Yamaguchi was trying his very hardest not to laugh, his hands clasped together in front of his lips to stifle his giggles as the tall blond boy he had known for years just looked at him desperately.

“It’s not funny,” Tsukishima’s lips formed into a frown (almost a pout), looking away from his friend nervously. His fingers played with some chopsticks, poking at his uneaten lunch.

Yamaguchi had never see Tsukishima Kei nervous. Volleyball games? Totally calm. Math class? Easy. Exam season? Piece of cake.

But put Tsukishima near a girl? No, scratch that. Not just any girl. Put Tsukishima near Y/N? It was all over for him. Suddenly, this 190cm tall boy wanted to shrink small enough to run away and not be noticed.

“It’s a little funny, Tsukki,” Yamaguchi insisted, finally letting out just a tiny chuckle that he just couldn’t hold back. “I think you’re overreacting. Just a bit.”

Tsukishima’s eyes turned back to the other boy, staring at him as if analyzing him, “How could I be overreacting? I’m telling you, I’m allergic!”

“Alright, now listen up!” Daichi called the team over after practice one day, hands on his hips as he announced with a grin, “The teams that we had our summer camps with are having a summer picnic next week! Our team will be leaving together and coming back later that evening. Bring some snacks or something else to contribute!”

Tsukishima sighed a little, rolling his eyes as Hinata starting yelling about how excited he was. They literally just finished the summer training camp - was there really a need to see everyone so soon? He wondered to himself if he could get out of it… maybe he could just not attend-

“And yes, your attendance is mandatory,” Daichi added, shooting a grin to Tsukishima, as if reading his mind. The blond first year groaned a little - he could barely handle this team, let alone everyone else he had to deal with in the summer camp.

❊ AKAASHI holds your hand as you two walk home together, leaning on each other for warmth. you fail to notice the soft look in his eyes as he listens to you blabber on about the day you just had. he hums along to your talking just to make sure you know he's listening, but if it were up to him he'd prefer to just listen to your voice all the way home. "i swear, keiji! the cup almost fell but i swooped in just in time like woop as in it was like in slow-mo and everyone was like ooooooaaah-". akaashi lets out a hearty laugh at your storytelling and squeezes your hand tighter, "what did you just- god, i think i love you." you look up to meet his warm smile, "oh you know you love me." you say as you playfully sway your intertwined hands.

❊ ATSUMU holds in his laughter, not giving you the satisfaction of seeing him laugh like a mad person at your very corny jokes. "alright, stop that, let's just eat, k?" he bites his lip as you dramatically pout at him you are such a cutie ok , "fine, whatever." you say defeated as you get something off the fridge, you were far from defeated actually. "ohmYGOD-" you shriek out and atsumu immediately runs over to you. "what's wro-" "itsthemostbeautifulthingiveseeninmylife its a watermeloan" you shove the watermelon bowl with uhm watermelon inside to his face, "inside a watermeloan!" you both stand still, waiting for the other to break, and as you expected atsumu's wide grin finally plasters his pretty face. the kitchen fills with atsumu's booming laugh and your triumphant woohoos, "y/n i swear-" he moves dangerously closer to you, "i think i love you too much to be laughing at that what the hell-"

❊ USHIJIMA snuggles into you deeper, breathing in your scent. you both had a long day and ending it with this cuddling, with this warmth is all you both need. ushi adjusts his hold on you, moving you impossibly closer to him and you can't help but smile. you softly comb his hair with your fingers and watch the way the moonlight touches his features just right, you bask in the way his breath comfortably fills the room. "y/n?" he calls for you in the softest voice, "hm?" the pitter-patter of the rain outside the window slowly lulls him to sleep but before his eyes flutter close he whispers, "i think i love you." ushi shakes his head, "no, i know i love you." he corrects himself and this warmth spreads across your chest. "i know," you kiss the tip of his nose, "i love you too, ushi."

