Yugioh twin au: Shenanigans pt.2

Ok as I mentioned in my last post, yugi had some trouble sleeping. And that got me thinking; what would the twins sleep patterns be like? Yugi has a good sleeping pattern (not counting the time of his nightmares) and doesn't really rely on stuff like melatonin. It's the same with atem, up until high school he always has good grades but to achieve this and still have time to play his shadow games he'd some times stay up at night.

Both of them have/had tried caffeine based drinks. In yugis case he once had hot milk with instant coffee(very little of it) but doesn't really drink it often. Téa/anzu invited him once out to a new ice cream shop and she's picked up on the fact that he loves sweets but hates how regular coffee tastes. But recommends a coffee caramel ice cream. He's skeptical at first but falls in love with it.

As for atem he's never had coffee. He likes the smell of it tho, he has candles that smell like coffee. And he passes by coffee shops to and from school just because the smell makes him feel happy. On a particularly bad day he got into fight and it landed him into trouble at school. The punks threatened to beat him after school, so to avoid that(so that he wouldn't get into more trouble) he past by the coffee shop only for it to be close. The punks from before are following him too, he'd hoped that the coffee shop would have a lot people so that the punks would leave and not cause a scene. Unfortunately that didn't happen he lead them somewhere less noticeable and a fight brakes out and just as it seems things will go bad Joey/jonouchi intervenes and helps out. The punks run off leaving Joey/jonouchi and atem to talk where he finds out that the yugi has a twin. He mistook atem for yugi, the two of them get talking about how they both know yugi and go to a park. Joey/jonouchi leaves for bit going to get some band-aids and a coffee for atem. That day he and Joey/jonouchi became good friends.

Crips for eSims for Gaza is a collaboration between Jane Shi, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, and Alice Wong.

Recently went to an event that if twisted wonderland based. The event were called cup sleeves, the former host recently retired but fortunately some one has rose up to take their place. Now they will be called broom sleeve events. Updates are on Instagram.

A run down: in these events vendors from Instagram and other social media will set up at the venue(a tea shop that has agreed to help host the event) in the shop it self the organizers will set up a collection table that be decorated with the two birthday boys on the opposite side of each other. Some of those items will be raffled off and others belong to other individuals(so don't take them). At the end of the event we sing happy birthday to anyone who cosplayed the birthday boys and then we do the raffle.

There's a lot of fun things to do at these events I really recommend people who are into twisted wonderland attend. This event happens in california so if you live in the state I recommend checking out twst broom sleeves on Instagram.

Yu-Gi-Oh twin au; NIGHTMARES

As I mentioned before the twins moved and with it came adjusting to the new environment. Yugi in particular was bit of hassle. He was ok in the day, he'd act like his old usual self but as soon as nightfall hit and he'd to go to sleep he'd loose it. Yugi is by no means a screamer but he avoids sleep by asking everyone if they want to play a game or solve a puzzle, atem always jumps on the bandwagon before realizing yugi is just doing it to avoid sleep. Atem tries to understand what's going on but yugi doesn't tell him or anyone.

Eventually atem confronts yugi in the middle of the night and asks him what's wrong. When atem looks at yugis face he sees that he as big dark bags under his eyes. In truth yugi has been having nightmares where atem leaves into shadows and never comes back leaving yugi alone and helpless. These shadows had eyes and would whisper things in a different language that yugi couldn't understand but atem did for some reason and would walk into the shadows.

Atem sadden by this comforts his brother and reassures him that he would never leave him, he couldn't. Atem gives him one of his bracelets one of a matching set and says that no matter what he'll be there for him. No matter how far, no matter what time he'll be there for him, promise.

This however does lead to him becoming more protective of yugi. But that's a story for another night.
