Look at the parallel I noticed!

Whitebeard : I’m going to tell you the same thing I told Roger : « If you come asking me for help I get uncle privileges. »
Shanks : Wait wha?
WB crew : Pops, you can’t be the brat’s uncle and the brat’s brat uncle! You’re her grand uncle!
Marco : Ignore the crazy people over there. I’ll get you formula and baby clothes.
Shanks : Okay but what about the uncle stuff?
Marco : It’s too late for that. You should have know better than to show up here with a baby. At least you had enough common sense to not show up in front of Big Mom with her.
Film Red spoilers(?)
The fact that Shanks adopted little baby Uta when he was only 19 is so funny because now I can just imagine him showing up on the Moby Dick, knocking out half of Whitebeard's crew with Conquerer's Haki, looking him dead in the eye and going "Hey uh what the fuck do babies eat"
Why did they used KH ost to make a Pokémon joke?
Predictions for One Piece Red (okay it’s mostly Uta):
Uta is definitely an antagonist. Not necessarily the villain but definitely an antagonist.
She has some kind manipulation or hypnosis like ability through her songs.
DADDY ISSUES.
There’s a shitty manager / person of influence in her entourage. My money is on Kalifa.
Big Mom’s crew plays into her backstory.
She hates or at least strongly disapprove of pirates (see Daddy issues).
The weird shiny rainbow rocks we see in the background are either just the distinctive trait of that Island or they also play a huge part in the story.
The kids are here to represent the innocent earnest but broke fans compared to the ones that are willing to throw a lot of money at merchandise.
I kinda expect it’s going to go like that one episode in mlp : The mane attraction where AJ reunites with her friends turned popstar who’s being gaslighted by her manager. Except with more punching and trauma.
No one is going to mention that Brook is also a famous musician with a huge career.
I have delayed this LONG ENOUGH
It is time
For the world(outside of the TMNT g/t Server)to know.
About the Scrap Metal AU
SO
essentially this Au is just: Borrower Donnie
I’m writing a short(pun intended) fic for it (Donnie is extremely ooc mostly cuz I haven’t taken the time to analyze the characters in rise and take notes on how to portray them, BUT that’s not the point)
Anyways in the meantime take some doodles and silly little details abt the au:

(Not all of these doodles are mine btw, it’s a combination of doodles from me and an online friend on a whiteboard)
Donnie’s battle shell is made of exclusively purple legos that he melted together.
He was separated from his bros when Draxum’s lab exploded and Splinter thought he’d lost his fourth son (nOPE, he is still alive)
He wasn’t a borrower at first, the first few years of his life he grew up on the streets of the hidden city, stealing food and whatnot from street vendors to stay alive.
He found a mystic crystal one day and upon touching it BOOM tiny
Eventually after getting lost in the sewers in the human world, he finds the lair (and the other turtles/Splinter), and decides to stay there.
About 8 or so years pass by before they find out about him
He ends up ABSOLUTELY DESTROYING ALL OF LEO’S HIGH SCORES in the arcade one night and that’s how the name Don comes about (before that he just went by Purple)
April is the one who has the idea to call him Donatello (like the artist… LIKE HIS BROTHERS)
Anyways a little while after seeing how angry Leo is about this mysterious Don character beating all his Highscores, Donnie starts to get more cocky and eventually straight up gets caught.
Leo is the one who catches him
He doesn’t know what to do with the lil guy so he just kinda puts him in a jar
“Hey Bros look what I found”
“WTF LEO YOU DONT JUST PUT PEOPLE IN JARS”
He’s a borrower so SHIT BE LOUD so he made little noise canceling headphones to make shit quieter
His scarf is something he first found in the hidden city, it’s how he got the name Purple (the scarf was purple, and whenever he stole food from street vendors they would always curse him out and yell stuff at him using the name Purple)
My parents separated when I was 4 and my sister 2. My dad got to have us every two weeks for the weekends and half of the holidays. As soon as he got a serious girlfriend he stopped raising us, spent his entire weekend working and let his gf supervise us and decide what we would do on vacation etc. It didn’t help that she didn’t like us and had her own two kids a boy one year older than me and a daughter a year younger than me and favored them with her son being the Golden Child tm.
My mom left home at 7:30 am and got home by 9:30 pm at best but she never stopped to make an effort, she would asked about our days, she would make sure that my half brother (born 5 years after the divorce) had followed his treatment for his type 1 diabetes, and on the weekends she had with us she still continue to take care of us even if it was falling asleep watching Nemo for the 200th time.
Children can be tricked by the fun parent lame parent schtick but they can also see who puts in the effort and who doesn’t.
Anyone ever think about how the classic ‘dad gets custody on weekends’ arrangement that MRAs complain about is actually misogynistic? If one parent constantly gets you up in the mornings, often puts you in after school programs because she works, and only spends quality time with you when you’re both tired between work and bedtime, your relationship with that parent is gonna be strained. If one parent lets you sleep in and watch tv, never had to work and can spend all their time with you, you’re obviously going to prefer that parent. On top of that, it sets up a system where the mother has to do most of the actual ‘parenting’ such as taking kids to school, making sure they do homework, etc, while the dad mostly just hangs out with the kids. The dad doesn’t have to worry about the kids when he’s working, because in a way he functionally still has a wife to do that for him. I knew kids on this schedule whose dads didn’t make them do homework, didn’t enforce bedtime, basically any of the hard parts of parenting. Even in the best case scenario, the mom is still going to be seen as the ‘mean parent’ by the child, despite working 5 times as hard as the dad and having much more of a strain on her career and personal life than the dad.
Its really just the classic misogynistic "cool fun dad vs. frigid nagging mom" but for divorced parents and I hate it
