I find posts where it’s talking about like identifying as it, and being it on a physical level.

And I just like, man I don’t relate to that at all. I don’t identify as my kins on a “physical level”. I’m not bothered by being physically human or anything. It doesn’t bother me. I’ve never and will never care about it, but that don’t mean I’m comfortable being called one. Like I don’t care about my physical form being human, but it’s just so weird to be called one.

I’ve haven’t really seen people talk about it this way. And I know it’s a spectrum, but like

Is this just me? Idk. I mean I guess I’m not bothered by it cause all of my kin’s are humanoid or can shapeshift, but like it feels weird and uncomfortable to be called a human.

I’m weird.

Cause my alterhuman-ness doesn’t work in the same way my trans-ness does. (These words don’t make sense, but work with me) Like I don’t care about changing my appearance, but like I also don’t wanna be bothered by humans cause I look like one.

Idk. It just doesn’t work in the sense.

Mines more of a mental thing, and it’s probably cause I’m unstable.

I kind of want to talk about an au I have.

I don’t know how many people are actually in this “fandom” on here, but I’m so it anyway.

So this is all based on OSP’s jttw the west series on yt. And I call him Sandy :3

So basically after the Journey was over, Wukong was like bye and disappear for a while. Not a big deal, right? Yeah, that was until he returned. He went back to his old ways with some improvements.

He didn’t murder anyone unless they attacked him or his monkeys

Is the main one.

Problem though, he basically started acting as a trickster god. He does pranks and trickster god things in Heaven mainly. Nothing that actually causes big problems like he did before, but everyone quickly gets annoyed by him. They all know he can beat their asses, but something has to be done. He can’t just keep this up, he’s not even an actual god! So they make a plan

They can’t kill him, and they can’t imprison him. So what’s the next best option? Seals. A shit ton of seals. Since the journey didn’t work the way it was meant to, maybe a new view on life would.

They basically just seal away his powers and his memories. And he’s turned into a human. Then he’s just dumped on the mortal plane, and they just fucking hope it works. Oh and they put another circlet on him, but it’s only there if he tries to you know over throw heaven again. The only one with any ability to activate it is QuanYin.

So meet Sandy :3 He’s my jttw oc/au

A quick run down of everything from his point of view:

He doesn’t know who he was before waking up. He woke up in the middle of nowhere alone and scared.

He does know lots of things are out to get him for some reason. Lots of demons seem to want him dead, which is terrifying.

He also can’t take this crown off, and it’s really painful when he tries.

He can’t really fight, and he’s fucking scared to anyways. So he usually runs and hides whenever a fight happens.

He’s a ball of anxiety, and is constantly worrying about everything. Like everything. He’s scared of everyone and everything. His anxiety is through the roof.

His eyes are special because they let him his the aura/magic of a person, but it also stops glamorouses from working (not shapeshifting, just glamorouses). He can’t turn it off, no matter how much he wants to.

He’s constantly in his own world. He struggles with focusing on anything and when he does, he gets way too focused on it.

He got Anxiety and ADHD.

He is Sun Wukong, but obviously he is not aware. And as I explained before the heavens ended up putting seals on him. Magic Anthesis basically.

Also he didn’t name himself, some folks he met did. He got his “first name” from the kid, and the other folks gave him his “middle” names. He knew his last name, but that just cause a random note was left that said “Sũn” so he amused that as his name.

He’s happily Genderfluid and AroAce, well Cupioromantic Asexual.

This was a long post, but I wanted to talk about my au/oc. He’s cute and silly, and also a ball of anxiety :3

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

Something to tell fans.

It’s a cartoon directed for kids and considering China’s very STRICT cartoon censorship which BANNED bloody, vulgar and violent cartoons from being aired, meaning you need to take creative liberties in order to sustain the cartoon you’re making.

Especially since LMK is being broadcasted in CHINA first. (Since it is a sort of adaptation/fanfiction of the original legend)

I’ve seen people get SO mad at Macaque’s inaccuracy and shit, but what about, Wukong, Sha Wujing, Zhu Bajie, Tang Sanzang, Ao Lie, Red Son, DBK, Princess Iron Fan and a bunch of different villains that aren’t completely accurate to the original?

Wukong was a murderer.

Sha Wujing ate Tripitaka’s last Nine Lives yet is still friendly with them.

Zhu Bajie was more than a flirt, he was straight up a pervert.

Tang Sanzang was a pathetic human whose only character development was him not falling off his horse every 3 seconds and a pathetic human who always got kidnapped that at this point the a fly could kidnap him.

Ao Lie was…not really a very impactful character since he doesn’t do much in the story?

Red Son was an adult when he met Wukong, not a child and he kidnapped Tripitaka so that he and DBK would eat him.

I don’t know if OSP is right, but apparently DBK and Iron Fan are divorced. And PIF was a more redeemable character.

DBK loves Red Son to the point he always remembered when his birthday was.

LBD wasn’t powerful as shit and she sure as hell didn’t have a henchman.

And The Camel Ridge Trio weren’t even sworn brothers with Wukong, the only one accurate was DBK. Macaque also wasn’t a sworn brother, that was a theory made by someone else years after the book was published.

And with the Camel Ridge Trio, Azure wasn’t the leader, it was Peng.

Obviously the show’s inaccurate to the original, what the hell did you expect with Macaque?!
