First I hope you’re doing well!! This is the first time I’m doing this,I’m a bit nervous lol. 😂 But I really appreciate your works (I remember reading almost all your Haikyū’s materlist a while ago) so I wanted to send a little request : Kenma, Tsukishima and Kageyama comforting/helping their (G/N) S/O who’s very anxious about work/exams, but also very lazy and procrastinating. It doesn’t have to be really serious (but it can be, it’s as you prefer).

Kenma honestly kinda regretted asking if you wanted to study together - mostly because he wasn't quite sure how to help you out. It’s not that Kenma was particularly bad at school, he just hated having to pay attention to anything that wasn’t remotely exciting. 

Normally, during exam week, Kuroo would come by and study with the two of you (”Gotta whip you two lazy asses into shape!” Kuroo would insist, with a huge grin on his face and his hands on his hips). But this week, Kuroo was too busy with his own study schedule, it was up to you two to study by yourselves.

“I give upppp,” you whined, having stared at the same textbook page for the past 4 minutes. “It doesn’t make sense. I’ll just take the ‘L’ and give up.”

Kenma’s lips twitched into a small smile, finding your whining oddly amusing. It reminded him of all the times he tried to play games with you. You’d whine that it was too hard or that it didn’t make any sense, and then become one of the most competitive people he’d ever seen.

“It’s the one class you never pay any attention to, so I’m not surprised you don’t remember anything,” he told you gently, filling out a practice sheet slowly.

“Hey! It’s not my fault! It’s near the end of the day and I get tired after lunch,” you huffed, peeking over his shoulder and tugging on his shirt sleeve. “Teach me, pleaseeeee.”

“Y/N, we aren’t even studying for the same class,” Kenma pointed out, poking at his maths work and nodding towards your literature notes. “If you keep this up, I’m going to beat you in all of your classes.”

You gaped at your boyfriend’s declaration of war, shaking your head, “No way! I beat you in maths and english all the time!”

“And I beat you in literature and english,” Kenma shrugged. “Keep whining all day and I’ll be just as good as you are in maths.”

You glared at him, squinting your eyes slightly to make sure he was really being honest here, “You’re trying to pick a fight with me hm? Trying to make me study? Cause you think I’m competitive?”

Kenma looked over at you with a smug little smirk on his face, shrugging innocently and turning back to his work, “Even if you don’t work, my parents said they’d take my games away if I don’t get good marks. So I’m already working hard. But you’ve just spent the last half hour pouting. I think I’ve already got a headstart, don’t you?” 

“You little bitch,” you hissed shaking your head, “I’m not that competitive, you may think I am but I’m not!” But Kenma watched as you angrily grabbed your books and shoved your nose into them, reading quickly and trying to absorb as much information as you could. “I’m not doing this because you egged me on. I’m doing this because I want to,” you told him pointedly, making sure he was clear on your motives.

Kenma just laughed a little, watching you because you were always so cute when you pursed your lips like that in concentration, “Fine fine. But I don’t lose, Y/N.”

“That’s what you always say in Mario Kart and yet I beat you every time.”

“You cheat everytime.”

“It’s not my fault that my character is significantly better than yours!”

“Say it to my face.”

“I just did, idiot!”

“I’m not the idiot, you’re the one who can’t tell the difference between ‘there’ and ‘their’!”

“ENGLISH IS HARD, KENMA! IT’S NOT MY FAULT! WHO THE HELL WAS LIKE YES I’M GOING TO CHANGE SOME LETTERS, MAKE IT SOUND THE EXACT SAME, BUT HAVE THREE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MEANINGS!”

Needless to say, you both were pretty fired up about studying after yelling at each other some more, glaring playfully across your little study area on Kenma’s floor. But hey, any motivation is good motivation when it comes to studying, right?

Tsukishima shook his head as he watched you fiddle around with your pencil, a dazed look over your eyes telling him you weren't actually reading anything in the textbook in front of you.

"For someone who begged me to study with them, you're not getting anything done," he called you out, making you jump a little out of your daydreams with a sheepish sort of smile.

"I can't focus that's all," you pouted, looking back down at your book. The final exam consisted of 7 different chapters' materials and you hadn't even gotten through the first one. "I hate exams," you sighed, starting to feel your test anxiety creeping up on you.

