first of all, I used a reference! I like intimate scenes for couples and it can get difficult to keep track of all the limbs from scratch. I tend to start with a ref and adjust it to my preferences or look them up as I go.

I usually do a very rough trace to get a starting point or eyeball it and move stuff around until I’m happy. during the lines I made them a lil bit more intimate cause I love drawing couples with their faces real close together. (we lost the height difference but it’s fine, she’s standing on a box) for Yumi’s (tall girl) face I used a clip studio head model and adjusted all the proportions to fit her facial features and my style :)

I think having a couple focused exclusively on each other, completely ignoring the viewer is the secret sauce to intimate scenes! for me, at least. Having a slightly different tilt of their heads helps too!

when I do them from scratch, I tend to look up references for hands, arms, angles etc... anything I’m having trouble with,really! hope this makes sense!
