On this journey he is accompanied by the king's best royal soldier (and his successor/prince) Charles, In which he sees himself as inferior to others of his class and does not see himself as a habit of following the king's expectations to be his future successor. Especially with him not having magic.

Henry also meets a sorceress named Ellie with a mysterious past.

At the same time, a young knight Rupert is appointed to protect Prince Dave from a neighboring kingdom. In which he hides a powerful magic in which his parents are ashamed.

The five meet in search of the magical gems, and on the way they meet the Toppets Guild, led by Reginald and his Right Hand Man.

Henry has a curse that causes him pain when speaking, King Glanforce gave him a magical amulet that allows him to communicate telepathically.

Right Hand Man is loyal to the guild and Reginald. Formerly just Reggie's bodyguard, he came to love him to the point that both, after forming the guild, got married.
