Hey folks

does anyone know a way to get an idea of whether my neuro diverged that doesn't require like. Talking to a professional or anything? Just a way to have a vague knowledge of the chances?

I want to know whether I'm just weird or if there's a reason for that

Hey whoever cursed me with having fun ideas for things, no skill to make the things, and no time to develop the skills to make the things, explain your actions.

please?

It's OC lore time again feckers

Time to learn about aliens

These folks are called Thirlens, and they're body is black goop. Their face is white, and if they've got some sort of serious conflict or other issue there might be multiple faces scattered across the goop. The typically wear suits that cover the whole of their form, with a mask over the main face. The current style is greyscale, but it varies.

Thirlens reproduce when one or more shed a drop of their form and the drops mix, making a new lil person with traits of all parents. This system has resulted in monogamy being less the norm, with more of a 'whatever works for you' attitude.

Thirlens lack dimorphism, but when learning the language of a species with genders they'll typically pick the pronouns they feel suit them best. Culture where baking is masculine + baker Thirlen = He/Him Thirlen. Most Thirlens would by human standards be panromantic and asexual.

Thirlens originated when the first, typically known as The Queen, came into being under unknown circumstances. She shed a drop and told this new Thirlen to explore the planet and return, and from those two came the line from which all Thirlens descend. By the time story stuff happens they're in a post-scarcity society.

Thirlens can only be killed by strong acid or suns, so they mostly fear things like accidents in space travel because just being alive forever in the void of space sounds like a shit time

Time to learn about OCs, class

So if you've not seen my post about Thirlens either track that down or tell me how to link a post, because the ones discussed here are Thirlens.

They'll be introduced with pronouns, but that's just what they use in English, they've still got their own stuff going on.

Alice (she/her) is the child or Simon (he/him) Elizabeth (she/he) and Edmund (xe/xem). And that situation ended up being a bit of a mess. Ya see, even though this world had gotten to the point you didn't need income or a fancy job or anything, there was still a great deal of prestige placed on government work. Meanwhile, Simon's an ambitious lil fecker, so he's acting as a bit of a workaholic. At first, things are still alright on the homefront, but Elizabeth begins to feel like Simon's focusing more on himself then the overall family unit. This eventually results in a big 'fuck you' moment, before Elizabeth joins some space exploration program (this is sci-fi, it's slightly less insane for them). Shortly after, his ship disappears and Simon feels like that's all his fault (justifiably). Unfortunately, he goes entirely the wrong direction, going all "oh woe is me, my partner is dead by mine own hand, whatever shall I do with myself" while there's still like. A whole other partner and a child who just lost someone too. Simon's kind of a jerk, as you can likely see. Edmund eventually leaves him, and while custody is shared, Simon has the larger share because of the prestige of his government work.

As Alice starts to grow up, she becomes interested in also working in similar fields, due to the fact that one parents been missing most of her life, one vaguely supports her no matter what, leaving the last box unchecked the dumpsterfire who keeps getting promoted (yeah he ends up leading a coup). Around the time he's about the third most important official a mission comes up to see if some planet would be decent to conquer (Thirlens aren't typically warlike, but Simon's up to some late 20th century CIA shit). It's earth, and Alice volunteers for the hope of parental pride, and gets shipped off.

Shortly after she arrives, she wanders into a restaurant with Dialtone (first OC I discussed, please do tell me if I can link posts or something) and speedruns what she thinks is friendship, because she's new here. Dialtone is then kidnapped by thugs from her original place of employment, rescued by Alice, and they end up being roommates.

It got two notes, good enough

The story starts with him, ya know, coming into existence. I'll be for this using Midnight Motorist Orange Guy as William's father. 'That Place' is Fredbears Family Diner, a beloved family business (not the Aftons, we'll get to that). Young William had, as you see in the minigame, a pretty miserable home life, so whenever he had the money saved he would go the Fredbears. They had good food, low prices, and sometimes they would show a cartoon from a previous generations attempt to break into animation (based on the old fliers you can find in ruin). Time went on, William grew up, but he was unable to attend college due to a lack of anywhere affordable nearby. Despite this, he had some degree of savings, so when he saw a 'going out of business' sign in the Fredbears window, he decided for lack of a better plan to try to save his childhood safe place.

And for a time, it worked! He'd been loving this place as long as he could remember, of course he had ideas. He added another character, Springbonnie, and made suits of the characters so a kid could get their birthday cake served by Fredbear himself. Some local tragedy orphaned three children, but he was at this point doing well financially and beloved by the town, so he adopted them (there's never mention of him having a partner in the games, and this leads to the children further being a symbol of the good times in his life).

And then

Another business opens. And this one doesn't have suits, with all their handmade charm. It's got Machines, and the children are too excited by these sudden new character to care about the jerkier movements, the lack of human touch. Things turn for the worse at Fredbears, until eventually William too must prepare to end this place of joy. Only for Henry Emily, the bastard who started the new joint to offer to buy, with William as an equal partner! He doesn't know the tears and anger he brought, he thinks himself simply a fellow restaurateur! And the fact he didn't even know makes William all the angrier.

Despite this, from the outside things looked amiable enough for a time. William was willing to try spring-lock suits, it was better than full animatronics. And then the situation degraded.

The bite of '83.

It wasn't enough for Henry to take his restaurant, now one of his children was dead! It wasn't logical, yes, but neither was William at this point. He began to fall into drink, and the town began to worry. And then, one night, he was driving through town. He had had several drinks, but it's been established he wasn't particularly reasonable. He turned into the street The New Fredbears was on, and he saw her. Henry's daughter, alone in the cold and rain. Even he was later unable to recall whether it was rage or drink that turned the wheel, but his car took a turn. He hastily threw the body into an alley and hurried along his way, but he couldn't help but notice how he felt. This joy was rather unlike what he'd had before, a darker thing. Bloodier. If he couldn't have Fredbears as it should be, if he couldn't have safe children, why should anyone?

Feel free to tell me how I did. This isn't a theory or anything, it's just a way I think his whole thing could make a bit more sense

Also, I wrote this from kind of a semi-Afton perspective? describing things as he saw them, with all the spite that would go with it

Hey anyone wanna hear how I'd improve the character of William Afton if that power was given to me despite the obvious foolishness of doing so
