hot artists don't gatekeep
I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard
Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.
Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.
Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.
Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.
SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.
SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.
Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.
Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.
Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.
Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.
Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
i need the help of crocheters everywhere!!!
im making a shawl for my best friend and i found a lovely pattern for it. the thing is, i only got about half way through when i lost the pattern!!!
and let me tell ya its like this thing dropped of the face of the earth.
i found it the first time by scouring google for like an hour and it was just perfect. there was a yourube tutorial for it and im nearly positive that the title was something like
‘beginner crochet shawl tutorial’
but i swear im going insane cause ive been searching for weeks for this thing. it was a simple pattern that was a mix of double crochets and singles with some front and back post stitches in there.
it was a triangle shawl but im 100% certain it was not a granny square style one and it didnt have big gaps in it either, its meant to be warm, so i dont believe there were really any treble crochets in there either. and it was not a one or two row repeat situation either. there was like 5-7 row repeats to give it cool texture.
i remember there was apart of the video that paused on the rows to repeat as well and it was like a written part on the screen.
even if this pattern was completely deleted off the internet, i would like to know so i can at least frog and start over with a different pattern, cause its driving me insane. i just need to know
please help me find this pattern!!!

heres part of it so it can be compared
i remember adults telling me, as a kid, to listen to doctors and get my flu vaccine and any shots i could because they remembered Before.
then they started fighting Covid precautions.
i remember adults telling me, as a kid, that the ozone was disappearing and the earth was dying and we needed to recycle and save the planet.
now my parents think climate change is a myth.
i remember adults telling me, as a kid, that racism was a plague, that we had to love and accept everyone, that we should never judge before walking a mile in their shoes.
then they told me that protesting for my Black siblings was wrong.
i remember adults telling me, as a kid, that we needed to give to the poor. working at soup kitchens. making quilts. collecting food and money and supplies. building houses. because it was the christian and just plain right thing to do.
now they look at me, on food stamps with their grandchildren, and lament the "welfare state".
i remember adults telling me, as a kid, that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven and that any rich man, especially an immoral one, should never run our country.
you can guess who they voted for.
i remember adults telling me, as a kid, so very much.
when did they forget?
