Thank you for speaking out about this. With my nerodivergent I can definitely relate, I feel so lonely sometimes. Like I can't connect with anyone, like there's these unspoken rules I don't know so everyone thinks I'm a psycho when I speak. They make fun of the way I phrase them and pick apart my round about explanations. I wish people could know this, know that I'm just like anyone else, that I just want a friend.
Honestly one of the worst things about being autistic is that sometimes it just feels like I’m speaking a whole other language than everyone around me.
Like, my family often complains about my short answers and how I apparently “talk in circles” or something, but what I say makes total sense to me.
It’s just…. So frustrating…..
I have only just gotten Tumblr but I'm so addicted. Everyone here is incredible accepting, welcoming and encouraging, not to mention dead hard hilarious! Thank you guys for this community, y'all are awesome!!💕
Had to repeat this alot to me, through spell-checks, rewrites, and entire re-plotting it's so easy to get discouraged. But keep going. Keep writing. That's what makes writers, writers, because they keep writing.
Fun fact:
Just because a story ends up needing more work than you thought it would does not mean you’re a bad writer or that your story it isn’t still worthwhile and fantastic.
Writing is an impossible craft to master.
But it’s still more than worth floundering through because if you keep going eventually you’ll come out the other side with something brilliant.