❊ KUROO gawks at you from the other side of the room, he's been shamelessly staring at you for the past hour but you choose to ignore him. "hmmm..." he hums in a playful tone as you continue to type away on your laptop, nope you're not going to give him what he wants. "y/nnnnn, what should we order for dinner?" he asks still eyeing you. "anything you want, tetsu. just need to finish this, okay?" kuroo lets out a dramatic huff and leans back on his chair, "so you weren't ignoring me after all." you look up from your screen to roll your eyes at him and start working again. he lets out another dramatic scoff and takes the seat next to yours, "you know i've been staring at you for over an hour now thinking about how much i think i love you and you give me an eye roll?" kuroo scoffs again while placing his hands on his chest. you stop typing at the words he just said, a blush creeping on your cheeks. you take a second to collect yourself, this is what he wants! "you think?" you ask playfully. kuroo flashes you a triumphant smirk, "yeah, come here and i'll think about it again."

❊ SAKUSA shuffles to the door at the sound of your keys opening them. "omi~ i'm home- oh!" you beam from behind your mask as you see him greeting you with a soft smile. "welcome home, i can take that." he takes the bag of groceries from your hand and heads to the kitchen. you follow him inside and smile to yourself, his habit of organizing the groceries (even though he's not at his house lol) is just way too cute. "hey, i got this you can go rest up. they're my groceries anyway." you giggle as you wash your hands. "it's okay. you know i like doing this-" he says while placing the carton of milk in the fridge. "-for you, especially." he mumbles soft enough for you not to catch it. oh, but you did. you watch sakusa gently place your groceries in the right places, he handles everything with such care that you can't help but smile to yourself. "oh! i almost forgot! i got you something." you rummage through the grocery bag and scoop up a cute dog-shaped hand sanitizer (yikes idk how to describe it but there). sakusa looks up from his organizing and turns into putty, he takes the sanitizer from your hand and smiles, "thank you," he whispers and you beam at him. "i remember you mention how you like shiba inus so when i saw this i was like oooh omi would loooove this-" he looks at the sanitizer then at you, "y/n, i think i love you..." you look up at him and gasp, "omi! i can't believe all it took was a cute sanitizer for you to tell me that! i-" sakusa scoffs and returns back to work, all the lovey-dovey out of his system no it isn't wink wink.

❊ IWAIZUMI softens at your furrowed eyebrows and pouted lips. "well, what else do you have to say, y/n?" you shoot him a glare and huff, "i don't care what you say haji but mint chocolate ice cream does not deserve any rights." iwaizumi takes a spoonful of his mint choco ice cream and shrugs, "it's really good i don't know what you're talking about." you let out a dramatic gasp, "you're basically eating toothpaste how is that good?" you shake your head in disbelief and continue to verbally abuse his ice cream. iwaizumi chuckles at you and your antics, he loves it when you talk, even when you talk about the most absurd of things. he loves the way you speak fast when you're excited and how your hands dramatically flail around you when you're making a point. "-so that is exactly why I believe mint chocolate ice cream should cease to exist. bleh." you eye his cup and stick your tongue out mockingly. iwaizumi lets out a full laugh, not minding how loud he's being, "that's stupid, y/n. god, i think i love you to be listening to this right now." he mindlessly takes another spoon of ice cream, oblivious of the words he just muttered. you in the other hand, become a blushing mess and stop talking altogether, "you love me?" you ask fiddling with your own cup of ice cream. iwaizumi stops scooping his ice cream and looks up at you, shit, he thinks, he never meant to say it aloud. "uhm, i-" his face turns red and he avoids your gaze. and because you're an angel you decide to smirk up at him and coo, "well, if you love me more than mint chocolate then i might just think of accepting you hajime." he looks up at you again and upon seeing your playful smile, he knew that everything was well. "hmm, let me think about that, y/n." he matches your smirk and takes another bite of his ice cream.
