Something I made for a 2d design class

This is all cut from one piece of black paper and it's all connected

No I don't know how it turned out so well

This was the first time I've done this kind of thing in a long time and I'm so proud of myself

The assignment was to do something with symmetry so I chose all might

On the left, the background is shapes from his hero costumes to show that even when skinny he's still a hero, and I tried to make them all point down

On the right, the background is his scar to show how that injury is always in the background and is always affecting him

However I did give both sides a smile to show that he's still the same person no matter what form he's in

So for my senior project in high school , I decided to research the history of female comic book characters and why it is that they are very skimpily dressed Because I had to do an art component for that project, I decided to design a team of female heroes with practicality being the main goal. This team was created in collaboration with an irl friend 1) The first hero is a batman type hero named Silver Steamer (mostly I just call her Sam). She has no powers but is really good at engineering things for her team. She is also slightly addicted to caffeine and is known to pull many all nighters just to finish projects. 2) the second hero is the magic user. Her name is Mystic Mage (Misty for short). She is the most serious member of the group. Usually she's the one to force Sam to actually sleep. Her magic powers come from the gems on her headband and dress, and has a pair of earrings with the same gems on them for casual wear in case she needs to defend herself when not in costume 3) the third character is the speedster of the group. We haven't satisfactorily come up with a hero name for this character, just the civilian name of April. She's the youngest member of the group. Apart from running really fast, Sam made her electric gauntlets as another form of attack (that's what the thing in the center of her palm is) 4) the fourth hero is a water hero. Her name is Crimson Marauder (most of the time I just call her pirate). She has some control over water, as well as being able to hold her breath for a really long time. She can be a bit impulsive and immature at times but hurt her friends and she will put on the serious face. Her costume is a wetsuit with a jacket on top (the jacket comes off if she needs to swim) 5) the fifth and final hero is the tank character Equinox. She gets stronger in with light and weaker with darkness. Her costume has weights at the wrists for more power behind her punches and knee pads in case she needs to knee anyone in the face (fun fact, the padding elements of her costume were based on deku's costumes from my hero academia)
