Camp! Cuddles

*cracks knuckles* It’s time for some summertime HCs and One-Shots.

The whole crew was finishing their last smores as the night grew. Amy sat next to Mark, purposefully bumping his arm so that he could drop his marshmallow into the ashes. He returned the bumps and the two were a giggling mess as their marshmallows almost lit on fire. Kathryn was quiet, she carefully turned her marshmallow before plucking it off it’s stick and carefully placing it between her crackers. Tyler and Ethan, however, tried their best to stay close, but not too close. You see, they haven’t figured out how to.. come out, so to speak, to their friends yet. So for the time being, they decided that they would tell the group after the trip, in case it ruined their moods or something. But it woukd never happen. They’re too nice. Tyler kept glancing at Ethan who gazed at the stars while he held his marshmallow above the licking flames. The way his eyes skid slowly over the stars, his face tilted in awe, the way the light flickered on his face. It made Tyler want to paint a picture and frame it in a museum. “Tyler, can you put out the fire?“Mark asked once he and Amy finished their charred smores. "Sure.” He replied as he began to collect the stick that they left scattered. Ethan stood up, announcing he’d help. While the others headed to their tents, Mark and Amy sharing one respectively, Tyler and Ethan cleaned up the small mess they all made. “Y'know, It’s really beautiful. Looking at all these stars. The way they just… cover the entire sky. It’s amazing.” Ethan marveled as he looked up in amusement. “Not as beautiful as you, though.” Tyler chuckled with a wink. Ethan blushed. “Careful!” He hissed quietly, “they might hear you.” “Let them.” Tyler replied as he took a few strides over and lifted Ethan off his feet as he pulled him into a kiss that left the smaller boy giggling. Tyler peppered his face with kisses, Ethan patting his chest to stop, teasingly. “We should clean up.” Ethan giggled. Tyler made a faux pouting face before he obliged. Once the fire was out, they snuck into Tyler’s tent, his being the bigger one, and lay on the piles of blankets and pillows they laid out. The distant souns of nature remaimed in the air as they quietly lay when Ethan’s teeth began to chatter. Tyler looked over to see he was slightly shaking underneath his thin blanket. Wrapping an arm around Ethan, Tyler quietly cuddled against him, trying to infuse as much warmth as he could into his boyfriend. Ethan’s quivering subsided as he mindlessly caressed Tyler’s forearm. The action was soothing. “Hey, Ty?” He whispered. “Yeah, Eth?” “You’re a night sky covered with stars to me.” he confessed weakly as he began to drift into a sleeping state. “I love you too, Ethan..” he whispered back. Tyler wasn’t sure if Ethan heard him. But he couldn’t care less. All he wanted was to treasure this moment. And so they did as they fell asleep, cuddling into one another.
