spots someone familiar but they’ll just end up being another stranger. and hes back to just roaming around aimless. and then one day he thinks he spots sam but he doesnt wanna get his hopes up so he just stands there staring but then they turn to the side and IT IS SAM!! and he starts running to him, unadultered joy on his face, and sam is caught off guard for a second like who the fuck is charging at me in Here???? lmfao but then he realizes its bucky and hes so happy to see him and then they hug :) and this happened. it was canon. thanks for coming to my ted talk
