She arrived at the Flavian Amphitheatre when she was just a kitten and she spent the past decade protecting the place from mice, birds and the tourists who tried to pet her. She had been nicknamed “the last panther of the Colosseum” because of her black fur and fierce temperament.

This reminds me a lot of the first video game series I was really exposed to: MYST. The way they handled lighting and detail back then looked so beautifully dark yet realistic, it makes me wonder why we seem to have moved away from the style in modern games.

A zero-effort clipshow of the technology from Aura: Fate of the Ages, which immediately sparked a love for a fantasy aesthetic that kid me would never be able to find again.

Oh, also a few clips from its sequel, Aura II: The Sacred Rings. It’s a pretty odd sequel, moved away from what I loved about the original, but still had a few neat things worth tossing in.
