im so awful at drawing Taylor but I will try again just to do this one because it's gorgeous

so I think I figured something out.

I'm hopefully getting ahsoka's Galaxy's edge lightsabers soon and in all the reviews I've seen people always point out how the shoto is the wrong color, because it's green instead of the yellow-green that we see in the clone wars

however, if Disney wanted to have this color, they would, because the shoto even has a different tone of sound font, it doesn't match the main saber exactly. every time Disney has released an animated padawan ahsoka, both her sabers are green

a bit of digging with find you with the story that when they were deciding on ahsoka's shoto George Lucas wanted green and Dave wanted yellow, they settled on yellow-green (which I'm not really a fan of). i find it funny that its here when Disney wants to follow what George wanted tbh

but in conclusion, Disney did it on purpose, and personally I like when lightsabers match eachother

Ahsoka Tano (Taylor's Version)

I've been wondering for a while how to put everything I've seen about the acolyte finale into words and this is it here, plain and simple. it was an amazing finale.

The Acolyte spoilers:

It’s wild to me how much discourse there is about points from The Acolyte that I think were pretty obvious lol

People arguing about Qimir being a Sith or not. He explicitly said he was looking for an acolyte. An acolyte is an apprentice to the apprentice of the Sith master. Then Qimir said he wanted the power of two. I mean what more evidence do we need lol

Also about Plagueis being his master. I’m not 100% sure, but I’m 99% sure he is lol my theory is, is that Plagueis has heard about these twins and has ordered Qimir to train one or Qimir is doing all this on his own cause eventually he needs to overthrow his master (we know the future, this won’t happen).

The bleeding crystal. The argument is “but anakins lightsaber didn’t bleed!$&&/“ yeah because his crystal wasn’t exposed. Did we miss the multiple shots of Sols exposed lightsaber and the blue crystal????? Osha bled the crystal cause she was touching it.

Was it romantic at the end? YES.

Anyway just needed to get this off my chest or hands whatever lol cause I’m seeing too many people not get this

so my thoughts so far, it being the next day

first thoughts:

out of the box, the shoto wouldn't display color on the blade at all, but it did have sound, luckily I did bring fresh batteries to the park and switched them out, that fixed it just fine.

hilts:

they're absolutely gorgeous, very accurate, a little big for my hands, definitely made for grown man hands which I find ironic lol, hopefully it's just because of the electronics inside (ignoring the fact that other brands have them in a slimmer style)

i can still spin them a bit, I love the way they sound, it's not too loud which is perfect for my taste. The ignition and swinging sounds are satisfying but the smooth swing kinda just decides when it wants to work

blades:

I got the 34 inch blade and the 24 inch blade and 34 inch is ridiculously long for me, I had no clue it was that big, and the 24 was perfect for my size

the 34 inch blade started to malfunction, sometimes the color just stops displaying but the shorter one works perfectly, I'm in love

the scrolling effect is smooth enough for me but I'm more used to baselit sabers so take it with a grain of salt

I'm gonna try to get a replacement blade so I'll update on that for sure but so farrrr

final thoughts:

sabers: 8/10, a little chunky, a little easy to scratch, the smooth swings is way off.

blades: 5/10 you can see the led placement inside the blade and the larger one just stopped working and was way too long for a main blade.

i would recommend, id just get two shoto sized blades (even though it's not accurate, it's just better that way) and I want to have it clear
