i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?

This is fucking important. I am glad someone fucking spoke about this and said what they had to say. The damage is terrible, and all the evergreen, stone, even the ground is black. I was fucking terrified when Croatia was burning. The fire was near a village where I like and I thought it will burn down. I thought the church will burn down. I thought the cemetery where my grandpa is buried will burn. I still remember the smell of smoke, and when I went to check how bad is fire, my clothes and hair and skin all stunk of smoke. It didn’t go away for weeks.

Personality: Harper is a tough, headstrong troublemaker (not handing in homework, getting into fights etc). She is very introverted and secretive, as she doesn’t like people). She is cold but she does honestly try her hardest to be a good daughter and a good role model to her younger sister.

Likes: She enjoys spending her free time playing video games, on all devices, she also secretly loves board games and doing jigsaw puzzles with her little sister. The only subject she enjoys in school is art. She mostly spends her time on the internet looking up walk through to games she gets stuck on and finally she adores animals, as she doesn’t like to talk to people she mostly spends time with her pet.

Dislikes: For reasons described later on she has a strong disliking to people and being sociable. As she is headstrong she despises being the damsel in distress, aka being helped/ saved by others. She doesn’t like being pitied by others because of how many times she’s called to the principals office. She doesn’t like horror because she’s secretly afraid, though she’d never admit it.

BACKSTORY

Describe their backstory:

Harper always had a perfect life, she had a loving mother and father, an adorable pet. She was always a quiet child so she didn’t have a large group of friends only some close ones. When Harper reached the age of 5 her parents started noticing that she would wake up very tired and with huge bags under her eyes. One night her Dad stayed with her and in the middle of said night was awoken by a large scream. He awoke to see Harper crying her eyes out, she explained about having a nightmare about a dark creature who was chasing her and ate her. Her father assured her it was just a nightmare but stayed with her the next night to make sure she didn’t have any nightmares, but yet again he was awoken by Harper’s scream. Her parents took her to the doctors who suggested she try some weak sleeping pills. However these didn’t work, after trying a variety of pills they found some that would work for her however she would have lucid nightmares of the same creature and wake up in the middle of the night. As she was getting more sleep each night, she began to ignore the nightmares. Her lack of sleep began to affect her behaviour and she began to push away her close friends, from always being in a bad mood and snapping easily.

Harper’s family decided to move to London as her situation wasn’t getting any better and she had started getting bullied by her old friends. She was brought half-way through the year in school and was bullied for the huge bags she had under her eyes, which she didn’t care to cover with makeup, as she grew the comments started sticking with her more frequently and she started avoiding social situations and even to the point where she wouldn’t speak for fear that someone was judging her. Her parents started to notice that anytime they went to a restaurant and she was asked to order she would begin to sweat and her face would go red, she would also sometimes start shaking. As it began to affect her school work her parents took her to the school nurse to ask for advice.

As her parents kept having meetings with the head teacher and teachers people she began to get labelled as the “Troubled child”. One day she was being picked on by this black haired boy, who for no reason she knew had started tripping her and calling her names, and she had decided she had enough. Harper grabbed the boy by the collar and threatened him to leave her alone, everyone who had been backing him up had immediately shut up and stared at her. She made a decision that she would rather be feared than be bullied and doing nothing about it. Once her parents found out about her “bullying” the boy they were very upset with her.

When Harper reached the age of 13, her younger sister was born into the world and became the light in her world. When ever she was upset or stressed she would come and talk to her sister.

One the outside in school she would act like a troubled, care-free and rude person who wouldn’t stand down from a fight, however on the inside she was fearful and a scaredy cat. Every action she did she would instantly regret it. Eventually she would get into so many fights that the school and her parents decided it would be good for her to have weekly meeting with the school nurse to “fix her act”

She made it her goal to stand up for herself but to also make her parents proud of her and to get good grades so she could go to university and get a degree in computer programming so she could become a game developer.

It can’t be healthy to be in love with someone as much as I am in love with Young K!
