to many's surprise, THE kentaro "mad dog" kyotani was often okay with acts of affection in public, always holding your hand, or perhaps a strong arm around your waist or shoulder, pressing light kisses into your temple. he just enjoys it so much!

it was one of his ways of showing he loves you, as well as showing other's that you are clearly his. but it also showed his teammates how soft he was, which made his annoying captain point it out.

but for the most part, he paid no mind to it, grumbling out a "you're just jealous i can keep a girl," with a cute lil smirk on his face as he looks over at you to press another light kiss into your hair.

whenever you come to his games, whether it's a practice match or not, he always searches for you in the stands. and every time he spots you, without fail, he'll send you a smirk and wink at you. call it his way of being thankful that you're there for him.

cuddles with him? oh my god. he's big spoon, all the way. loves holding you close, fingers tangled in your hair as you're pressed up against him. his strong arms around you feel like heaven, for the both of you. to him, you're his safe place.

kyotani has a temper, though, it's never as violent around you as it is with other people. most times, you're able to calm him down in a split second, peppering kisses on his face, holding him tightly, or by just letting him go off and rant about what's been troubling him. and after he's had his tantrum, he'll (non verbally) BEG for more of your affection. he'll randomly lay on you or pull you into his figure if you're busy, keeping you in place if you ever tried to get away. his way of letting off steam, besides volleyball, was aggressively cuddling you, not that you really minded.

he's rarely sad, but sometimes after a game aoba johsai lost, he'll definitely get moody. he'll beat himself up a bit, but all he needs is you to be with him. your presence alone reminds him that he's enough. (likes to be little spoon during these times, but won't explicitly ask).

oh, and his eyes light up when you smile, or when he hears your adorable laugh. it makes him all mushy inside, butterflies overtaking his entire nervous system. he loves everything you do, every flaw you have, and GOD he is so in love with you. he doesn’t tell you because he isn’t that great with words, but he makes sure you always know that by the end of the day.

calls you the basic pet names (like babe, baby) but his FAVORITE is princess/prince. wants to make sure you know you're like royalty to him, he just values you so much.

- you and kaminari met while playing valorant during your second year in middle school (don’t ask me why ,,, just cause pewpew)

- you guys were talking in the vc a lot and joking around with each other, and you guys ended up giving each other your discords!

- you eventually started playing other multiplayer games like minecraft

- the two of you got along quite well and started texting each other. you guys began texting constantly and you considered him to be on of your best friends

- you found out he didn’t live that far from you and he kept trying to meet up with you. you really wanted to, but you were scared what your parents would do if they found out. you weren’t supposed to talk to people online. he understood and promised you guys would meet as soon as possible without getting you in trouble

- kaminari LOVED facetime/discord sleepovers. you guys would have them so much

- the way he confessed was so cute. imagine: you had a survival world the two of you would play on and while you were at school he built one of those cute rollercoaster things (something like this but instead it said ‘will you be my s/o) AND HE DID IT ALL IN SURVIVAL mans is dedicated and of course you said yes,,, who wouldn’t

- when you told him you wanted to be a hero he was ecstatic because he wanted to be one too. he thought your quirk was really cool and he believed you could become an amazing hero one day

- when he asked what school you wanted to go to and you said UA, he almost fainted. after that, he made sure you worked really hard so you were guaranteed a spot in the hero course while he did the same

- he still made sure to make time to play video games with you everyday though

- you guys planned to meet up before the entrance exam but there were so many people, you couldn’t find him. he purposely hid from you so you wouldn’t get more nervous than you already were but he made sure to catch you before you left

- after the exam, you were waiting outside for him, twiddling your hands. you were nervous about how you did. he saw you first and decided to surprise you. he slowly stunk up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist, resting his head on your shoulder

- “what’s up, hot stuff?”

- “denki!” you immediately turn around and engulf him in a hug.

- you guys stay in each others embrace for about five minutes before someone runs into the two of you and you decide to go somewhere less crowded

- you told your mom you were going out with a friend afterward so you didn’t have to go home immediately and kaminari took you to get ice cream. even though you insist against it, he pays for everything

- he walks you back to your street, you made sure he didn’t come all the way to your house just in case your mother was waiting for you

- you give him one last hug and before you can part ways with him, he gives you a quick peck on the lips

- you made sure to call him as soon as you got your letter from UA and you both opened it together and you both got accepted!

‘god, why is this school so big,’ you thought as you pushed through other students, trying to make your way back to class. you knew UA was a popular school, but it never occurred to you that it would be this crowded.

you startle as an arm wraps around your shoulder. you look up to see a familiar blond. “is someone lost?”

you scoff at him. “no, it’s just really crowded.”

“i can take care of that for you.” kaminari winks at you.

“denki, please don’t-”

“make way people! we’re trying to get through!” he yells as he grabs your hand and pulls you forward.

“oh my god, you are so embarrassing.” you cover your face with your free hand.

kaminari pulls you close to him once again. “you love me though.”

you lean up and kiss his cheek. “yes i do.”

I still think this is a lame idea but since you wanted to do it oh so badly I’ll play along. I’m pretty sure you just wanted to send them but didn’t want to do it alone. It’s fine though, I’ll go along with whatever you ask because I love you, but you already know that.

On a completely unrelated note how was your day? Did you eat? Drink water? I hope you’ve been taking care of yourself. I know it’s only been a few days since we last saw each other in person but it’s felt like way more. I don’t like the time we spend apart. I don’t like going anywhere if my favorite person isn’t there as well.

Love letters are usually overly dramatic right?

But in all seriousness I do miss you. Maybe I’m just being clingy but I guess that’s just the effect you have on me. You make me happy whenever you’re around. I feel loved and I hope I make you feel that way as well.

I can’t help but remember when I first realized that I had fallen in love with you. It was a regular day, actually there wasn’t anything special about it. I was tutoring you for our upcoming exam. You were concentrating really hard and the face you made was hilarious. I’d say sorry for laughing but then I’d be lying. If I recall correctly you pouted saying nothing was funny and I needed to work on my teaching skills (it’s always funny when you get annoyed) and in that moment all that I could think about was how much I was in love with you and I have been ever since.

So come back and reread this letter whenever you’re upset or need reassurance or just a reminder that I love you.