"You're not going to learn anything just by looking over your textbook, especially when you have the attention span of a squirrel," Tsukishima glanced at what chapter you were on before closing his own book. He watched you for a moment before grabbing his bag and pulling out a stack of cue cards, sliding them in front of you. "Come on, test me."

"I can't test you, Tsukishima, I don't know anything!"

"You would if you wouldn't put off studying till the days before an exam," he sassed you, pushing the study cards to you further. "Come on. It'll help, I promise." His last words seemed a little softer and when you looked up at him you noticed how almost concerned he seemed for you.

You gave in and flipped through a few of the cards, picking out one and asking him the question he had meticulously written on.

Tsukishima explained things with ease, so bluntly that you honestly felt like this was a waste of time, testing him. Especially since you were the one that didn't know anything. But as you two went through more cards, you realized just what this snarky asshole had done.

"Did that make sense?" he asked, after explaining some term you had seen in your notes over and over again.

You nodded slowly, trying to connect what you had previously known and his explanation, "I think so..." You paused as you picked out another card, looking up at him. "When did you have time to make these?"

"Last night," he shrugged. "Keep going."

"Last night? But... you had practice last night. You were so exhausted you fell asleep so early!"

Tsukishima looked away from you, suddenly finding something very interesting on his pencil, both of his hands fiddling with it. "I know you've been stressed over this exam. But I also know you don't learn well with all the technical jargon that's in those textbooks. I just figured we could beat two birds with one stone, my studying and your learning."

You looked up at him in surprise, running your fingers over the massive stack of cue cards. No wonder he had seemed to sleepy this morning. "Thank you," you mumbled shyly, jumping as you felt him kick you (somewhat lightly) under the table.

"Come on, don’t get distracted. We haven’t even gotten halfway through the first chapter,” he pointed out, looking at you like a stern teacher but as you looked at how neatly he wrote out these cue cards, you knew that it was that hidden sort of caring that Tsukishima always seemed to have for you.

After Tsukishima finished explaining the first chapter, he turned it on you and tried to pry explanations from you this time. He smiled at how easily you picked up certain things when he explained them, patting your head gently in approval when you answered a question somewhat seamlessly.

“See? Not that hard right? That’s the worst chapter too, so you’ll be fine if you keep focused.”

You nodded sheepishly, smiling up at him and reaching up to press a kiss to his cheek, “Thank you, Tsukishima. I really appreciate you trying to help me learn.”

Tsukishima’s cheeks flared up in a rosy colour, his eyes immediately diverting from yours as he stammered out, “W-Well I can’t be dating someone who’s failing all their classes, so try and focus please.” He was really trying to make his voice all stern and snarky, like usual, but the blush on his ears made your grin more.

“Okay okay okay. Ask me another!” You insisted happily, ready to show off your newfound knowledge. 

Later, when your results came in and Tsukishima saw just how well you did, even in the classes you were normally pretty mediocre in, he just smirked and gave you another pat on the head, “See? Told you you weren’t that stupid,” he teased, walking ahead. And then, to show you just how proud he was, Tsukishima bought you your favourite ice cream cone after school. Because at the end of the day, he really was just a softie for you.

Kageyama was the one to come to you, begging for help in studies. It’s not like you were the top of your class or anything, but Kageyama knew you were doing better off than he was (though that wasn’t the hardest thing to do - this man has very little patience for schoolwork).

You, Hinata, Kageyama, and Yachi had all studied together before in the past, cramming your collective knowledge in the boys’ brains in hopes that something would stick in them.

But tonight, Kageyama had come to your door, apologizing to your mother who looked surprised that your boyfriend had come by so late in the evening, begging you to help him study.

“I tried to do it all on my own but... it makes more sense when you’re there with me,” Kageyama admitted quietly, sheepishly looking at you in hopes you’d agree to aid his studies. You just smiled and invited him to come upstairs with you, the two of you working tirelessly over your subjects together.

“English is stupid,” Kageyama groaned after a few minutes of non-stop focus, shaking his head as he tried to understand the multitude of exceptions to every rule. “Why do we even need to learn this?”

“Because when you play volleyball internationally, more people are going to have learnt English, not Japanese,” you pointed out with a smile. 

Kageyama considered this and nodded slowly, deciding that if he needed it to communicate with his future teams, perhaps he should pay attention after all. 

