Hi! I softly love the Lord Astarion, and honestly the fandom focuses so much on his angst potential that I just fell out of love with angst. Even though I got into BG3 just because of it and chose Astarion. My story. :-D ... \I hope it'll pass with time. Yandere includes dere, Love-obsession includes love. Balance, and it's still in canon, it's getting more and more complex and charming. I'd like the closest to canon (as of course you see it) – headcanons on a pretty fluffy concept like this, from the first meeting to the final. A sensitive, "weak" at times (she cries and gets timid), fun, strange, and pretty clever, neutral Tav who fell under Astarion's dark charms 100%. Really falls in love and cares for him right away, his dark side attracts, cheered her. He ascended. She's understanding everything as always and totally fine with it all. It's all savage for everyone else, but not for these two. Happy (evil) ending. I hope I didn't score above 50% God-modding. Let it take as long as it takes. Thank you for your posts!

Oh, it'll be back. It's like how you can get sick of fluff when you crave something with a bit more of an edge. Stuff like that comes and goes.

For a true love, evil ending for Astarion and his consort, it would be the night of the loving undead. What I love more is Withers has epilogue dialogue that suggests that this is exactly how their relationship plays out. The ending resonates with this line by the Goblin King, Jareth, from the Labyrinth.

"I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave."

Astarion has no reason to get angry or upset with you when you align with his views. Quite the opposite. He'll shower you with twice as much affection and gifts just to show you how much he appreciates it. Gifts are quite often too. You will not go a day without roses, your favorite flowers, jewelry, clothes, etc., being presented to you by your new husband.

Though, regardless of your nature, Astarion would tailor any and all interactions to fit you better. He will play on your strengths to the point he'll forget your weaknesses. You're essentially being placed on a pedestal in his eyes and he will include you in most, if not all, of his planning. Nothing gets put into place without your approval.

Of course, he can second-guess himself at times and has to check with you if you can go through with trapping guests for a bloodbath of sorts or if you want certain people as spawns, and perhaps other consorts. He will do his damnedest to make you comfortable to keep you in the same mindset as him. The last thing he wants is to have to lock you somewhere until you see reason.

He will never be too far away from his Beloved, either. If you decide to go somewhere, he goes too, either in his humanoid form or curled up against you in bat form if he doesn't feel like interacting or being seen. You knew better to go off alone and had no problem adhering to this. Gods help anyone who confronts you thinking you're alone as you have the confidence you don't need to lift a finger if the encounter gets messy. Worse, if it makes you cry. You'll learn early on that your crying will send Astarion into a fit of insane rage and the source of it will cease to exist no more than a pile of viscera and blood on the floor. Your touch is key to calming this down prematurely.

The only fear you have is his reaction to something he wouldn't like, but even then, you know you take sick, twisted delight in watching someone panic over the thought of it. Astarion had no reason to raise a hand to you as you always did as he asked so there was no need to flinch away from his hand or him in general. He was very good at persuading you to make different decisions with the hook that it would make him "happier if you did THIS instead of THIS." You love him, right? You'll change your mind for him, right?

On the rare occasion that he DID strike you, you are love-bombed within the hour once he processed what he had done. He had you perfectly obedient otherwise, he fears you will start acting out out of spite if he starts becoming physical with you. After one of these strikes, Astarion gets the idea to get a stand-in, mainly a fanatic he's been having issues with, that he can take his anger out on instead, saving you from any repercussions of your behavior and spoiling you even further as well as making you more dangerous in many people's eyes. You could get away with anything now. Within his reason, that is.
