Virgil and Logan: *staring at each other awkwardly at the end of a conversation*

Virgil: ...

Logan: ...

*both speaking at the same time*

Virgil: I like you! / Logan: I'm aromantic.

Logan: Oh, this is... awkward.

Virgil: No, it's fine. I meant that I liked you platonically. Like very much. Like I love you, but not in the please date me kinda way. More in the I'd love to date you but only if you want to and it doesn't have to be romantic or anything I just want to be with you in a loving way.

Virgil: *sucking in a breath* Shoot. I had this all planned out on exactly how I would say it and explain it, yet I screwed it up. I fumbled so hard, didn't I? I should go. *turns to leave*

Logan: Wait!

Virgil: *stopping and looking at him*

Logan: Have you ever heard of a queer platonic relationship? A QPR?

Virgil: Oh yeah. I read a fanfic where the two main characters got into one. I ended up going down a research rabbit hole. It's actually how I realized that I loved you platonically. And then I realized that I loved you, a lot. Like a lot, a lot. Even if it is platonic.

Virgil: But what does that have to do with... oh. OH! You want to- with me. Does that mean you- or are you just doing it because- maybe-

Logan: Virgil. Yes, I want to be in a QPR with you, if you'd be okay with that. I...love you too, platonically. I was afraid you'd turn away if you found out I couldn't love you romantically, which is why I never confessed. So yes, I'm asking, would you like to be in a QPR with me?

Virgil: Oh, cool. That's...cool. Very cool. *Walks away and goes back to his room*

Logan: That's... not an answer.

Logan returns to his room, completely confused. But it's okay, because later Virgil sends him a text. When Logan opens it, he sees a link to a fanfic and the singular word "yes". And despite the vagueness of the text, Logan knows exactly what it means.

Maybe the two of them were proof that platonic soulmates existed.

Regulus recognized the signs as soon as he spotted the older boy sitting by himself in the library. James was so many things, but mysterious wasn’t one of them. He wore his heart on his sleeve, showed all his emotions in his face, and didn’t even try to hide what he wanted. So when he saw the older boy sitting there, head resting in his hand, staring off into space, he knew:

James was thinking about something. Something that made him happy.

He could tell by the way his beautiful lips curled into a sweet, private smile. By how his eyes sparkled and his nose crinkled, knocking his glasses askew. 

Regulus took a moment to admire him. To allow the wind to knock out of his lungs and his stomach to flip and turn in his abdomen as he took in the human version of sunshine. Because James always looked handsome when he was happy, but whoever made him smile like this now must be truly special, because James looked truly radiant. Like he was thinking about the love of his life.

He wanted to stare for hours. To just sit and gape at the beauty before him. But another student jostled him, knocking him out of his hiding place and causing him to emit a small yelp. 

And when James’s eyes found his, he hardly had time to blush. Because the other boy grinned and said, “Hey, Reg! I was just thinking about you!”

And Regulus could have melted just then and there.

Opinion on Platonic Moonwater???

They literally have my heart

absolutely love them! and here's my thoughts:

i think they would understand each other with just one look and would have entire conversations like that, without even saying a word, which would piss james and sirius so much. no one would read regulus' expressions like remus.

also think they have matching sassy humor and share a big love for gossip so they would complete each others comments bitching over someone and trade gossips like they were sharing serious information while having a smoke.

they would have long discussions about their favorite books full of "finally someone who understands" and "wow, we think so alike".

but opposite to prongsfoot they wouldn't be loud about it, it's not common for them to share lovely words or physical touch, that’s something they prefer to keep only to their boyfriends but they do have a really strong connection, they like to have deep conversations and are completely in love with each others mind.

last but not least, although they don't normally exchange compliments, regulus would, sometimes, blurt out things like "i don't know how my brother got a man like you" and "i have eyes, lupin, you're hot".
