Was daydreaming about an actual feminist reversal of male power fantasies that didn’t just become weird fetish shit for men and actually meaningfully made men uncomfortable. And it was after researching a lot about the worst pornography so I was evilly imagining a movie where a woman killed men who did things like that and really focused uncomfortably on the male pain like movies have done to women for years, even in films that were supposed to be feminist. But anyway during my imagination I very quickly found the limit to where it became too disturbing. I want men who publish porn videos where they torture women to feel pain and I want the men who watch it to feel too horrified to turn the lights off at night. But in my worst fantasies I can barely imagine hurting them in the way they hurt us, I can’t fathom paying a real actor to reenact suffering from this revenge fantasy for me. I just want the men who hurt women to stop; I want us to be safe.
