First time he started respecting or catching feelings for you was when you made food for him!! After all, a way into a guys- well, inosuke's is food.

You saw how he'd always take Zenitsu and Tanjiro's food, but never yours. So you made extra just for him! He really just straight up looked at you like you were an anomaly to how he's been treated, and the white fluff balls floating around him. Zenitsu actually screamed at him with crying and snotting and everything saying, “STOP STEALING ALL THE GIRLS!!!!!”

He liked you before, and he likes you even more now.

You're the one person he doesn't want to fight but protect you.

Just like today.

You had all gotten back from a mission, and he was severely injured.

While you were on the mission, a demon was about to kill you but Inosuke had jumped in and took the hit for you.

“Don't say that Inosuke, you know well you saved me. The least I can do is be with you..” You said back with a soft tone. You didn't really wanna scold him for saying that if it weren't for his injuries.

“forever..? you're not gonna leave me?” He had said in a way softer tone he could've never imagined speaking in.

You thought about it for a moment.

“Yeah, I'll never leave. I'm always gonna be with you in some way or another.”

His smile had softened in a way that convinced your heart to do flips.

The night sky stretched endlessly, a sea of stars shimmering like distant whispers of light. A gentle breeze stirred the cherry trees, sending sakura petals drifting into the air. They danced in the moonlight, soft and pink, caught in the silvery glow of the crescent moon. The quiet path beneath them, lined with fallen blossoms, led beside a stream that mirrored the stars above. For anyone passing by, it was a moment where time seemed to pause, with only the stars, the petals, and the peaceful hum of the night.

At that moment, the Mist Hashira found himself in an isolated tranquil location, a path bordered by sakura trees. The petals gently swayed and floated in the air, dancing in the dim moonlight. As he stood there, a subtle breeze washed over him, carrying the sweet scent of the blossoms. Just on the side, a quiet stream mirrored the night sky, making every petal that landed on it shine like a star. With a blank expression, he silently observed the scenery, taking in every detail, like a painting unfolding before his eyes.

You watched from the shadows, captivated by Muichiro Tokito’s calm presence. When his eyes met yours, a faint blush crept across his cheeks before he quickly turned away. “I didn’t realize you were watching,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He glanced back, still slightly flustered. “It’s... distracting.” Your heart raced, caught off guard by this rare glimpse of emotion from him under the stars.

“Oh..sorry for startling you, I was admiring the view.” You said with the same red hue spreading across your cheeks. The view you really were admiring was him. And how beautiful he looked under the moonlight as it shone down on the both of you.

You sat down just a few centimeters infront of him, gazing upon the luminous stars and just one silvery moon emitting a light that lit up everything.

Muichiro sat right down next to you, but instead at looking at the night sky, he was looking at you. You and you only.

Because in his eyes, you were the only one, that stood out to him.

The most beautiful one, and captivating to him. In every single way possible as well.

He loved the way you didn't mind his amnesia, so he tried to remember you name the most. He also loved the way you spoke to him, with a soft and gentle voice that filled his ears with your melodious voice.

He put his hand on yours, as your hand was a contrast to his. His more rough one, against your soft and scarless hand.

He would make sure you didn't have a single scar on any part of your body, because he would protect you.

You looked right back into his eyes, with a slight agape mouth as he interwined his fingers into yours. It was a perfect fit.

“I've..been meaning to tell you something for a long, long time..I've tried my best to remember this and I think I'm going to.” Muichiro had spoken softly against your cheek.

Your eyes opened ever so slightly as he said that. What could he be telling you? Was it...no it couldn't be, he wouldn't love you back, would he?

He took that silence as a indication to go on, and spoke once again with the same tone that was as light as a feather.

“I can't get my mind off you which is quite a surprise because I usually can't remember anything. Later this week, I asked Kanroji what this feeling was and she said it was...Love? She told me to confess to you in the most beautiful place possible. And I think this is it, I like you. Will you return my feelings?” He said looking into your eyes with his blue ones so lovingly, it was almost hard for someone or anyone to say no.

You couldn't say anything as you were speechless. But you mustered up the courage and spoke back with the same tone but just a little more determined.

“I..like you too.”

The words had flown away into the night as you spoke them.
