The worst thing you can do, as someone who has recently realised they are transfem, is to let terves and transphobes convince you cis women will never accept you.

I was told that when I came out everyone would reject me. That I would find myself isolated from the world, and from other women especially, who would react to me with horror and revulsion.

In reality, within the first months of coming out, in no particular order:

My sister's reaction on my coming out was, "Right, so I have a sister instead of a brother. Cool. I'm taking you clothes shopping tomorrow."

A friend, when she learned I am a woman, immediately invited me to her women-only, girls-night-out birthday party the following week.

Another friend, when a friend of hers expressed doubts about my gender, immediately shut them down and reaffirmed I am a woman.

I went camping with a group of friends, and we had two tents, one for the boys and one for the girls; I was unsure as to which I should enter, to which a girl friend responded by grabbing me and physically dragging me inside the women's tent.

In the women's bathroom at a movie theatre a random woman, whom I'd never seen before and haven't seen since, stopped me as I was going into a stall, to warn me there was no toilet paper in there, because she'd just used the last of it.

All of these, and more, some from friends, some from complete strangers. All within a few months, as a trans woman who hadn't started medical transition yet, and was very visible as being a trans woman.

I've had some people reject me, true, but the vast majority, including almost all cis women, accepted me as a sister with open arms.

Cis women are cool. It's terves who are bigots.

My own personal headcanon that has absolutely no basis is that Yoko knows Enid likes girls far before Enid does. She can just tell Enid has a crush on Wednesday but doesn’t say anything because she wants Enid to explore her sexuality on her own, discover herself, and be completely comfortable without feeling pressured or expected. And she wants Enid to tell her herself, to be able to trust her with that kind of information.

Basically, Yoko listens to Enid rant about Wednesday constantly, thinks “these bitches are gay, good for them” and then internally rolls her eyes whenever Enid says “I care cause we’re roommates! And friends!” She’s doing her best to be the supportive friend and she deserves all the love.

Bonus: Yoko trying to discreetly get them to realize their feelings for each other with Thing. Thing and Yoko become very good friends after bonding over the fact that Enid and Wednesday are so uselessly gay/pos. They absolutely watch horror shows together and laugh at bad acting. Also manicures.

summary. just another day of jay being the perfect husband boyfriend, always knowing what to do – for example when you get your period at night

warnings. reader is on a period, blood mentioned bc she accidentally stained the bed (dw jay is very sweet abt it :( ), cramps (idk if it counts as a warning lol), cursing

when you wake up, everything is alright at first. the sun is gently peeking through your curtains, you feel warm and jay’s arm is thrown over your tummy.

that’s when you realise something’s off. with a sudden sharp pain in your lower abdomen you gently move his hand away and push off the duvet only to notice a bloody stain on your bed.

“oh no” you connect the dots (and also why you were craving so much chocolate lately) “oh no, please… fuck!”

you stand up but your cramps are not helping either. with a hiss you massage your temple, trying to think what to do. you won’t be able to change the sheets as long as jay is sleeping on them but–

the said boy grunts in his sleep, slowly waking up.

you put back the duvet in panic, hoping he won’t notice the stain and sit down on the edge, trying to keep your cool.

“where’d you go…” jay’s deep, morning voice causes you to so shiver and you look at him over your shoulder, rubbing his eyes

he reaches out for you but you dodge, standing up.

“i, uh–” you stutter and he’s fully awake right now, his instincts spot on “i got my period and– uh…”

“hey, relax” jay’s features soften as he sits, hair sticking in every direction

“no, no i stained the bed. i’m sorry. you can go eat some breakfast i’ll clean it up–” you mumble and play with the hem of the duvet.

“what? are you kidding? angel, look at me…” he hums and you do, a sudden wave of guilt washing over you, tears prickling your eyes “hey, no, don’t cry”

“you must feel so grossed out, i’m sorry–” you sniff and sit on the edge of the bed. jay moves his legs in one swift move and sits next to you, one hand around your waist and the other at the back of your head pulling you closer.

“i’m not grossed out. it’s alright. it’s normal, such things happen. you’re feeling a little overwhelmed right now, i get it, but there’s nothing to be ashamed of” his soft voice calms you down as he caresses his fingers through your hair “you go freshen up, okay? i’ll make something to eat in a meanwhile”

“but the bed–” you murmur and he placed a soft kiss on top of your hair.

“don’t worry about it. i’ll help you clean it once you change in fresh clothes, hm?” he smiles and you look him in the eye, heart beating a little too fast.

“m’kay. love you” you hum and smile, causing him to sigh in relief. he hates seeing you cry, no matter the reason.

and when you come back, after a long warm bath and in fresh clothes, the sheets are already changed and jay is humming underneath his breath while preparing breakfast in the kitchen.