But after a while, your own procrastination habits kicked in and you found yourself staring at your phone more than your own notes. “Oi, I came to make sure you were studying too, you know,” Kageyama pointed out, whisking your phone away. “You said you wanted to go to college one day. Can’t do that if you’re not studying right.”

“I don’t think you have any right to call me out on my study habits,” you pointed out with your tongue sticking out childishly.

Kageyama considered this and nodded slowly, “You’re right. But if you don’t do well on your exams, your parents won’t let you do anything fun right?”

You nodded with a sigh, already dreading doing these exams because of your parents’ high expectations. 

“Well I was thinking that we could do a lot more together this summer,” Kageyama admitted quietly. “And... I don’t really want to do it with anyone else so... if you get grounded...” his voice trailed off at the end, a light pink colour dusting over you boyfriend’s ears and cheeks as he tried to think of how to romantically put this.

“Are you trying to say you want to go on dates with me, Kageyama Tobio?” You teased, poking his arm.

Kageyama’s cheeks flushed more red this time, hearing his first name from your lips, “S-So what if I do?” He snapped with a huff, shoving your books closer to you. “If you’re grounded all summer, I’ll have to put up with that idiot Hinata so hurry up and learn so we can hang out all the time.”

You smiled up at him, just laughing over how flustered he got when it came to making cute comments about you before nodding, “Fine fine. You’re right. I want to spend as much time with you as possible so I gotta get the best grades ever!”

So maybe the best grades weren’t necessarily an attainable goal, after all, you and Kageyama have both put off studying for weeks before freaking out about the upcoming exams. But you both ended up passing, and getting better grades than usual, so at the very least, you had made your own parents and Yachi pretty proud. 

Plus, now you’d get to spend all summer bugging your boyfriend, when he wasn’t jogging or doing some practice. And who would’ve guessed it, but Kageyama Tobio could actually be pretty romantic when he had some spare time on his hands.

☾ SAKUSA you smile at him as stumbles into the passenger seat with a huff, flushed cheeks and eyes a little glazed and you know he’s drunk, probably his teammates doing, but he’s quiet. you’re already half way home before you decide to speak, noticing how kiyoomi’s gaze seems locked on the world outside the passenger window. “you okay, omi?” “y-yeah.” quiet, followed by a sniffle from the man beside you “are you s—“ “sometimes.. i just feel overwhelmed that you exist.. and that you’re mine, sweetheart.” you notice the shake in his hands as they grip at his thighs but the warmth in your chest feels familiar. “how many shots did atsumu give you?” it’s lighthearted your reply, just like the giggle that sounds from him when he finally turns to face you “s-shutup.” eyes a little redder than normal alongside a wobbly smile that serves as a silent thank you for pulling him back, you were always good at that. his hand reaches for yours, intertwining it with his own before he brings it up to place a kiss against your skin, and you squeeze his hands after as a silent confession of i’m glad you exist too.

☾ ATSUMU you hear a whine from the man below you, running your hand through the messy bleached hair on his head while he wraps himself around the toilet bowl, tear stained cheeks as he turns to blink up at you, a handsome smirk on his lips despite the facts he’s been vomiting for the past ten minutes. his features soften as his hand reaches for yours, fingers intertwining tightly with your own as he turns to face the toilet bowl again “don’t leave, angel. please” “i won’t, tsumu.” “p-promise?” he inhales a breath, a new set of tears trailing down his cheeks and you don’t know if it’s the burning in his throat or the warmth in his heart that caused them this time, but he speaks again, quieter this time. “am sorry for keepin’ ya awake with me, baby. y-ya love me anyway, right? yer just so good, a don’t deserve ya, a—“ “tsumu, i’ll always love you. promise.” he turns to blink up at you again, cheeks still flushed and his smiles softer this time, sighing when he feels your hands push back his hair “a don’t deserve ya, but if ya let me, al prove a can give ya the world anyway.” “you are my world, tsumu.” “does that mean a get a kiss?” “ew no.” “babyyy, al brush ma teeth.”

