Something about Jane Prentiss and centipedes. That one line in mag 32 when she speaks about how she used to say she was a witch and hid who she really was. How her friends had called her toxic. How lonely she became. Centipedes are solitary creatures, defensive, poisonous. And they eat worms. Jane didn’t want to accept this lonely road she was heading towards she wanted love, a love like no one could ever understand. And while centipedes may eat wasps, they’ll always crumble against an entire hive.
