A four panel comic in mostly black and white, using a thick shape-based style similar to linocut. The first panel shows a crooked tail wrapped in a bandage. The second panel shows a body and one clawed foot. The third panel shows a reptilian face with large, round eyes and lots of spikes. The final panel shows the full snake-like creature, a lindworm, in a twisted position but with a smiling face. It is looking up at a yellow star and is surrounded by smaller stars. The first half of the text is aligned with the first three panels, while the second half is on the last panel. The text increases in size when it repeats. The text reads "I am a feeble, crawling, half-blind thing; but I am alive, alive, alive".