☾ SUNA you try to stifle a laugh when as you guide your 6’3 boyfriend into the bedroom, feeling him stumble behind you as he mumbles a curse under his breath every few seconds before he stops dead in the middle of the room, arms snaking around your waist to pull you against his chest even though he stumbles slightly at the impact “rin, you have to sleep.” “sososo pretty, pretty baby.” his palms are warm when they come to rest against your cheeks, squishing them slightly as he gazes down at you, lips upturning slightly when you roll your eyes at him “okay, time for bed.” he huffs before grabbing your waist, spinning and pulling you down on the bed behind you both, rolling you underneath him just so he can flop on top of you after. “you’re squishing me rin, get off.” “comfy. goodnight, ugly.” you scoff before giggling, feeling his arms around you waist tighten at the sound as he nuzzles into the crook of your neck, his eyes finally fluttering closed because it truly did sound like his forever.

☾ IWAIZUMI you snort when you hear him stumble in the bedroom door, probably tripping over his own feet as he tries to navigate in the dark, hissing a curse under his breath. “doll, you up?” “you okay, haji?” you look up at him as you reach over to flick on the bedside lamp, hearing him groan at the light as he holds a tattered mcdonald’s bag close to his chest “i missed you tonight. i brought you this, shittykawa tried to steal it but i kicked his ass.” you try to stifle a giggle as he hands you some soggy fries and half of his own burger, blinking down at you with parted lips and flushed cheeks “let me take care of you.” as he shakily feeds you a fry while you bat away his hand, causing him to frown as his lips jut out to form a pout “i’ll eat tomorrow, thank you though. come to bed, okay?” he grunts, stumbling into bed beside you before immediately pulling you against his chest, placing a few sloppy kisses to your face “you take such good care of me doll, shit i love you.” his grip softening as he snores quietly into the crook of your neck.

☾ OSAMU you giggle when you see him come through the living room door, returning from his night with his old teammates at school. “there ya are, sweetheart.” his cheeks are flushed, smile a little brighter but wobblier than usual, probably the alcohol in his system you note as he stumbles towards you, arms immediately wrapping around your waist while he nuzzles into the crook of your neck. he was always a little clingier when he was drunk but he was sleepier too, which now ended up with you trying to support his weight when he got too comfy around you “samu, let’s go to bed.” “angel, y-ya know yer the best thing that’s ever happened ta me right?” you grin as you try to inch yourself down the hall, hearing him speak again “tonight, when people were askin’ me what a was most proud of, ya know a said you, cos shit it’ll always be you.” his words became more slurred at he dozed off in your neck, causing your steps to falter slightly before you finally reached the bed, setting him down while he blinks up at you “ya make it all worth it, sweetheart, ‘ts all for ya.” before he finally falls asleep.

Post time skip Ushijima does stop you from biting him when he's being interviewed though

Kuroo:

This man will bite back

Like Ushijima, he won't care if you bite him in public either

He's so chill yet teasing about it

At random times during the day, Kuroo would just hold his arm out to you as a silent "bite me" gesture

I guarantee he will bite you out of nowhere too

Like if you're focused on doing an assignment for school, he'll sneak up on you and just go "Nom!"

"Kuroo!" "What? You were so focused, I couldn't help myself!"

Atsumu:

Atsumu laughed the first time you bit him

He thinks it's cute

He does playfully bite back too

But not as much as Kuroo does

If you bite him, he will bite back

Sometimes he does bite a little too hard and forms a hickey

Osamu had to yell at Atsumu when he saw a few marks littered across your neck and arms

"Osamu-" "Atsumu! We can't let her go out like this!" "She's my girlfriend, Osamu!" "No!"

And Atsumu is literally kicked across the room by his twin

"Y/n! We have to fix you!" "I'm not broken, Osamu!"

Osamu:

I see Osamu as someone who got used to your biting very quickly

Since he often makes food for you to try, you'd go "Nom!" on him a lot

"Nom, nom, nom." "Osamu?" "What, Atsumu?" "Are you okay?" "Yeah. Why?"

Like Kuroo and Ushijima, he's so chill about it

He could be doing something while you're chomping away and he won't care

As long as you don't bite him too hard, he's fine

"Osa!" "Hmm?" "Nom, nom." "Here."

But sometimes he does say "no"

"No, Y/n." "But-" "I said 'no'. I need both hands to make food for us." "Can I hug you then?" "Of course."

i finished maid sama and it was SO GOOD BUT I SCREAMED SM RIP MY THROAT
